"Oh of course. I'd cheer you on again in a heartbeat." Adaline exclaimed in response to Oilver, a rosiness spreading across her cheeks. Zach then approached Adaline, whispering into her ear and informing that she was up next to battle Viola, proceeding to wish her good luck.

"Thank you, Zach." Was Adaline's response, her vermilion lips curving into a determined smile. It was finally about to happen, her first official gym battle. Deep down, she was feeling rather skittish, however, she maintained her calm, poised disposition as she gracefully stepped down the bleachers, Paris in toe. She turned around briefly to examine the faces of her companions, her cyan orbs lingering on Oliver and she cast him a smile full of elation. Let's do this.

Drawing near the bug-type specialist, Adaline caught her eye. "Viola, I would be delighted to engage in battle with someone of your caliber," She declared, her voice soft as silk and as smooth as butter.

Viola pulled out her camera and snapped a photo of the blonde. "Your expression is full of passion and utter determination. It makes for an excellent shot." The leader beamed, studying the picture momentarily before returning her gaze to Adaline. "Now, regarding your request, I'd love to battle you. But, I have to warn you, I'm going to switch things up a little bit so that these matches aren't so monotonous." As she spoke, she got into proper battle positioning, Adaline following suit, the two trainers now standing on opposite sides of the gym.

"Now, let's begin." Viola bellowed before throwing a shiny pokeball into the air, a rather unexpected pokemon appearing from it. Adaline held up her pokedex in order to collect data on the unknown creature.


"Ledyba, the Five Star Pokémon. These naturally gentle Bug types gather in groups during cold weather to keep warm." Her pokedex uttered.

"What a quaint pokemon. Paris, are you up for battle?" Adaline gently asked the Fennekin.

"Fenne-kin!" The fire-type pokemon responded enthusiastically before bounding onto the battle field.

"Oh, this should be a magnificent battle!" Viola gushed, snapping another shot, much to the shock of Paris. Viola really couldn't help herself.

"Now, let's get down to business! Ledyba, Swift." She hollered, the bug pokemon launching a plethora of shining stars towards Paris.

"Dodge, Paris." The Fennekin complied, springing into the air and simultaneously evading the attack with grace. "Well done, darling!" Adaline called out affectionately. Viola smiled to herself. "Your pokemon has astounding agility, I must admit. However, my Ledyba isn't lacking in that department either." The bug-type specialist forewarned before making her next move, "Ledyba, use Mach punch."

In a split second, the bug-type hurled itself at the fox pokemon, landing a powerful blow that sent Fennekin reeling backwards.

"Paris, are you alright?" Adaline queried. The fire-type nodded in response. "Alright, use Scratch!"

Paris raced toward the ladybug pokemon, swiping at it and missing. "Put the pressure on, keep using scratch." The Fennekin repeatedly swiped at the Ledyba, failing to land the attack a few more times before finally managing to connect with the now tired mon.

"Phenomenal! Now, use Ember!" Adalined called out, her voice steady and confident. The attack landed, the bug's body now aflame.

The Ledyba collapsed, as it was evidently injured and exhausted. However, it reluctantly got up, much to the bemusement of Paris. "Well, well, that was impressive but we still have more fight left in us!" Viola stated fiercely. Paris and Ledyba exchanged a few more blows, both pokemon pushing themselves to the limit. In the end, the ladybug pokemon fainted abruptly.

"Marvelous, Paris! You battled splendidly! Oh, I'm so proud of you!" Adaline gushed, hugging her pokemon excitedly.

"Don't celebrate just yet, we're just getting started." Before Adaline knew it, Vivillon graciously emerged in a ball of white light, its wings beating with exhilaration.

Paris gazed at her opponent, her orbs burning with anticipation. "Alright Paris, this time we shall make the first move! Ember!"
"Gust," Viola quickly commanded, the butterfly pokemon batting its wings at a rapid pace, diminishing the fire attack mid-air and simultaneously blowing Paris back.

"Hold your ground, Paris." Adaline instructed, her long blonde tresses blown back by the turbulent breeze that now filled the room.

The Fennekin fell back slightly before stabilizing herself.

