I did look up the passwords earlier and have gotten all of the pokémon from them, so I've pretty much cleared out the first five areas now. One complaint I do have with Pokémon Picross though is that the Alt World is kinda pointless, you can't get any new pokémon there and completing the challenges doesn't get you anything.

That's true, I guess it just artificially prolongs the gameplay. I've only just unlocked it actually cuz I just didn't understand it at first! I probably won't play it again until I've finished everything else though.

In Shuffle news, I finally just caught Thunderus, phew!
 
I had to buy some picrite. You can't really enjoy the game if you don't spend some money...

I don't really understand the mode with the ... you know, when you return in the area 0, you have more to do but with less numbers, well like a big number for two row... I can't really explain that hehe, but you know what I mean, I hope XD

I posted this before, but as someone who loved Picross back in the day and even during the Gen 1 era Jupiter Corporation wanted to make a Pokemon Picross game but it was cancelled, I'm definitely gonna get it once I get my 3DS.

Teehee, the Alt World? Took me a while to figure it out too! I think it's one where just trial and error helps more than the tutorial!

Which phone do you play Shuffle on? I have it on iOS and think it looks and plays great, but decided not to keep up with it as it got too much trying to keep both on the go!

Are you getting a 3DS for Christmas?

I've done a bit of research and am going to edit the GT event to include mobile! ^^

Huh, well they've made it tricksy to do challenges for Picross as with a strong enough Freeze Time ability you can get a time of 0 seconds even on the big grids!

Edit: Yes! Got Heracross and Mega Heracross!

Yep, Mewtwo is mine! Pretty neat as I hadn't been able to catch it yet! 5 million mobile downloads so far! Think I'll log into my iOS game as apparently you get it for free without even having to clear the stage!

That Regigigas is a beast alright!
 
I didn't tried to beat Regigigas really, now that I have Mewtwo I am so close to beat Medicham!

God this was a tough set !!

Oh my days will I not be sad to see the back of Albens Town! I've been stuck on Gardevoir for ages too! Every time I think I have enough coins saved up to give it another go a new special stage gets released and gobbles them up! I'm sure you know what I mean! Still, almost Meowth time again!
 
Yeah I picked up Mewtwo today for free on the mobile app, currently on the second Mega boss, loving it so far, great concept of a puzzle Pok?mon game.

2015 has been a great year for new games and revisiting old ones also, hopefully 2016 will see the trend continue and give us more to play and chat about!

What have been your highlights of the year and do you have a wish list for games you'd like to see released in the coming 12 months?
 
Highlight of the year? That will be getting Pokemon Shuffle Mobile for my iOS on Day One of release, making it my first ever Gen 6 game before I got a 3DS, lol. (Unless you count the Trading Card one)

Anyway, I'm carefully planning for my strategy to catch Arceus for Pokemon Shuffle Mobile, which I calculated it will take 20,300 coins for me to do so (Disruption Delay, Attack Power Up, Mega Start, 3 Great Balls, 800 coins to enter), and I'm grinding coins via the main Meowth stage (Currently at 16,000+ in 2 days which is surprising since I don't really get the 5 coin combo much), and even after I get the coins required I need to grind my fighting team to be at least Level 5 (since two of my highest Attacking Powered Fighting Pokemon which are Machamp and Conkeldurr are really low-levelled). I also got 10 more days too which give me plenty of time to get Arceus even if my plan fails.

I'm also playing my 3DS Pokemon Shuffle too even though it would be hard for me to keep up at this point, but my plan is to beat the main stages (up to Jungle Verde) and catch all the Pokemon up to there, and I pretty much got the concept of maximizing my efficiency in Jewel and Coin Usage via not using Great Balls for main stages and save them for Special Stages (Right now I had 6 Jewels and 10,000+ coins, and I haven't even paid real money for them). I'm also skipping the Special Stages except for the Mewtwo giveaway and the Victini/Meowth Weekends until I beat the main stages which I wanted.

Also, Pokemon Picross was great, but my main problem is the notorious paywall for it. But it should be thankfully over for a while since I'm 10 Picrites away from unlocking Area 7 (Skipping Area 6 due to me following the recommended path) thanks to the Daily Picross Training. And nope, I'm not spending real life money on Picrites either, and right now there's really nothing else to progress for me since I've already beaten all the challenges and stages which I can possibly do with the team I got.

I've not been able to play too much recently :( but have finally made it through the dreaded Albens Town in Shuffle! ^^ Picross is bittersweet as I've done it all except for some of the Alt World, though I have gone back and played my favourite stages again with my own rules set which can be fun.

I've been thinking about what I'd like to see released this year, anything would probably make me happy, but a couple of things I'd really love would be Pokemon themed Hanafuda or Poker, perfect for 3DS and could even have multiplayer!

Not entirely puzzly but a Pokemon Party game could be fun with puzzles or fun fair type mini games!

And what would you think of an RPG or adventure type puzzle game? Embernight put the idea in my head a whiles back and I can't shake it. Something to really get your teeth into, like a Professor Layton game!
 
Glad to see this thread getting bumped. Already caught Zekrom and now trying to beat as many main stages as I can in Mobile (the final stage so far is Stage 300 which is Mega Rayquaza) until the Kyurem Escalation event appears, which I need to grind some more coins to do so. Also, yes, I caught the aforementioned Arceus too.

Congrats on beating Albens Town! It's pretty difficult but good luck on Roseus Center, it's difficult too.

I think an RPG puzzle game would do nicely, but so far I can't think of any decent ideas haha.

Yep, Roseus Centre is proving to be just as much a pain in the bum!

Just in case anyone missed it, there is currently a code out to obtain 3000 coins in both 3DS and mobile, seems to be for any region but not sure if or when it expires. It's: 20160123

Just entered it. It works for me, so it's most likely all reigons. ^^

Unfortunately, I have zero progress to report on Shuffle or Picross... It really doesn't help that new awesome games are always being released left and right. Speaking of which, has anyone else heard of the new Detective Pikachu game? It looks very interesting, and who knows? We might have some Professor Layton styled puzzles on our hands!

That Detective Pikachu game does seem intriguing, I'd definitely play it if it was released here. It does have a Laytonish feel to it, perhaps Phoenix Wrighty too!

I'm still loving Picross too, even redoing puzzles is enjoyable. Some DLC would awesome though - more Pokemon or 3D or colour cross or link a pix!!


Can you believe Pokemon Shuffle has been out for a whole year now!
