Really enjoyed your ROM. Overally pretty hard game but not too hard, well balanced. Giving opponents some of the supportive items and teams configuration made it more competetive and made move spamming pretty impossible in important battles.
Also EV training is not too easy, as the game includes much more pokemon in specific locations.

I feel like Blaziken made this run even easier than it should be lmao

Where can I catch hatenna. Coz I wanna trade it for riolu
According to Sloo, "It's in the Safari Zone, in the bottom right area."

At the end of this post.

Yes, you can buy ability patches and ability capsules in the Violet City supplement store, it's on the left side of town.

Sorry about that, I'll update the spreadsheet. You do need hisuian sneasel, and you can find them in the phoenix hideout at the Rage Resort.
Hey Sloo, how do you evolve Sneasel into Sneasler? I have given it Razor Claw and leveled it like 30 times.

Question how do you evolve quilava to husian typholsion also the infinite money cheat deletes the tms and berries why does that happen
It's recommendefd that you don't play ROM hacks with cheats, because it can results in the game behaving weird because of changed data variables.

This was about to become my favourite Romhack until I got to The Challenge. It's so tedious and the combination of Whitney being so ridiculously OP and not being able to heal your Pokemon if you get a question wrong makes it very unfair. Not to mention having to do the whole thing over again if you fail, meaning having to wait for every little animation and dialogue and etc all over again.

Story-wise, it also ruins the impression you built of Whitney having become a tough trainer over the years. It instead looks like she's only on her winning streak because all her challengers are worn down by the time they get to her and now she has an inflated and kind of undeserved ego over it. Of course you're winning all the time when you make your gym challengers play a game show, starting at a serious disadvantage if they fail any questions. And then she has almost a full team with a Milktank that always hits first and never seems bothered by status effects.

Yeah yeah I know, get a Heracross and just bruteforce my way through. But if that's the only way to beat her that's not exactly balanced or fun either.

How do I get flash if needed for the lugia story event
Down in the Slowpoke Well.

Question how do you evolve quilava to husian typholsion also the infinite money cheat deletes the tms and berries why does that happen
Quilava evolves to Hisuian Typhlosion at night, between 6pm and 6am.
Since this game is a decomp, the data gets shifted around every time it's compiled. Cheats for original emerald will not work since they're modifying random game data. Cheats that are for "scorched silver" also may not work because it may be a different version than you are using.

will the kanto region ever be released?
No.

Hey Sloo, how do you evolve Sneasel into Sneasler? I have given it Razor Claw and leveled it like 30 times.
Must be between 6am and 6pm.

Question how do you evolve quilava to husian typholsion also the infinite money cheat deletes the tms and berries why does that happen
This game isn't built to handle cheats, use at your own risk. The spreadsheet provided in the original post states all evolution methods.

2nd elite 4 and champion rematch done. Really enjoyed the game Sloo, any plans for much content after this not including just catching legendaries?

Sorry if it has been answered already, but I am struggling to find the answer.
I've beaten the 8th gym and am trying to get the super rod & according to the excel it should be in the rage resort, however I still haven't found it after (I think) talking to every NPC.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks! :)

Where can I find starters? Was pleasantly surprised to find a piplup super early in the game

Aww yeah!
No, I don't really have plans for much more content after the 2nd elite 4.

Sorry if it has been answered already, but I am struggling to find the answer.

It's a little tricky, but it's the fisherman inside one of the cabins (bottom left I believe). You actually have to answer "no" when he asks if you like fishing.

Where can I find starters? Was pleasantly surprised to find a piplup super early in the game
Route 29, 30, and 46 has the gen 3 and 4 starters.

The witch doctor typhlosion wins the poll by a long shot. The demon didn't stand a chance!

I didn't have an issue at all with this. you're obviously not using stat raising moves or protective moves

Caution - Use cheat codes at your own risk!
Since this is a decomp, the game data gets shifted whenever it's compiled. Pokémon Emerald cheats will not work, and cheats tailored to Scorched Silver will probably be version specific (v1.0, v1.1, etc.)

Poll closed, I plan on using my Typhlosion and Feraligatr, and the DeviantArt Meganium as seen in the spoiler below:

Also, Hisuian Typhlosion is getting it's own Mega form.
I made two designs; a witch doctor, and a more ghostly form. Leaning towards making the witch doctor with the ability contrary.

Intro
Hey, it's been a while. I'm sure nobody expected to see me again.
In my typical fashion, I've kept the development of this game well hidden. Nevertheless, this is a complete game with 8 badges, and plenty of post game content. This is not a remake of Gold and Silver, but a sequel with an entirely new story.
Fair warning – The gym leaders use items and some setup moves making this game moderately difficult, but not impossible. If you defeat all available trainers before each gym, and use a little strategy, you should be fine.

Hope you all enjoy it!

Bugs
- Game freezes after falling down with Oliver in the Ruins of Alph: Fixed in v1.1 patch
- Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Voltorb currently don't evolve. Fixed in v1.1 patch
- Galarian Weezing (maybe others too?) seems to break double battles a little (the sprites will flip around some, not game breaking, but looks funny)
- Mega evolution symbol will stay on screen after the mega pokémon has fainted sometimes. Goes away after battle, or if you view your other pokémon
- In the multi double battles, if all of your teammate's pokémon faint, it may not let you switch
- Galarian Yamask can't currently evolve to Runerigus. Fixed and re-uploaded v1.2 patch 7/3/24 (Galarian Yamask just needs to sustain 49+ damage in battle, uses max HP - current HP formula).

would be cool to maybe put the pokemon and item lists in a google doc, i dont really want to buy office to be able to open excel lol

Can you trade and battle with friends? I just wasn't sure because of inclusion of the trade stone

The witch doctor typhlosion wins the poll by a long shot. The demon didn't stand a chance!
Yeah, seems to be lol. Makes it easy for me.

Hi Sloo! Thank you for the great hack! It's a blast! I'm having so much fun playing it.

I have few questions for you, if you can help me.
  • In the description you listed gen.7 move pools. Are the online wikis (like bulbapedia) still valid? Or have you tweaked the move pools? If you have tweaked them, do you have a list/document with the changes?
  • Gen.8 pokemons have the same gen movepools or custom ones?
  • Have you changed any pokemon typing (for example Luxray electric/dark instead of pure electric)? If yes, do you have a list?
Thank you Sloo and keep on the magnificent work!
I can't wait for the 1.3 version to come out!
The online wikis like bulbapedia should be valid with a couple of small exceptions. One thing, the pokemon in this game don't learn moves upon evolution (gen 3 mechanic), so I made "level up" moves like blaze kick on Blaziken to just be at the level they evolve (like 36 for Blaziken). If the pokemon evolves by stone, or they grow a level over their evolution level, then you'll have to go to the move relearner in Ecruteak.
I'm pretty sure the gen 8's have the same movepools, and I haven't changed any typings.

Thanks, 1.3 is shaping up to be a pretty good change. (I got an NPC that can change natures now, just have to do a little more work to finish it up).

Can you trade and battle with friends? I just wasn't sure because of inclusion of the trade stone
I haven't tried it, but you should be able to trade and battle with friends. Would probably have issues if you're connecting to a different game though.
I actually changed the evolution method for pokemon that evolve by trade to use the trade stone (gengar, machamp, etc.).
I figured a trade stone would be easier for most people.