"Go, use Flame Charge!" She called out. The Fennekin dashed forwards, launching herself at the butterfly pokemon. Her attack connected and contemporaneously Vivillon was flung backward, crashing into the dirt below. However, the pokemon slowly recovered, sustaining only minor damage.

"Stun Spore, followed by Gust!" Viola howled, a yellow powdery cloud being blown towards Paris. Before she even had a chance to move, she had succumb to paralysis. Now in a vulnerable state, she gazed back fearfully at her trainer.

"Return, Paris! Rest now. You've done a wonderful job, darling." Adaline whispered to her pokemon as she was transfered into her ball.

"Vienna, take center stage! It's your time to shine!" With that, the Scatterbug appeared on the field.

"Oh what a peculiar turn of events! You've sent out a Scatterbug, the baby form of my own dearest Vivillon! Let's see how well trained it is."

"Tackle, Vienna!" Adaline ordered, the caterpillar pokemon drawing near her opponent. Vivillon easily evaded the oncoming attack, its speed was unmatched. "Gust."
The Vivillon's attack landed dead on, sending Vienna falling backwards. "Get up, Vienna! I believe in you!" Adaline called out optimistically.

"Signal Beam, Vivillon! Let's end this!' A vibrant attack shot from the butterfly pokemon's antennae, landing dead on. Vienna was sent reeling yet again, collapsing hard onto the ground. The bug-type struggled to get up before its body was consumed by a florescent light.

"Oh! Vienna!"

A Spewpa emerged from the light.

"Vienna, y-you evolved!?" Adaline gasped in disbelief.

"Spewpa! Spew!" Her companion replied. Adaline nodded knowingly. "Now let's win this!"
"Gust, Vivillon!"
An idea popped into Adaline's mind, a brilliant one at that.

"String shot, use it on the ceiling!" The spewpa obeyed, the silk-like substance spewing from its mouth and sticking to the ceiling of the dome-shaped facility. "Now use Tackle on Vivillon!"

Vienna swung with the help of the silk in her mouth, avoiding the powerful winds that were headed her way. Releasing herself from the string shot, she soared in the air from the momentum of her swing and collided head-on with the butterfly pokemon, quite literally knocking the wind out of it.

Viola appeared stunned, so Adaline saw an opportunity and took it. "Stun spore!"

At such close range, the substance encomassed Vivillon and the pokemon was inevitably paralyzed. "Beat you at your own game." Adaline remarked, an assured smile plastered to her face before calling out her next command. "Tackle! Use it continuously until your opponent has fainted!"

After using the attack repeatedly, The Vivllon fell with a thud, crumpling on the ground in a cloud of dust. Viola's lips were agape as she returned her beloved partner to its pokeball with a shaky hand.

Adaline scooped up the Spewpa, and hugged it feverishly. "We did it, Vienna! Oh, you were outstanding!" She beamed.

Viola hesitantly approached Adaline. "You defeated me and now, I think this belongs to you. Well done!" She announced, handing Adaline a gleaming, bug-shaped badge.

"You've earned yourself the bug badge."

After studying the badge, Adaline glanced at Viola, who she was slightly taller than. "Thank you so much."
Viola shook her head. "No, no! Don't thank me. I should be the one thanking you. That was a tremendous battle and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Your pokemon are very well-trained. You should be proud." Viola praised, placing a hand on Adaline's shoulder.

"Your kind words are much appreciated. I do hope that we can battle again someday, truly." As Adaline spoke, her eyes were full of hope and light.

"I'll be looking forward to that day!" Viola said with a grin.

Oliver just smiled as Adaline took her turn in the battlefield, suddenly being a lot more focused in the battle, and actually shouting some words of support.

"You got this, Adaline!" He cheered, feeling a bit out of his element, but pushing it.

While Oliver was looking the battle intensely, even pulling out his camera to take a few shots, Rafael was talking to the Froakie as he got up.

"Thank you for that, good luck on your battle" He said, getting up "I am always game for a battle, and Oliver can be competitive when not trying to impress someone" He laughed. "We are hanging with lovelorn fools, but it's too fun" Rafael stood up and leaned back, only to nearly fall. A nervous chuckle came out of the turtle.

