This map is from a hack I am currently working on by myself.

Other Comments: The locals have adapted to the desert and live in houses drilled out of rock. The biggest structure is a department store. To the East lies a mountain, and the weird rock in the NE of the city is the tomb of the founder of Sand Town.

Additional Comments: Decent looking map in my opinion. Those three ruined entrances are supposed to be the tombs of the Regi's in a game that I'm helping a friend make, Pokemon World ENd.

Sorose Island is a small mountainous isle apart of the large Gulf of Outa which, unfortunately, is notorious for its near constant rain. Because of its location, Sorose City is almost always under a blanket of overcast or stuck in a passing rain shower, which is the cause for the numerous puddles scattered throughout town.

I gotta admit, though, both have a bit too much going on, although the former feels too cramped; there's the same massive amount of stuff going on, but in a much smaller area, meaning the playability drops.

PS. Manny, we are allowed to discuss maps now, yeah?

Though I really liked some of the maps in there, CCS's one was entered last year iirc.

I'm a little surprised that Ninja Caterpie's map didn't make it through. Though I suppose it did lack something... unique about it.
Anyways, I'm impressed with the overall quality of maps this year. There's a lot of good talent out there and though it's difficult to tell who'll come out on top, I already have my predictions set. ;)
 
I'm surprised my map didn't make it through too, but that's probably because I waited until two hours left to decide to do this...and just used a map from my hack. :|
