4th Gen Pocket Monsters Platinum speculation

Hey everyone!
Does anyone have any sources revealing if the storyline and adventure for Platinum will be the same as Diamond and Pearl?
I really hope not, cause I didn't like it that much..

WE HAVE NOT BEEN MISLEAD. Just because Serebii said they were new pokemon, doesn't mean they are. I talked to him just today and asked if they were some forms of Rotom. He said they probably are or maybe even Castform. THEY ARE NOT NEW POKEMON. Think people, Nintendo will not add in new pokemon when the pokedex ends at 493, it seems very stupid. They will NOT INCLUDE any other pokemon from a different region into Kanto,Jhoto, Hoenn or Sinnoh. It is the most stupidest thing I've heard. They are INDEED just forms and not new pokemon. Being a new pokemon requires a LOT, like; new identity, new pokedex number, some background info. New pokemon will not just appear spontaneously in Platinum WHEN IT IS BASED ENTIRLY ON SINNOH.

Remember before Hoenn started? Their was a battle between Charizard and Blaziken, we were like OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG look at the pokemon, it looks so cool. It was Blaziken. Remember Destiny Deoxys. Munchlax!! OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG something evolves into Snorlax. New pokemon make some kind of indications.

I believe that instead of finding Rotom in Just T.V. Different forms of Rotom can be found in different electronic devices. The normal Rotom can be found in a T.V while one can be found in a Camera or computer PC...you name it.

Anyway... I doubt Volkner will be the Champion.... Since Electric-type (Trainer)is for weak for me to become a Champion... Unless they're going to add Electivire!*v*

Well I assume if the Champion is an Electric trainer, they would not only have electric moves...
That would be kinda silly... In fact, they might not even have all their Pokemon as the Electric type..

Note that Volkner isn't entirely electric, he's dealt with water too. He's also been tempted to challenge the Elite Four, and confident he'd win because it'd finally provide a challenge. Not to mention if he were to become the Sinnoh Champion, I'm sure he'd have a revamped team, and it wouldn't be entirely electric.

It's gonna be a whole lot more complex. It deals with a Special Police Force hunting down Team Galactic (Death Note Reference?), For some reason, snow is scattered throughout the region, and Giratina's role with both Dialga and Palkia.

Here's a question, why will the silhouettes be revealed on Sept. 28, 2008 when Platinum will be released Sept. 13, 2008? People would already be well done with Platinum by the time the silhouettes are revealed unless the identity of the silhouettes aren't in Platinum. I know this sounds dumb but since it is possible, a Gen. 5 sneak peak.

To answer a possible question I expect: But Torn World is in the background, doesn't that mean they have to be in Platinum?
I would suppose so. But you have to remember that the leaflet is given away for the pre-order of Platinum. So they would have to use some image for the background.

No acually the items for them will be given out so yeah each item that comes out or something like that unlocks em. Im hoping for wifi mystery gift or something like that. Or even time based events.Ok filb.de is my friend. Here is the big version of the silluettes. They are real.

So are you saying items are required to obtain these Pokemon in Platinum? It does sound accurate. Filb.de says "In the blue circle will also be noted that these Pokémon not in the normal course there are." (Yes I know, crappy Google translator). Which sounds like they cannot be obtained in the normal course of the game.

hmm... conflict in advertising...
the background reveals the sinnoh background, but the five silohettes, unless they're just new formes, would have to go in the 5th generation, if they have it.

I believe that those three silhouettes that have a horn on top of them would all be Rotom´s new forms as they have almost similar horn as Rotom does and now I mean those blue, red and purple coloured ones. The yellow one reminds a bit of Castform and I believe that it another form of it but the green one confuses me as it looks and reminds so much a camera or something like that but something in me just wants to believe that it would be from 5th generation. :D It is possible that they are from 5th generation but to me it sounds just way too silly as they haven´t introduced earlier new pokémons in new games they´ve made up but everything is basicly possible as we are talking about Nintendo now... xD

I am doubtful that they are new pokemon, and more certain that they are new forms, however we can't rule out that they are new.

As Platinum is a new game they could expand the pokedex for these new 5 and claim that they were only dicsovered when the Torn World was discovered.

Though we haven't got enough timeline info on Platinum to say, if it was set considerably in the future this could be possible. Maybe it would be worth keeping an eye on the anime, I havent been watching and have no idea whats going on in the Sinnoh arc, but maybe towards the end they may appear in the show.

No, it's the two year anniversary of D/P. The Next Event Will be American Shaymin, then Regigigas, then jap arceus, then worldwide darkrai, then american arceus, then worldwide shaymin, then worldwide arceus.

That's what I mean. It will have to be Wi-Fi because there would only be two purposes. The Events and maybe even a WiFi cherish ball download.

I wouldn't know that, but I also "put 2 and 2 together" ;) And found out that Japan doesn't even know about catching Darkrai (well, it hasn't been announced). And that would lead to the WiFi option. I don't think they would just input random data, since that costs money. It's gonna kinda be like PMD2 IMO.