By the time the battle was coming to a climax, he started looking more focused, not moving for a bit, not saying anything. But his eyes never left the battle nor Adaline, as he wished her well.

Once the battle was over, he jumped up once again.

"That was great" He breathed. "You are amazing" He said excitedly. Even if he was making a royal fool of himself, he was happy. Maybe later he'll figure out what he was thinking and feeling, but for now, he'll just enjoy it. "Your Pokemon are quite determined, too" He said, sheepishly.

Adaline moved towards the bleachers, a smile plastered to her pretty face. She took a seat beside Oliver, her cyan eyes meeting his Azure ones.

"Thank you so much for your praise and support. It truly means a lot." Adaline felt a sudden urge to embrace Oliver. Of course, she wasn't going to act on such a thoughtless impulse, but it certainly was tempting, even for someone as refined as herself.

"I am quite curious to see if who will challenge Viola next, if anyone at all." She wondered, instinctively glancing at Zach who sat with Adrianna. She then gazed at Joseph, who was sitting in solitude. Adaline felt a pang of guilt, as she had completely disregarded him earlier. Although, he was a rather discreet individual indeed.

"Where do you plan on heading next, Oliver? After this, I mean. Cyllage city would be the most commonsensical destination I suppose. Of course, it is quite a prolonged journey." Adaline smiled meekly as she spoke. She was well aware that she was being rather loquacious, however, engaging in dialogue with Oliver was so easy and effortless and she simply couldn't help herself.

Both Zach and Adrianna didn't pay too much attention to Adaline's battle at first, as they were mostly focused on each other. They were both shocked and in awe to see one of Adaline's Pokémon evolve though.

"Congrats on the evolution, Adaline!" Adrianna had called out to her friend. Unfortunately, Adaline seemed too focused on the battle to hear her (or perhaps that was a good thing so she'd be more focused on the match).

Later, Adaline won her match and received her badge. Both Zach and Adrianna rose up from their seats and congratulated Adaline.

Adrianna gave Zach a kiss on the cheek, knowing that it was now his turn. "Good luck, sweetie!" Zach blushed, but kissed her right back and went to go get Froakie.

Adrianna sat next to Adaline and Oliver, who seemed very involved in their own conversation. Still, she chose to chime in. "So, after Zach's match, what do you guys want to do next?" Maybe we could buy some food and have a picnic on Route 4?"

"Yeah, looks like we have two couples to deal with," Froakie replied to Squirtle, lamenting the fact that all the trainers seem to be in a relationship. Before Squirtle could respond, Zach appeared and picked up Froakie.

He headed towards the battlefield and said, "Alright, Froakie. Now's our time to shine!"

When Zach took his place on the battlefield, he saw Viola on the opposite side. "My name is Zach Walker and I'll be your next challenger!"

Viola smiled and made a camera gesture with her hands, putting Zach in focus. This caused Zach to blush slightly, but thankfully Adrianna was too focused on a conversation with Adaline and Oliver to notice.

"Very well! Allow me to show you my first Pokémon!" Viola exclaimed as she threw a Poké Ball in the air. Out popped a small, green spider-like Pokémon. It was a Spinarak!

"Spinarak, huh?" Zach commented as he reached for a Poké Ball on his belt. "Froakie, you wait there. I've got just the Pokémon for this!" Throwing a ball in the air, Fletchling appeared, ready for battle.

"Alright, Fletchling, use Peck!" Zach yelled. The bird flew towards Spinarak, and pelted it hard with its beak. Zach seemed confused as to why Viola didn't order a counterattack.

Viola smiled and then said, "Use Fury Swipes and then follow up with Poison Sting!" Now that Fletchling was at a close range with Spinarak, this gave a great opening for Spinarak to attack, despite the damage it sustained. It scratched Fletchling multiple times before shooting a tiny needle onto Fletchling. Fletchling was sent into the air and after a moment, it became clear that Fletchling was poisoned! It would sustain damage every so often now.

"Ugh, that's not good! Use Double Team and then follow with Razor Wind!" Zach called out, getting slightly frustrated before regaining his composure.

