5th Gen Pokémon Black and White - Seasons

I time travel all the time in Animal Crossing and in PKMN:SS so if pokemon were exclusive to different seasons (which I actually doubt a bit) It wouldn't be a problem.
Sorry, but you can't actually know that for sure. In DPPt if the time in-game was different to the DS' internal clock, you'd have to wait a day to be able to migrate. I assume it'sd the same for HGSS. I'd imagine they'd do something like that for transferring Pokemon, if you were to change the clock. Though you're right, that wouldn't affect the season-exclusive Pokemon (if they were to be implemented into the game).

Well, actually, no. You're wrong. The game time is set by the DS Clock, so it can't be different. It detects if it has been changed, and it won't let you migrate again until Midnight has passed and a new day starts. So, if, for instance, you wanted to time travel in DP to Friday for Drifloon, all you need to do is set it to 11:59 PM on Thursday.

As for the topic, real time seasons would be awesome. I can't see completely different Pokemon for each season, but maybe one or two in each area being exclusive to the season. It'd be cool to see season based evolutions.

...I wish people would stop whining that seasons would be too long to wait for a certain Pokemon. I always hated the fact that the games seemed to be stuck in Spring/Summer. It felt unnatural.

If the seasons change depending on the actual date, then I'd rather it only affect the availability of certain Pokémon - Pokémon who usually frolic in grass will instead be found in trees, and some Pokémon would become a little less common due to the condition. Though to be honest, it'd be pretty interesting to see what winter would look like in certain areas. Frozen lakes, anyone?

And then you could do Ice fishing! lol

But honestly, if they make a Pokémon unavailable at a certain season, it'd get annoying. It's already annoying needing to wait for a certain Pokémon that only appears at night.

True.

Changing the DS time is not a good idea, after all.

Uhhh ... Why not?

funny this is something that i exactly wanted in the game.

These seasons are going to look really awesome. I love the effects of each and every one and I can't wait to see how it looks in a snowy town/city.
This is definitely going to be another reason to buy the games for me. I love the way the leaves flow as the person walks through the place, which gives me all the more reason to love how this game is going so far. I can't wait to see what else Nintendo has in store for us.

As mentioned before, I strongly support seasonal swarms or relocation of Pokemon based on the season (finding Teddiursa, for example, in caves during the winter rather than woods during the rest of the year.) Season exclusive Pokemon would take far too long to acquire, and would disappoint fans of said Pokemon who may have to wait as many as 9 months to obtain them.

Omg, I'd love it if you could only find certain Pokemon and Berries at certain times of the year, that would really make for long time play and a system reminiscent of Animal Crossing. I would love to be out in the forest in the winter, covered in snow and encountering Teddiursa, Snover, Stantler & the new cute deer, and any other winter themed Pokemon.

I really like the seasons idea, and the real time seasons would be cool, its just that I don't think I could wait 3 months for the new season. I think it sould be a little quiker... like maybe even just 1 month. That would give us each season 4 times a year. Although, since seasons might only apply to certain areas it might be just weekly. But I hope it applies to most of Isshu and stays for at least a little while. :D

I think only that we could have some pokemon that are typically rare become more common during a certain season...for example some pokemon mate in the spring so we will see more of those pokemon...

The only thing I can think of is birds... so we'll have lots and lots of birds? Lovely. I'm sure there are others but besides insects and birds-- (or am I completely forgetting how nature works?) idk I'd be glad to see lots of birds at least I guess.

USELESS. I can't believe everyone is getting so excited over this, it will most likely have little more than novelty purposes.

But then again, people did get excited over pokemon following you in HG/SS >>

Seasons are definitely a good thing. I remember when designing a Pokémon game about eight or nine years ago (on paper of course) I always wanted to put seasons into it and have ice Pokémon more available in winter and all that. I'm glad they're finally doing it. Oh, and in regards to how long each should be, it depends on whether Pokémon are available in each season. Like if it's only aesthetic changes with seasons I'm happy for them to be as long as our real seasons, however if certain seasons have certain Pokémon I think it'd be more suitable to have the season change every week or fortnight.

I suggest, as similar to others have said, that all pokemon are available in specific places all year round, but the changing seasons would bring changes in swarms and general pokemon appearance. I mean, does it really make sense for a wailmer to be found around a now-frozen lake :/?
I would appreciate different forms/pokemon only being available at specific times, yeah it would irritate the hell out of you, but it builds patience. I know some people who rip through the game without taking time to enjoy it :). I prefer to just take it easy. For example, ice types would be more common in winter, and grass types in spring and summer. And in summer cherrim could be in it's sunny day form permanently.

Id imagine spring would have more water types because of how often it rains.

seasons = EPIC WIN!

i love it XD

season exclusive pokemon?
whos the hell would think of something so idiotic?
if nintendo did that,no one would buy it
why? cuz 99% of gamers hate to wait, and yall know you do too

would you really sit there, after waiting these last few months, get your hands on B&W, start playing through it& see your favorite/the strongest/most wanted gen5 pokemon you have to wait another 8months to caught, youd go oh ok ill just save, turn off& wait...
hell no! youd go ballistic, so would i& anyone else here whos excited bout the next generation
