Totoro is a movie.

Ah... sorry. Pokémon Adventures is the American translation. Pokémon Special is the name of the original Japanese (and many other countries) manga. It's the same, in other words. Blue is the girl in Kanto (playable in FIreRed and LeafGreen but she appears in the earliest chapter of PokéSpec), Berlitz is Dawn's counterpart in the manga (also based on the female player in the game, in other words) and Sapphire is the person based on R/S/E's "May" in the manga.

Hey, Oni's serious! He's leaving!?!?!

Oni, have you gotten back onto pe2k?

At what chapter are these characters introduced?
I'm currently following the adventures of Red (ash?) and the story is really the same of the anime.

Yeah, the first chapter is called the Kanto saga (or the Red/Blue/Green saga) and that's pretty much a novelization (mangalization? ^^) of the games.
If you're reading Pokémon "Adventures" I don't really know if those volumes are the same as the "Special" ones <--

But the Yellow saga starts in Vol 7, and that doesn't follow the games at all. The Yellow game is an adaption to the anime of the Red/blue games but the Yellow PokéSpec is a whole new story. It has a goal, in opposite of the rather silly R/B/G saga, the character Yellow is a really annoying one, and it is starring the elite4 as the über-evil gang. TR is the evil ones in R/B/G saga, but some TR-members go.... kinda to the good side in Y saga.
Mwahaha.

I read the first manga on pokemon with red and bulbasuar, though I quickly fell behind :( and havnt really read any pokemo manga
I'd like to follow that, but i think im too far behind xD

Uber evil gang sounds cool though

There's no way to be far behind. You've just got to read it until you catch up... though, it helps to know korean or chinese. Since most scans are on those languages xP and the real books aren't available where I live. The latest volumes haven't been translated into english, also.
But the Kanto, Yellow, Johto sagas can be found in the manga forum here on PC. Not the Hoenn saga, perhaps. Hoenn saga seems wonderful, SapphireXRuby ftw...
Then there's the FireRed/LeafGreen saga, and the Emerald saga, and then the D/P saga, but I don't know much about it.

Well I guess that's true...

But with so many chapters and sagas and what not, it would be quite a long time...
I guess I could get a translater generater for other language scans, that'd be hard though...

Only other language I know is french :/

Hm, yeah I guess French isn't the ultimate language to know in this case ^^

Mais, ces't un bon langue pour bavarder, non? :P (non, je ne suis très bien du tout, mais je comprends un peeeeuuuu)

Yeah I like to use it too, you do seem a "whole" to me, how many languages do you know? O.o

On topic, I believe pokemon manga really never is in french...has anyone read french pokemon manga?

I believe there is a french manga... I've seen it somewhere... yes! I know. I have a french version of the Pokémon Ranger manga on my computer actually! So I could read it somewhat properly...

No, I don't speak many languages, Beachy. I had to rely on other people's summaries to understand what was going on in the Hoenn manga.
I speak Swedish, English, a littlelittle French and I can say my name, goodnight and my phone number in Japanese xD

Only english and french for me :P cool french manga!

Im thinking ill download some pokemon manga and catch up, then I won't be lost in those conversations and I could actually respond :D
Sometimes I just get completely lost in Pokemon manga discussion... :P
If someone hasnt read it they cant follow...

Ill still always remember the first one I read with that bulba in the pokeball that is visible

Oh, that's adorable... that Bulbasaur in the ball. That is an interesting difference between games/anime and this manga. The balls there are transparent and instead of getting beamed out and in, they just enlarge and pops out, and now it makes sense that they can be aware of their environment while inside the balls. In the anime, they seem to be able to do that too, but it makes no sense, since the balls aren't transparent at all.... :S

I know what you mean. I started reading NAruto manga, and joined that fc here. But I'm lost. They only talk about the latest Shippuden episodes, in spoilers, and I don't get a word.

lol :D
Yeah, I like it transparent way better then some RED LAZER3! :P

seeing it so small, and actually what it looks like inside, is what I like about it... :D

I love them being able to talk to the Pokemon in the Pokeballs when they are so little.

Oh.. it was so cool how Red's pokes would look at him from their pokes.
But other than that, it was very similar to the anime, so I got bored of it..
Is it ok to jump to VOL7 or would I miss some things?

Ryan, moi aussi je parle Francais :P

Je vous vois parler le français! J'aime le français!

I thought it was great to see little bulbasuar, and the way they do the pokemon manga just makes me like it :D

Why don't they "officially" translate the anime to English and release them in the US?
I mean, the translations on PC are fanmade right?

Ryan, if you want, I can make you a new signature, lol I'm really bored and I've got nothing to do XD

Probably because the lazy people in Nintendo are too lazy :|

I don't think they are lazy, probably because it's not as popular in the US.
When there is no $, what's the use, you know..

Yeah Pokemon and Nintendo are in no way lazy, they work so hard to get the $_$ and fun for all of us...

They satisfy the need of the consumer, and that's also why there will be a G/S/C remake in the future :D