"Spin and use String Shot to destroy each of them!" Viola commanded.

Multiple clones of Fletchling appeared in the air as each of them shot a sharp white blast of energy at Spinarak. Unfortunately, that was quickly countered by String Shot as each of the Fletchling disappeared. Fortunately, there was one left unaccounted for that didn't do any attacking. It was the real one! This one his Spinarak with another Peck, nearly knocking out Spinarak. Unfortunately, Fletching sustained more poison damage, and was having trouble staying in the air.

"Fletchling, return," Zach said as he grabbed Fletchling's Poké Ball. Froakie took Fletchling's place on the battlefield.

"Direct attacks aren't going to work unless we can distract them," Zach thought to himself before turning to the battlefield and commanding, "Smokescreen!"

Froakie nodded and jumped into the air. He then shot a puff of black smoke from his mouth into the air where Spinarak was. Eventually, the whole field was covered in smoke, making it hard for anyone to see what was happening.

"Alright,Froakie use Pound!" Zach yelled, hopeful that his plan would work.

"Counter with String Shot!" Viola said.

The already weakened Spinarak struggled to launch String Shot, but did manage it slightly. Unfortunately, it was impossible for Spinarak to find its opponent, so it completely missed its mark.

Zach eventually heard a loud pounding noise, which he figured was Froakie hitting with Pound. "Great, now finish it with Bubble!" He heard Froakie call out to him as several bubbles hit Spinarak, who was sent out of the plume of smoke and right near Viola's feet, where it lay fainted. As the smoke around the main part of the field cleared, Froakie stood in a very stylish pose.

"Nice job, Froakie! Now let's beat her last Pokémon!" Zach said as he gave a thumbs up to the frog.

About four trainers had gone by, and none had noticed Joe yet. Heh, no one even sees me. I could startle them so good... He smiled to himself. After Zach he planned to go up and win. Of course, didn't they all?

Oliver blushed at what Adaline's words, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"No problem" He said, feeling a bit foolish, but happy "It was a pleasure, really"

Just then, Zach went in to his battle, prompted a good call of good luck.

Her question made him think about the future, putting a distant look as he thought about it.

"Probably, it IS the logical choice" He noted, thoughtfully "It'll take a while to get there, but the sights are gonna be worth it, how about you?" Just then, Adrianna arrived and asked about his plans after the battle, making him think.

"Sounds nice, honestly" He said, with a deep breath "I have something to do when I leave the Gym, but it won't take long"

Beyond that, his eyes turned to Zach's battle. A tense affair, and Fletchling wasn't gonna last long, so it probably will be decided by Froakie.

One step at a time He thought, with his camera ready for the best to come.

"Ideally, I'd love to travel to Lumiose city again and shop. Afterwards, I suppose Camphrier town would be my next destination. It is quite a charming little town indeed. The main hotel there is splendid, my family always used to stay there when we visited."

As Adrianna placed herself beside Oliver, Zach was getting in battle position. She posed a question to which Adaline briefly considered. "A picnic sounds like a lovely idea, Adrianna. It's gorgeous out, so it's a marvelous day to have one."

Adaline thought of quaint finger sandwiches, salubrious salads, plates of various cheeses, and decadent desserts. Growing up, her family often would have picnics in the shade of a silver maple located at the top of a hill on the outskirts of Laverre city. They would spend the afternoon enjoying light conversation, laughing and of course, indulging. She missed those days dearly.

Adaline turned her attention to Zach's battle which seemed to be rapidly intensifying. She noticed how Oliver brought out his camera and appeared to be patiently waiting for an opportunity to snap a perfect shot. She looked forward to seeing his shots after the battle.

"Vivillon, come on out!" Viola threw her last ball in the air. Out popped her Vivillion, which flew around in the air gracefully for a brief moment. Since she had used Vivillion in all her battles today, Zach felt like he knew what to expect, but also didn't want to get overconfident.

"Let's do the same thing as before, Froakie. Smokescreen!"

"Counter with Gust!"

After Froakie threw a ball of smoke at Vivillon, Vivillon elegantly batted it away with the gust of energy created from her wings. This caused Smokescreen to disappear completely. Both Zach and Froakie were dumbfounded by this.

