4th Gen Platinum Q&A Thread

Hmm guys i have a problem with the wi-fi connection or i think that, since i can't upload battles or download them, and can't access to the world trade station ._.

And i can enter to the wi-fi room, but i can't connect with any of my friends, nor even trade or battle, any suggestions?

OHH this started after a battle i had this morning, after the battle i went to upload it so i can't loose it, and i couldn't upload it, i didn't know what the message said(japanese) but the recording don't have the number it should, so i can look for it :/, and right after that i couldn't even watch a battle <.<

You obviously do not have the actual legal game so we cant help yo with that.

Scrub. I can connect to WiFi with my pirated game, so that's clearly not the problem.

Either way, it seems to be fixed.

I said this because my copy acts that way and wont save until try and go into a Wifi terminal.
 
Quick Question

Lets say that I got a Pokemon from the GTS and it was Japanese, does that mean when this pokemon evolves it will stay with it's original japanese name, or it's english version name?

everytime i've gotten a JP pokemon and it evolved their name changed to english.

But if it's nicknamed, i'm sure it'll stay JP
Not sure if this applies to Platinum though

Hello everyone. If you are wondering when Pokemon Platinum comes out in english, I know the answer to that question. Pokemon Platinum comes out on March 22 2009.

Is the movie shaymin any different from diamond and pearl shaymin? Like, any size difference, or attacks, or is it just that you can use the glacidea flower on the movie shaymin but not on diamond and pearl shaymin? I just don't know. T.T

Um, it hasn't even been released yet. No information is really known. :[

To clarify, the Glacidea's Flower can change any Shaymin from Land Forme to Sky Forme and vice versa. However, Glacidea's Flower is only obtainable through a girl appearing in Floaroma Town, who will give it to you. The girl will not appear unless you have the Movie Shaymin. But after you have obtained the Movie Shaymin and activated the girl, you can use the Glacidea's flower on any Shaymin.

Finally, Shaymin is the last Pokémon that changes forms. Shaymin is an event Pokémon and as such, there are special circumstances towards changing its form.
In order to get the Key Item called the Glacidia Flower from this girl in Floaroma Town, you need to have the Shaymin given away at the 11th Movie in 2008. With this Shaymin, you get the Glacidia Flower. This item is a Key Item and thus does not require attachment. However, to use it, there are a number of conditions. Firstly, it has to be in the Day, meaning from Between 7am to 8pm. Second, Shaymin cannot be Frozen.
Once used, Shaymin will stay in Sky Forme and there are only two ways to make it revert back. First, you put it in a box and it will rever once you place it in. Secondly, when the time hits 8pm, Shaymin will automatically go back from Sky Forme to Land Forme making Shaymin's Sky Forme a Daytime only Pokémon

Shaymin's Forms also both have many different attributes including, stats attacks and even ability so it is best that you keep clear in your mind what form has what strengths. Below is a quick and simple rundown.





 
If the event is over, I guess you are out of luck unless, you have a action replay (or something). You would might probally want to look for the sky shaymin (which gets you shaymin) code and do the same with the action replay (if you don't have a action replay and miss the event, then I guess you are out of luck).

If it's a legit event Shaymin then I don't see why it wouldn't work to get you the glacidia flower

If you meant the 11th movie Shaymin, then I'm pretty sure it would work. Why wouldn't it?

No, the game codes count it as the 8th movie Sheimi. Don't ask why. A perfectly hacked movie Sheimi can also activate the Glacidea Flower event, but another one will not. However, I transfered a hacked Shaymin to my game and it changed to Sky Forme, so the movie Sheimi gets the item, while any Shaymin will be able to use it.

Sheimi is the japanese pronounciation for Shaymin.
