News: Pokémon Sun & Moon Officially Announced [Summary of news here!]

Although there is still a slight chance for those starters and protagonists to be real, I am not sure.

As for the characters, the male looks a lot older than the girl to me. I do love the tom boyish feel of that female though. I loved Hilda. By far my favorite female character. But the outfits don't match the tropical setting at all.

Hmm the last games we got was ORAS which were released in Nov 14, Sun and Moon Will be released around Nov 2016- 2 years gap. Do your math, I'm sure u can handle it

If you want to get snippy, how about you go back to school and learn proper English. Your sentence structure left a lot to be desired and is the reason for the questionable holes in what you said. In one full line, you complained that we wouldn't get any new games for 2 years because we didn't get any news this month. Direct line of thinking, you think we aren't getting anything else for another two years because of a lack of information. You'd have to do a lot of reading between the lines to understand what you said.

Yeah, they seem to match a more mountainous or safari like setting if you ask me.


Not saying that they're real or anything, but it's possible that the entire region won't be tropical. In real life there are plenty of countries, provinces, and states with varying climate and geology. Yup, it is both, as can be expected given that they're volcanic islands in the tropics. Some islands even have snow on their highest peaks, more so in winter. It'll be nice if they brought back seasons for it.


Though, by "mountainous " I was thinking of mountains in more temperate climates.

One thing you may have seen if you looked at the fake scans was the same image of the mansion with the Horsea fountain that we had first shown in the Direct. I do have to admit people are getting smarter at making fake scans, but hopefully some of the pics will lead to more speculation from here.

The boxart shown in the fake scans showed the legendaries having the same crystals that were shown on the Japanese logos. That makes me further believe the crystals may be a feature on the mascot legendaries.

I would not use the Fake scans to solidify a thought though. That is a manifestation of one specific artist's idea, doesn't mean that it'll be part of the actual product. The crystals could end up a specific key item, like the Orbs, that can have an affect on Pokemon or the Mascots. Or be Key items kin to the Black and White Stones that have a developed story plot.

It's happened in previous generations, it'll happen again. Some fakers can make nicer starters and characters than Sugimori and the other artists who work on Pokemon designing do...


Though, I didn't like those legendary designs as much as the rest of the stuff in the fake scans.

Those could also be hinting at a new feature related to silver and gold crystal items/something like the Mega icon on the XY logos did.

I can see where you're going here, because I know some legendaries have key items made specifically for them (like the Orbs you mentioned for the D/P/Pt mascots and also the Red & Blue Orbs for Groudon/Kyogre) but I could see them have a part in the plot, like what you mentioned about the Light & Dark Stones in B/W.

I believe Serebii said there was no SunMoon news in this CoroCoro only the Volcanion event. If nothing appears by the 15th, then that's all she wrote for this month.

According to Serebii's Twitter, they are fake scans. The Japanese is off by a lot. If they are fake, someone went through a LOT of trouble to troll.

As for leaks, sometimes the leaks do not share the meat of the corocoro, however it is rare for them to hide it.

I already saw a fake leak earlier with a grass and fire starter. The grass one look somewhat believable but the fire starter looked like an obvious fake.

Though, if the crystals are the legendaries themselves...why would each of the mascots have a crystal that is the color of the metal associated with the opposite title? Even in the Gen V games Reshiram was the Light Stone, and Zekrom was the Dark Stone, matching their body color. Well, unless of course the Sun legend is in Moon, and the Moon legend is in Sun.

I think I may have quoted the wrong person. Not sure what happened there lol. But yeah the Valcanion ones are real. But yeah, there will not be any Sun and Moon Info this issue.

If I had to guess, them telling us about Sun and Moon was random, so corocoro wasn't ready with new info. It was near the end of Feb, and Corocoro may have already been done by then. Which is why there was no mention of SUn and Moon at all.

Yes that is true. Volcanion event was all that was shown, at least at the moment.

I noticed on the fake scan that the "legendaries" had the crystal of the opposite version's colour, like on the logos. Most legendary-associated items, as you said, tend to be tied with the colour of the legendary, but it'll be interesting if they decide to do the opposite if the logos are hinting towards it.

I'm pretty sure we don't have to wait for E3 to learn info, because I know with most previous games we tended to get a good amount of info from multiple CoroCoro issues alone. At this rate, I'm sure the May 2016 issue will reveal the first major piece of Sun & Moon info, likely the starters, protagonists and mascot legendaries. But even if we don't get the starters next issue, I'm still expecting the legendaries since they tend to be among the first new Pokemon revealed after the game announcement.