"Hit Froakie hard with Energy Ball!" Viola commanded. As Zach and Froakie were too shocked by what just happened to launch a counter attack, Froakie got hit very hard by a super effective Energy Ball, sending him skidding very far backwards.

As Froakie staggered to his feet, Zach asked, "Froakie, can you still fight?" Froakie stood back up, turned to his trainer and nodded confidently.

"Great! Now use Bubble!"

"Counter with Aerial Ace," Viola stated, confident that she could wrap this match up quickly. Fletchling was not a threat to her.

As bubbles shot from Froakie's mouth, Vivillion raced towards the frog at a great speed, which popped the bubbles with ease. Froakie smirked at the last second and even Zach wasn't prepared for what would happen next.

Froakie formed a ball of blue energy in his hands, which he shot at Vivllion. Vivillion was hit at close range and sent flying backwards, but still managed to stay in the air.

"Whoa, Froakie! That looked like Water Pulse. Nice job!" Zach commented, although he could tell Froakie was reaching his limits.

"Looks like you're tougher than I thought. Vivillion, use Psybeam!" Viola's confidence was getting shattered as she came to the realization that this match wouldn't be as easy as she hoped.

Vivillon shot a multicolored beam at Froakie, which Froakie managed to dodge. He was now directly in front of Vivillion. Both Zach and Viola called fro Water Pulse and Energy Ball respectively. After the moves were launched, a huge explosion ensued, creating tiny cracks in the walls. Both Pok?mon were also sent to the ground in opposite direction.

Froakie and Vivillion managed to get up, but after another moment, Vivillion fell to the ground as Froakie barely stood. Zach won!

"Wow, that was epic!" Zach called out as he ran over to Froakie. He congratulated Froakie and then returned him to his Pok? Ball. After thanking Viola for a great match, he headed back to the stands to rejoin everyone.

Oliver was keeping his eyes on the battle, trying to get a good shot, and not be too awkward with two pretty girls close by.

Just breathe He thought. He managed to not look tense, and he took three pictures. One of Viola, one of Zach, and one of the final clash.

Smiling, he clapped as Zach won, before checking the pictures as he came back.

"Good show, man" He said, simply, with a small smirk.

Adaline politely clapped as Zach successfully defeated the esteemed bug-type specialist. "Nicely done! A magnificent battle." She congratulated, although her tone was rather soft and it was unlikely that Zach heard her.

Adaline noticed that Oliver was examining the photographs that he took during the final moments of the battle. "Mind if I have a look?" She queried. Adaline knew that Oliver was quite a talented photographer, however, she'd never seen him snap an action shot and was rather curious as to how the pictures turned out.

Oliver looked at the pictures he had, humming approvingly. "Not bad, light might be a bit off, but..." He muttered to himself.

With a nod, he handed the camera to Adaline.

"All yours" He said, a bit nervous.

Adaline gingerly took the camera into her hands before observantly studying the pictures taken. She was thoroughly impressed with what she saw. Of course, she expected no less of Oliver.
"These are fantastic, Oliver!" Adaline gushed, her rogue lips curving into a smile.

"I especially adore the one of the final blow! Such a lovely action shot."

Adaline began to go through the photos before she found the one that Oliver had taken of her and Josh on route 4. Upon seeing the picture she blushed before handing the camera back to Oliver. "Sorry, I wanted to see some of the other photographs that you've captured." She admitted sheepishly.

Oliver only managed to smile shyly and nod at that.

"Thanks" Was all he could say, as his face started shining red. "Don't worry"

Looking at Adrianna, he sheepishly smiled as he remembered something.

"Sorry, didn't take a picture of your battle" He apologized "It feels kind of rude to be honest"

"Thanks, guys," Zach responded to both Adaline and Oliver, before Adrianna jumped over and gave him a hug and some kisses.

"Oh, you did the best job! You looked so cute and confident!" Adrianna said to her boyfriend as she continued hugging him.

Just then, she heard Oliver's comment about him not taking any pictures of her match. She turned around, leaned towards him and said, "Aww, that's OK. Don't worry about it, Ollie. I'm already taken anyways. As long as you got pictures of your girlfriend, that's all that should matter." She winked at him before Zach grabbed her by her waist and pulled her back slightly.

