It could be for effect, like how in the Rise of Darkrai, Dialga and Palkia's gems were glowing before using Roar of Time or Spacial Rend

It could. I don't know if Giratina will be summoned with the red chain in Platinum or if you have to go find him so that he can stop Dialga and Palkia (like in Emerald, with different trio).

So the rocks on the ground are in the patterns on Regice and Registeel's faces...

Pretty sure that means that they're obtainable in this one.

Yes, it would, but as far as I know that has not been confirmed to be true.

Is it even possible to code it so that you need a pokemon from a specific event to unlock them? o.o That seems a bit silly.


Anyway, I wonder if Arceus will be in the same place he is in D/P, or if there'll be a different way of obtaining him.

Game Crew #1: "We'll make it convenient for people to get Regigigas; since it activates when all the Regis from Generation III are in the party, we'll make them obtainable in Platinum."

Game Crew #2: "Wait! Let's make it so they have to get the 11th Movie Regigigas, before they can obtain them!"

Game Crew #1: "But..."

Game Crew #3: "Perfect! Its settled, then!"


This is pretty much how I think most of Nintendo's meetings are like, concerning Pokemon games. Completely defy the point in going for Regigigas, when you've got it, already. The only Pokemon I've managed to get without GTS/Trade help is Jirachi, from the European Version of Channel.
