Yo I'm so ready for Pokemon Rocket v 3.1& up cause I always wondered what being the villian would be like as I always hoped Nintendo would have committed. But like it is, it's more focused on Mario games for the switch and what they can mash it up with. I have found a weird Sprite in the game of cerlerian city as you go into the corner or where the trees are by the gym there's a team rocket grunt stuck in the trees. I tried to see if it was a mini game to save em, but it's a grunt Sprite fused with a tree. I tried resetting the game as well as lost my old progress,(not like I can't remember do it) and check out this. It never changed. Even when I became admin and executive of the rocket gang. It can use a bit moreout of battle Pokemon use it's unique moves in the environment of the game. Plus I as a thief in the game should be able to steal the Pokemon in mid battle with out the trainer bumping my poke'balls as I attempt to steal their pokemon

you can sell the stuff you find in Mt. Moon to buy a stone in the Department store before you fight Red, I'm not sure there's a way to get Espeon or Umbreon though.

that's why I said before Mt. Moon, not after, you can get eevee at the start of the game, and you can sell moonstones and rare candies from inside Mt. Moon, just go out again and sell them. Otherwise than that, just be friendly to eevee and it will evolve to espeon or umbreon.

Just thought i'd say, so far this is the most entertaining and compelling Pokemon hack I have ever played. It tells a story perfectly of what goes on behind the scenes in the real Fire Red game. I love this Rom Hack and I don't want you to change a thing, I am looking forward to Beta 4 and beyond. Keep up the great work!

Sorry, could you make an option to recover the Mew that you find under the truck if you don't catch it? That was a real surprise and it totally made the game worth playing, assuming the Mew was actually a pokemon that could be caught. Now I feel like resetting my copy of the whole game just to get back to that truck. Now, that was a very pleasant surprise! Team Rocket with Mew...so cute!

I didn't know there were espeon and umbreon evolutions in this game. Okay, I need to reset it now. Mew and Espeon? This is a NICE hack! Does anyone know how to get the fishing rods? I think I probably completed the quests wrong, because I only got rare candies and Mystic Water.

Beating Red on Mt. Moon is difficult. I played it through a second time, and Red still beat me. I managed to finish the whole game without stealing any pokemon, though, except for the one the game obligates us to steal at the beginning to advance the story. I also got Eevee. I didn't know Eevee evolved into anything on its own, though, so I bought a thunder stone. I also got the fake ID in Fuscha City for gym battles and beat Sabrina and Lt. Surge. Later, I surfed to the old truck and found Mew after my character became a Team Rocket executive and was changed into the white uniform. I didn't catch it, though! After doing all of that and finishing the game in under a week, I think I can safely say that is the most fun I've ever had playing a pokemon game! You included all of the fun stuff that the games leave out--a chance to catch Mew, fun cheats--like being able to pose as a Safari Zone employee and catch all of the rare pokemon there without a time limit, and an interesting story line!

Also, I like that they don't stop selling to you if you don't rack up bounties. You can even get prizes from the policemen in each city. Cool game! I think being able to steal pokemon for your team makes the game too easy, anyway. The player should have to catch his or her own pokemon and stolen pokemon should immediately go to headquarters in exchange for pokemoney.

Suggestions:

Include a battle with Jessie and James--those bumbling Team Rocket agents we all know and love from the anime. You could also include a cameo of Butch and Cassidy.
Make Ash, Red, Blue, and Gary appear in the game as trainers you have to face and beat.
Make Mew a catchable pokemon that appears many times in the game in secret locations, like old pokemon labs, caves, and forests.
Include a conversation with a MIssingNo sprite (fourth wall break) and a quest that if completed will take the player to "Glitch City" where they can catch all of the rare pokemon in the game.
Include a way to get a fishing rod that allows us to catch rare water pokemon.
Throw in some of the newer pokemon, not just the first generation stuff.
Allow the sprite to wear real disguises

Just wanted to say that I spent some time and played the latest beta, and I have had an excellent time. You've really taken Ckret2's vision and done something with it... and that makes me really happy.

Keep it up man, this next beta your preparing will be amazing, I just know it.

I was running around tying up loose ends in the beta 3 release when I was facing an NPC with a Tentacool and then a Shellder with my Poliwrath, I used Circle Throw on the Tentacool and it one-shot it, the trainer sent out a Shellder and this happened...