"Stop that," Zach said, somewhat annoyed. He then handed her back her denim jacket. "Here's your jacket by the way. Maybe you should put it on."

Adrianna sighed, but still put her jacket back on, opting to button it up all the way this time. "So, we are all going to have a picnic on Route 4 for lunch. Would you care to join us, Zachy poo?"

Zach blushed at her nickname for him, but still nodded. "Yeah, that's fine. Maybe we should buy some food at the nearby shops first and heal our Pokémon too."

Zach turned to Oliver and Adaline. "If you guys are ready, let's get moving."

"Alright, splendid!" Adaline cheerfully exclaimed as she gingerly grabbed her sleek black purse. She gracefully walked down the bleachers before bidding farewell to Viola, who appeared visibly despondent and emotionally depleted. "Have yourself a lovely day, Viola. Thank you again for the incredible battle." Adaline called out, attempting to uplift the bug-type specialist's seemingly low spirits.

"Thanks for coming!' Viola weakly croaked in response, a smile forming on her lips.

Adaline patiently waited for the others at the main entrance of the gargantuan facility. She didn't want to be discourteous and leave without them. "I'd be delighted to go pick up a dessert somewhere." Adaline volunteered, imagining of icing covered cupcakes, indulgent brownies, and mouth-watering cake pops.

Oliver just managed to smile at Zach, trying to be nice, but Adrianna's comment caused him to turn so red he might as well glow in the dark.

"Girl... Girlfriend?" He stammered, losing a fair amount of composure "Y-you must be mistaken, I am single" He managed to say, a bit choked.

Once outside, he calmed down.

"Well, this is gonna be fun" He commented, his sight going from the group to the blue sky.

It was good to live.

Zach and Adrianna were the last from the group to leave the gym, and they bid farewell to an exhausted Viola as they left.

"Alright, let's heal our Pokémon at the Pokémon Center and then meet up with Adaline and Oliver," Zach suggested when they got outside.

Immediately, Adrianna protested. "Come on! Can't you just go instead and take my Pokémon with you?" She reached for the Poké Balls on her belt and held them out in her arms, intending for Zach to take them.

Initially, Zach was unwilling to do that, but Adrianna put on a cute puppy dog face, which was hard for Zach to resist. "Oh fine," Zach said as he grabbed her two Poké Balls. "Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone though." He then headed off to Santalune's Pokémon Center.

Adrianna smiled and then looked around her surroundings, before spotting Oliver.

"Hey, Ollie!" Adrianna yelled loudly at him as she ran over and gave him a big hug. "Sorry if I embarrassed you earlier. Am I still your bestie?" She hugged him a little tighter and looked him in the eyes, smiling.

Adaline cast Oliver a deprecating look, cocking a perfectly shaped brow, before turning on her heel walking in the direction of a well known restaurant famed for their lavish desserts.

Upon reaching the ostentatious establishment, known as
délices décadentes, Adaline strode through the glass door at the building's entrance.

Inside, waiters were dressed in white and elegantly moved around the place, plates filled delights in their hands. From the marble tiled floor the red velvet draped and the beautiful glowing chandeliers, everything about the place screamed class.

The counter tops were well polished, gleaming in the fluorescent light. The display racks though were what caught Adaline's attention. From the chocolate drizzled cakes to the sugar lace pastries, the miniature cheesecakes, and steaming puffs, everything looked absolutely heavenly.

Adaline gracefully approached the hostess, a tall, slim woman wearing a pair of black stilettos and fitted noir dress. "Greeting, madam. May I seat you?" The hostess politely queried. "Oh, no. Thank you, but I was wondering if I could get a dessert to go. Those pastries look simply splendid, and those cakes are just to die for!" Adaline gushed.

"Why of course, miss!" The woman responded. "Étienne, will you help this lovely young lady? She wants something sweet." The woman called, summoning a tall male wearing a tailored navy suit and a matching bowtie. He had curly dark hair and a smile worth a million dollars.

