Where did you build it and how big? The ones I was looking at tutorials for had like three or four layers of portals. Also hanging out by it helps.

This sounds like a pretty big project y'all are doing - what's the specifics?

The Massacre at Museum Hill

Twenty-three villagers (and three golems) were brutally murdered at the trading post located across the street from the Museum on September 1, 2014. Two iron-masked men entered the building near noon when the town was empty, beginning a slaughter that would last a total of two minutes. The two men, who city police (Chief Eoscuro and Detective Klipp) have been unable to identify, used diamond swords during their attack. Following the brutality, the men used axes and shovels to completely level the trading post, destroying and contaminating any evidence linking them to the crime.

There were no witnesses to the violent crime and no clues as to the identities of the two masked men have been revealed by police.

Chief Eoscuro had this to say during a press conference today near the Museum of Modern Minecraft:
"Though we do not know who is behind this tragic and barbaric crime yet, the full resources of the Verdanturf Police are investigating what occurred. We have several leads we are investigating, but our detective is doing his best to find proper evidence in the rubble we collected from the scene."

Considering the recent revelation that Verdanturf Police Chief Eoscuro has ties to black market zombie flesh and was nearly indicted for his alleged possession of illegal glowstone dust, public confidence in the department is at an all time low. Around 12% of the community trust in the work the department is doing and after recent zombie assault rumors were hushed up by Detective Klipp, citizens are not only feeling unsafe, but fleeing the confines of city life and moving to the suburbs where they can protect themselves with Second Amendment-guaranteed Bows.

For residents of Verdanturf County, the possession of enchanted bows is still a felony and, if caught, has a maximum sentence of two hours in prison. Residents do not fear, as they feel the understaffed Verdanturf Police is ignoring the offense in favor of safety.

As of this savage attack, Verdanturf crime continues to rise and total deaths for the month stand at roughly 77. The arrest rate for the county stands at about three, which shows a lack of resources in the department at finding and catching criminals. Detective Klipp had this to say in response to the findings:
"We're doing the best we can out here and the actual results are the proof. The city and county have had a string of zombie groups moving into the area, which have been swiftly dealt with. The crime reports you list give no real indication into the effectiveness of the department and if you look at the numbers of zombie attacks in the month, the number is declining - rapidly.

As for the deaths of those villagers, I'm doing my best to unearth some clues and will inform the media as soon as we have a solid lead or an arrest."

Off-the-record, I was told that there are two possible witnesses and several suspects currently being investigated.

The City Council of Verdanturf, in memory of the victims, has built a memorial, the Museum Hill Memorial. Constructed in likeness of the most recognized victim, Villager With Diamond Tools For Trade, the memorial is a beautiful centerpiece for the town with an unfortunate reason for being there.

If you would like to donate to the Victims' Families of the Museum Hill Massacre Fund, please see Detective Klipp or deposit donations in a chest near the Museum of Modern Minecraft.

A 3 layered portal, 23x23. You won't believe how much obsidian I had to collect to get it. I could make another one.

you know we should have like a building for the Verdanturf Chronicle :P

Maybe even have a TV station for Verdanturf? It should be named TNTv :3

Anyways, when I said you could cut the tree Klippy, I meant the biggest tree on the top of my hill, not the ones at the side of Spruce Drive :x Anyways, I put a Rose on the memorial to commemorate the villagers ;;

OH, I'm planning to make an underground town under Verdanturf. After I finish my base, I'm planning to convert the Leijon Ravine to Underturf ;) I also thik that a rail line should be added too.

The underground town idea makes me think of the under in Pokemon Colosseum.

Also my minecraft has auto updated to 1.8 so I wont be able to get on the server until I got back to the old version.

I may... Not be on that much lately.

The 1.8 patch was released after all.

After talking with a guy from Beastnode, I was able to update the server to 1.8 so say hi to the bunnies for me!

Best part? Didn't wipe out the server in the process. Everything is just as we left it.

*drops the mic*

Psst. If you wanna fix that... ;)

This update to 1.8 has done nothing but bad things now. I can't even go anywhere without my FPS dropping to below 10. Thing is, I have everything optimized. So much for that rewrote optimized engine we were promised. Now, I don't think I'll be able to face the Enderdragon with this crappy speed. Really dying to scream profanities now.

Even in single player I'm not getting any good speed at all. This was a bad move imo. :/

That's terrible. :( I think they'll have to release a patch soon cause there are a few texture issues, so maybe they'll fix that alongside it too.

I never been to the enderworld, if it's called that. But I guess if we can take it on as a team it shouldn't be that bad, right? RIGHT?
Well It's called the "End" not enderworld.

Alright, we've already found two Ocean Monuments. Doge and Klip found one, while I found the other. The coordinates for the one I found are roughly:

x: 2876 y: 63 z: 559

Really don't recommend anyone going Rambo into it and trying to get all of the loot. Doge and I were getting pushed around by the Guardians in our attempt. We didn't even make it into the actual temple. Granted, we were severely under-equipped. But hey! We managed to take out three Guardians LOL. Also, there is a constant lag in the server right now, and it only gets worse when you go into the ocean.

EDIT: Okay, guys. Lockette is disabled for whatever reason due to the update. So, be careful, I guess.

The other ocean monument is roughly at x: 692 and z: -2386

Just to add to what Arc said, by under-equipped, one of us had full diamond enchanted armor but we still got bullied around quite a bit. Especially with the lag issues right now, you'd be swimming to your death if you tried breaching a monument atm.
