Hm... I was certain Pikachu changed his voice, or at least the way he sounded when he was about to attack. :S

Not many pokémon keep their names, do they? Not exactly at least. Makuhita and Hari(te)yama keeps them somewhat. I don't know many else ^^
 
Some legendaries keep their names, like Dialga, Palkia and Darkrai.
Celebi is Serebii in Japanese, I dunno if that counts.
Pikachu, of course.

I think Jirachi also has the same name, right?

I missed my bus....... so now I'm waiting for a ride to school instead. Mom hasn't realized I'm still in the house though. She'll probably take my internet connection away when she finds out!

Serebii changed its named because it's pronounced ce-le-bi in japanese. They don't differ between R and L mind you :)
 
But isn't Serebii way cooler than "Celebi" ?
I just prefer the S instead of the C.. I think it's more mysterious...

Me? uhh, my first semester in uni has ended, so I'm on a break 'till the 18th, so ya I'll be haunting PC untill then XD

I think Serebii is better too, but the translators probably want it to sound more.... english.
 
I think the stupidest english name is [SIZE=-1]Lickilicky... Can't they come up with something more creative? That's just plain dum!

Na.. I don't really care about the postcount, although I do kid everyone about it, especially Beachy XD

No. They all change. None have kept their Japanese name.
 
Yeah, some do keep their original Japanese name. =O
Pikachu, Raichu, Pichu, the Nido family, Manki (ey), Ponyta, and many many others... although they are writen in Romanji and so do not have "correct english spelling". ^^"

It's funny that Moltres', Zapdos' and Articuno's names are Fire, Thunder and Freezer. XD

Of course they are spelled differently, but they have the same pronunciation..

There's this one OVA/OAV (I can't keep them appart) that's called Hiroshi to Fire (Ritchie and Moltres) It was quite funny when I first heard that.

No? You haven't? You should watch some of the OVA's of Pokemon when you're tired of looking at Ash xD Raikou Legend of Thunder is also one of the OVA's. There are many more that I still have to see, but I wanna see them. There are quite a few with Ritchie...

Probably I think... As long as Nintendo thinks Pokemon is still fine, I doubt they'll stop.

Anyway, I've seen about half of the Chronicles episodes, but I didn't see the one with Moltres. Richie had an encounter with Celebi, that's the only episode with Richie I have seen.

Legend of thunder, I only saw part one. :( But I loved it.

The problem with these episodes are I can't find them anywhere online, well except for MEGAUPLOAD sites which don't work because of my slow connection :(

Yes. New Pokemon + New Region = New game + money.

+ No Gold and Silver remakes.
 
Why can't they make a new game with a better storyline, focus a bit more on the graphics, and not on the new pokemon for a change?

Honestly I believe the remake will come befor...

It's taken at least 2 years between each series of versions, took what 4 for DP? then if the patern continues the same way as the past, it will be 5 for 5. :\
Don't you think they'll make a remake in that time... I sure do.

The storylines do need a revamp, I think they're running out of options with that story line so they may in fact change it *shrugs* who knows.

But ya, a remake is in order, I'd say probably by the end of the year or at the begining of 2009..

If Nintendo listens a teeny tiny bit at all to their fans, they should know that the best way to keep going is to release some kind of Wii/DS Johto remake. But we've had this discussion before.... haven't we? In this trhead even? :D lol, we're not running out of topics, are we?
 
lol this was supposed to be about the possibility of a new generation but I guess we drifted away from the subject again XD
