Why do people always make this assumption that they'll replace Ash at the beginning of each series? His friends leaving would make sense, but the series has always revolved around his adventure. The others are just along because they're heading in the same general direction.

Except for Brock. He could theoretically become a breeder anywhere, but he was a popular character, so they brought him back. And then they butchered him...

Iris is going to be awesome, I can sense it.

Also, why is everyone complaining? If anyone read the Bionicle story, you'd see that at the start, there were loads of different personalities, and they were EXTREME. By the end, they were so faded, Tahu wasn't a hothead, Kopaka was more social, Gali... Uh... Stayed the same, but she didn't have that attitude. When people grow up, they mature, and their personality traits fade slightly.
 
Well, if the trailer does indeed confirm that Ash is in BW (as in, he is seen interacting with the BW cast in some way), then I don't have any reason to doubt it anymore.

Seriously, though, it's not like they couldn't just leave an Ash appearance in the trailer for about a second, a small amount of time, and then keep the rest of the trailer focused on the new characters. I mean, by even allowing for him to appear for a second, it allows the new characters to get the focus that they deserve for pre-releases, and yet it confirms to everybody that Ash will be in BW. If they did that, then no one will even HAVE to question whether he is in BW.

And honestly, if new kids were to come in and Ash was removed, I doubt they'd even care. If they didn't even care if Misty, May, Max, Tracy, and Dawn were removed, why should they care if Ash is removed. As far as the new kids are concerned, he's just another character, and probably doesn't even exist, even IF he was the star of the anime. I mean, if Pokemon Special can remove even Red without any consequence, they can do the exact same with Ash. It's that simple, really.

Well, Ash is going to stay. I just hope that THIS time, they actually DEFINE the Pokemon Master goal absolutely.

My first reaction directly after looking at the middle picture: ...What the **** is with his eyes?? He looks like he's high or something. I realise that they've updated his look to go with the other characters, but...this is going to take some getting used to o.o His outfit is great though.

Since Ash's eyes have been "updated", I wonder what Team Rocket and the rest of the old cast are going to look like.

Okay so ive reviewed all of the promotional pictures, it looks like Ash will be catching mamepato (if thats how you spell it) and a mijumaru! He meets Iris in the woods where he sees her hair and thinks its a new pokemon so throws a pokeball at her (hence my sig XD) Apparently Dento is a fan of Ash? From pure opinion I think Iris is capture Pokebu and Dento will have Tsutaja (since its a grass type and it looks like hes a grass type gym leader!) oh we will also be seeing more of Ash with his cap backwords XD

Is it just me or has Ash gotten a tan? XD

But wow, in the anime, ALL of the Generation 5 Pokemon are adorable <33333 I love Generation 5 so much omg.

Actually, I like Ash's eyes compared to Dento's, they just... look weird. Ash at least matches Iris's eyes. lol iris and eyes

From what I saw in the trailer posted by Mew~, I dont really like Ash's new cap. :P And yeah, Dento is a fan of Ash or what?
 
M-My word! Miyano Mamoru (宮野真守) is casted to voice Dento?! Oh god am I pumped for Best Wishes now... ;3;

I guess that the moves animation have changed too, along with Satoshi's eyes (I will get used to it later, but this is just plain weird), seeing Volt Tackle and Iron Tail and all those other moves... Is that what people call CG?

DAYUM DAMN SATOSHI. YOU DO NOT COPY ME AND GET A MIJUMARU. ;A; It was ME first this time too... -weeps-

I'm not a fan of Ash's new outfit. Looks like a running suit more than a jacket.
 
I freakin love his new clothes, they look epic on him. And yes, Dento seems to be a fan of him, some thing tells me that's why Dento decides to travel with Ash LOL. It'd be funny if Dento kept fan boying him, being all "Oh my gosh, look at those awesome poses he does" HAHA I can't wait. And some thing also tells me that look Ash makes is after he sees Iris is not a Pokemon LOL and I have a feeling hey'll start laughing after seeing her hairXD Wonder if Ash and Iris will travel alone for three episodes? Hope so.
 
Does anyone have a color picture of Ash's new look in this series? I have seen the drawing and some other shots, but I'd like to see a full head-to-toe picture, if anyone has one.
 
I really don't mind the "eye" change for Ash. The preview at the end of the episode and the clips on the website did show that he was throwing pokeball's left and right, lol. Mamepato seems like a given but it seems he was trying to capture a Shikijika as well, which I wouldn't mind if he caught. It does look like it'll be a lot more comedic. I'm excited to see how this series will shape out.
