I made an automatic chicken farm after doing some testing with dispensers and redstone clocks. Chickens are trapped in a tiny room and drop eggs into hoppers, the hoppers move the eggs into a dispenser, the redstone clock causes the dispenser to constantly shoot out the eggs, and then hatched chickens fall into a water current that pushes them into a small underground room. The chickens that fall into that room can be killed for food and/or feathers. There's a chest for eggs, too. Later I might upgrade it so that it produces cooked chicken automatically, if it's possible.

One of the rules say that you can't destroy anything that other people have built, so you really don't need to worry about that. :)

I like it. It has a nice ring to it.

EDIT: I can't seem to get on the server currently. Anyone else having problems?

Well, I'm gonna have to announce that I'm done with minecraft online. My connection lately has been really poor pinging between 800ms to 6000ms.... and it's taking me about 25 minutes to properly log on (when I can freely move, without being brought back to the same place and shaking a lot) and, tbh, I haven't got the time or patience to wait 25 minutes just to log on. What if I end up with some sort of error that causes me to log out? I'm not waiting another 25 minutes again.
 
Sorry to hear that, Penta D: Hopefully your connection will speed up soon. We'll keep your creations intact in the meantime.
 
I keep testing it now and again but there's been no change. I notice that the ping seems to go from 165ms to about 1300ms on the server list, when I keep refreshing. Sometimes the ping is instantaneous, other times it takes about 7 seconds before it says ping e.g. 250ms.

Also, server is down once again.
 
Maybe there's something going on with the sever provider since it's down again. It might explain why you're having bad connections. If there is an issue, I'm sure it will be resolved soon.
