FireRed hack: Pokémon: Fire Red Extended Version

I absolutely love this Rom Hack, I've put in like 122 hours into it. The graphical improvements are great and the world feels much more lived in than the vanilla game! I really appreciate the sign postings about what pokemon are available in areas as it gives me a great goal to grind towards if I am looking for a specific mon, so much so that I've just been catching every single thing in each area. The shiny rate is appreciated also!

I wish that HM slaves were not a thing. There are times where it is required where you need both a strong team and to also make room for an HM Slave (a problem with the main game also). Most notably is the travel to the E4, needing to have a pokemon that can both get you through Victory road and then fight "who you need to fight" before getting in to the Elite 4 pokemon center to mark a checkpoint is chafing me mentally as I have failed that fight and the respawn is obviously your last pokemon center. I honestly don't mind having to walk back all the way through Victory road. The problem is having to redo all the puzzles each time you walk back through. You either need to bring an HM slave or waste a move on your existing team for an HM. Personally, I love all the exploration you get to do in this game, You've managed to make kanto feel both familiar and new at the same time. The feeling of getting another HM to be usable in the overworld is so nice and rewarding but at the same time the bloat generated by needing to have all of those moves always at your disposal is overwhelming and counterintuitive to good team constitution. This is the first time in a while where I have had no inclination to "cheat" in a pokemon game. While I am apprehensive about having to do 18 fights for the E4 and I fully expect to be frustrated with the resource management from running out of PP ( for instance if each trainer has at least 5 pokemon, even IF you one shot them all it's at least 90 moves of PP you'll need) and the trainers healing 7,000 times per fight I still look forward to the challenge which I think is a testament to how engrossing the hard work you've pulled off here is.

I think that this will ultimately be THE rom hack I persuade people to play right alongside pokemon unbound, prism and Crystal clear. I really look forward to where this hack will go in the future as it feels mostly feature complete as it is, congrats on the hard work and I will spread the word.

Ooooh, thanks for your feedback! I'm so happy to read your message!
I'm adjusting some features. Stay tuned for future updates.
For example, the Pocket Tutor (An item available on the Safari Zone) is the next focus in the 3.5.3 release. 👀
The Pocket Tutor will teach signature moves to starter pokémon (Including custom moves for each Pokémon that don't have signmoves), and the player doesn't need to use more HM Slaves. 😁

The game looks gorgeous, but has some flaws. I've made it to Vermilion City, and here's what you need to fix:
-the level scaling. Either provide free Rare Candies or reduce some of the scaling. The trainers on the ship and around Vermilion are barely in their 20's while the rival has level 35 Pokemons.
-Remove the potions from random trainers. This doesn't add difficulty, it's just tedious to beat them.
-This is rather minor, but wild Pokemons having Trainer soundtrack is very annoying to be honest, breaks all immersion.
I hope to see these updates, as they will really polish this otherwise great game.

Report two bugs:
Back from EV-IV Checker will crash. Latest mGBA (Disabled VBA bug compatibility).
Move Tutor guy in Vermilion City can't teach, press A just end dialog.

I have found that you can FLY to indigo plateau to avoid going through victory road again.

The fight there is HARD hahaha, The pokemon league is brutal especially with the trainers having multiple healing items per pokemon, I can get through trainer one (with save states) and then get brutalized by houndour no matter what. I get out speeded by houndour even with quick claw held by my lucario and even if I switch to a pokemon with a status move it does not go first. I have a feeling this is going to be a looooooooong climb.

How do you mean with "fly to indigo plateau to avoid victory road"?
I set a anti-cheat barrier against anyone who skips the Victory Road.

It was something you must have set up. I got to where prof Oak fight is and lost but I found out that it must flag a checkpoint there. I was able to use fly to get to the fight before the pokemon center and by using almost 30 save states I was able to get through the fight. I'm definitely not going to be able to beat the pokemon league so I might just explore the game more as I've already put in 211 hours.

Ah, no problem.
The player can fly through.
If the player reaches a place, the checkpoint is unlocked. No matter If you enter in the pokecenter or not.

Hello! Loving this rom hack! I am having an issue however as I try to enter Vermillion city. As I cross the bridge, the game freezes. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, and I have the latest version as well. Any help would be great!

Thanks!

Follow the emulator list recommended at the beginning of the game.

Hi, do I need to be playing the bug fixed release to be able to find paldean wooper? I'm on 3.5.2 and on route 5 I don't know if I'm looking in the correct place or I'm on the wrong version as I can't seem to find ..

Will there be any future support for Delta on iOS?
I don't think so...
I'm creating a rework in a different rom, let's cheer if Delta doesn't freeze when the player reaches Vermilion City.

You looking at the wrong place.

Where exactly is the right place? Will it be shown on those signs? Soon as I entered route 05 I went left in the dessert like area and to that patch of grass

Hi there, Im currently enjoying so much your hack that Im putting hours in to it. Now I have 7 badges and I have a few questions:

- Certain legendaries locations are avaliable only post game? Like in route 14, next to the cyclists after using surf
- Do you have plans to implement a Dexnav mechanic to your game? I have an urge to encounter every single pokemon in those room hacks that have 1 to 9 pokemons generations... aand because I can't find Wimpod :(
- Many houses are blocked, have plans to add a use to them in the next update or are just decoration houses?

Shiny rates the same as default? If not, can you put an option in settings to set the shiny rates to the vanilla.