I liked playing the game from the perspective of a Team Rocket agent, but I have a few suggestions:

• Make Mew a pokemon that reappears so that not being able to catch it the first time isn't a huge disappointment.
• Don't allow stolen pokemon to appear as playable characters in our party, or limit the opportunities we have to steal pokemon--it just makes the game too easy; one of the fun parts about playing pokemon is actually hunting for them and catching them. (or make it an option to turn "steal mode" off; it really loses its novelty after a while.)
• Also, make the available wild pokemon really low level so that the player has to use strategy to catch them without knocking them out.
• Don't allow us to shop at pokemarts or use pokemon centers at first. Make us have to barter and go on quests to get the things we need. (include a quest that grants us a fake identity later, though)
• Include more rare pokemon and more opportunities to "beat the system," like that Safari Zone scam!
• Include a cameo by Jessie and James with friendly banter from the anime that changes based on the villain status of the player.
• Include more uncatchable pokemon bosses, like a whole cage of Pikachus or something, like in the anime.
• Make MissingNo an actual character who sends us on a quest, and include some funny fourth wall breaks referencing the first generation games.
• Include a cameo of other teams from the anime--like Team Skull-- that we can beat the socks off of, steal from, and gloat over!

I like the idea of playing pokemon with the unfair disadvantage of being a criminal marginalized by society. In an odd way, it speaks of real world issues.

Never thought the day would come where I can say, "this is the best hack ever", but it did.

This is the best hack ever. Totally.

The sheer investment into the story makes me feel like one of those self-insert bad boy manga protagonists who lost once and then has a training montage into being the strongest guy in Kanto, but in a good way.

Anyways, really, really minor bugs here and there like that one guy in the Bike route that has an invisible wall above him, little out of place colors here and there on the menu (usually, two dots beside the town name), Graveler becoming Rhyhorn, and the fact that Bill says the game is unfinished (the game is too good for that).

So yeah. Good luck and more power to you genius dude you. And I hope we get the next patch soon.

In Pokemon XD: Gales of Darkness, you could evolve Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon by having it level up with high friendship while a Sun Shard(Espeon) or Moon Shard(Umbreon) is in your bag. Maybe instead of Shards, you could evolve Eevee by using a Sun Stone or Moon Stone on it with high friendship. As for Poliwhirl into Politoed and Slowpoke into Slowking, you could just level them up while they're holding a King's Rock.

Espeon evolves from 12pm to 12 am and Umbreon evolves from 12am to 12pm. Even though there are no cycles of day and night, they still evolve with maximum friendship.

This is a piece of art! wonderful subtleties here and there that makes me relive the moments when I actually played FireRed. I remember, when I played FireRed, someone in the end of the Nugget Bridge invites the player to join Team Rocket and I remember really wanting to be a Rocket grunt. Ha, good ol' days...

The quests are straight-forward and I like it! Must be some effort to maintain those scripts correctly. Best of luck to you, hope you finish this hack!

Ronnie reminds me of a real life mobster who always thought 'gangsters don't follow rules' and that philosophy is what got him killed. Team Rocket is basically the mob, Giovanni is even an Italian name. Ronnie just does whatever the hell he wants if he thinks it'll get him a promotion. I hope he gets his ass kicked during that conversation with Giovanni that you gave us a teaser for. I would absolutely love for there to be an option to choose if you should keep your loyalties with Giovanni or stand up for your 'friend.' The minute I met Ronnie I said to myself, "by the end of this, you are going to be crying, like a little bitch" totally not a TFS reference

Hi guys.
I'm a person who like to be a villan in video games and i absolutely NEED the end of this game.
I simply can't wait for it and when the moment will come, i will transfer my pokemons to the new version.
So i writted this comment to say some things to you :
First, i have some suggestions :
1) Make the mission where Bill let us on 3.0 take revenge on this Red. His team will have lvl 54 - 59 pokemons (or below if you find this too high) and if we win, policeman will come and you have to battle 2 of them. You (Devlopper of the hack) can choose their pokemon, i don't have ideas. Then Giovanni will promote you again and you will be able to get Key Items before Red! And the fun start: Bill will teleport us go on the first island and we must rob the Ruby. Then the Bill friend (who gives us tri-pass) will battle us and if we win, Red will not be able to take the Ruby and Red will come again and if we win...well Red did Game Over as you took the Ruby and he was not able to beat us...You won! Bill gives us the Master Ball to capture Mewtwo (or use hyper ball if you are a tryhard) , then we catch him and we mist return to HQ Celadon and Giovanni gives his place to us...
And the game is finished ! Rob any pokemon to anyone, even Rockets and Gym leaders and Elite Four.
Then it's "Rob Them All" !
2) Make a side quest where we can catch Mew or any other legendary pokemon.

And voilà, finally.