"Bonjour jolie demoiselle! How may I be of assistance?" Étienne asked, bending down and planting a gentle kiss on Adaline's delicate hand. Adaline blushed slightly, she marveled at the male's perfect French. She herself had studied the romantic language for many years and could speak it fluently.

"Merci pour votre gentillesse, monsieur! J'espérais prendre une pâtisserie ou deux pour y aller, si vous aviez la courtoisie de m'aider." Adaline replied smoothly.

"Of course, mademoiselle! Anything for you. Pick whatever you'd like!" The dark haired boy said, leading Adaline to view the display more closely.

After Étienne assisted Adaline in carefully selecting only the finest of desserts, she walked out of the restaurant with a bag full of Macarons, chocolate glazed Éclairs, and a container filled variety of different cheesecakes.

"Adieu, my darling! Do bless us with your presence again!" Étienne called out to her. Adaline blushed meekly.

"Au revoir et je suis sûr que tu me reverras! Oh, where are my manners? Thank you again your all of your help." She spoke in a sing-song tone.

Adaline then drifted away, walking in the direction of the Pokemon center, the sweet aroma of desserts in the air.

"Don't worry, we are still friends" Oliver told Adrianna, poking her in the forehead for some space. But then noted Adaline's look and felt the smile leaving him for a second.

"Aand I just royally screwed up, didn't I?" He said, a bit nervous. Great, he had to fix that soon, but first, he needed to get a few things, going out for a few drinks and a small something for him to eat. Walking into a market, he was resolved to buy a few things.

"Let's see, a baguette, tomatoes, lettuce, lemons, what else…?" He mused. While he dealt with that, a voice called out.

"Oliver Pines" As he turned, feeling somewhat bummed by the girl, who he knew for a time. And sure enough, her red french braid, bright purple eyes and cute appearance, with her blouse and skirt.. One wouldn't imagine her being the older of the two, but there they were.

"Diana" He said, suddenly feeling a bit self conscious, but putting a smile on his face, trying to think of what to say. "How is life treating you?"

"Pretty well, actually" She answered, as he kept checking for his shopping "Started working on the clothing store, it's feeling like it's making sense, how about you?"

Oliver just shrugged "Starting a trip, visiting places, meeting new people, catch a thief or two, you know, the usual plans"

She just laughed "Great! I wish you good luck"

He smiled "It's good to talk with you again" He admitted, looking for something else.

"Why did we stop, anyway?" Oliver knew why, but decided it wasn't relevant anymore.

With a shrug, he finished his with his list.

"Whatever was it, it's over now" He said, calmly "I have to cook, say hi to Jacques for me, if you don't mind"

"No problem, let Zane and the others know" With that, he went to pay, running into his house, with a heavy push, he was in, and ready to prepare a big sub sandwich for himself and some macaroons he had gotten for his Pokemon.

"This should do it" He said, wrapping it, keeping it safe in his backpack and leave for the Pokemon Center.

Locked Looking behind him, he wondered if he should keep the guitar with him, but decided to take it, it might come in handy.

The Center it is.

Adrianna blushed when Oliver poked her in the forehead, as she moved back slightly. She smiled over at Adaline when she noticed the look Adaline was giving. After Adaline left, Oliver walked away too. Adrianna almost wanted to kiss him, but decided not to.

"Maybe next time," Adrianna thought to herself as she turned in the direction of the center, in order to catch up with Adaline, as well as Zach who was still at the center.

When she got to the center, she didn't see Zach right away, but she did see Adaline, so she walked over to talk to her. Meanwhile, Zach had noticed the girls, but chose to remain quiet and out of their sight in order to eavesdrop.

"Hey, Adaline," Adrianna said as she walked over and tapped her friend on the shoulder. "I saw you got a little jealous over my hug with Ollie. I guess you really do have a crush on him. He's a cutiepie!"

Before Adaline could respond, Zach appeared shortly after. He heard everything, but did remain somewhat calm. "Hey, ladies. Looks like we're almost all here. We should get moving when Oliver gets back."

He moved closer to Adrianna, who smiled when he was closer. He shot her a serious look, which caused her smile to disappear.

"Yeah, I guess..." Adrianna muttered as they waited for Oliver.
