    The building that was abolished in Gen V as a result of store being merged with PKMN Center. Will it make a brief return to the series?
     
    Yeah, besides, I think they wanted to incorporate the Mart inside the centre seeing as it was quite convenient for the building in front of the Pokémon League. This would improve the uniqueness of the cities because there would be only one generic building remaining (since we have custom gyms now).
     
    I want to see a separate building of the PokeMart again since it was kinda nostalgic to see it back on its former glory.
     
    Personally I don't want to see it come back, I think the merge between that and the Pokemon Center was great and should be kept like that. Although it'll leave some towns kinda empty without them, maybe have a couple construction sites around the place with new facilities (new contest areas, side quests etc.) just to keep the areas enticing.
     
    I would like them to return as well, but there is a high chance they're not returning. Places like Dewford and Pacifidlog didn't have PokéMart, but with the inclusion of PokéMart in Centers, said towns will now have a shop because of this. That is kinda weird to me.
    My expectation is that the PokéMart will return, and that the Pokémon Center may have the communication department again, if the PSS doesn't return on the bottom screen of course.

    Considering the region is very likely to be in 3D it won't look out of place.

    I would not be shocked if the 3D switch makes a redesign for the citys and towns happen.
     
    That is more than likely, seeing as we can now have towns and cities that are more densly-populated.

    However, the Department Store in Mossdeep will need to return. Or merge it with the Center to create a big building like the one in Castelia (although with the additional floors actually accessible).
     
    I'd like it if in lieu of PokeMarts we got small specialist shops in every other (or so) towns + cities where they'd sell stuff exclusive to that location.

    And definitely the return of the Department Store
     
    It seems to've become a standard that marts are in the Pokemon Centers so I doubt it'd be changed for one game. The XY set up looked very nice as well so hopefully something like that returns.
     
    Given the PokeMarts are inside of the Pokemon Center lately, if they were to replace the spots where the PokeMarts stood in the original games I'd like to see clothing shops because trainer customization was one of the good things X and Y had going for it so far and it'd feel like a step backwards if they didn't have it this time around.
     
    I honestly hope to see those lil' blue devils everywhere, again. I mean, Ruby and Sapphire WERE the games that gave the PokeMarts a specific look to them. I love the mart being inside of the Center, don't get me wrong, but I've always liked the thought of them being separate places, and I miss all the people inside of the PokeMarts who would tell you useless hints and tips lol
     
    Yo I never thought about this. This can have some serious implications for really really tiny towns like Oldale. o_O
     
    We've not had a remake since the new PokéCenter/Mart dynamic was introduced. Though I reckon we'll see one of two things; either they'll keep true to the original maps and keep the marts the way they were in R/S/E, or replace them with some other kind of building. Most areas would work much the same if the Poké Mart was replaced with an NPC house or some other form of building if they were to continue the typical fashion of how they work now.
     
    If there was some widespread new feature or facility I could see them combining the centre and mart. Then have said new facility in each town where the mart used to be.

    It would have to be something that would make sense to be in every town.

    I could see Marts being replaced by clothes and accessory shops. How else will we customise our characters?
     
    I really doubt we'll see a PokeMart ever again and would prefer it stay that way. The term "Pokemon Center" alone depicts that it'd be the hub for all things Pokemon - not just healing your party - so the continuing on with that would make the most sense (I'd think).

    Would like most of the marts to be replaced with clothing stores or perhaps something cool and new. Or just NPC houses, whatever works. ;(
     
    Look, all the stuff that's been changed since gen 3 was changed for a reason, and with X and Y being such huge steps forward, it'd really be a shame to see Game Freak working backwards for "Nostalgia." I understand for many people this was their first Pokemon game, but Game Freak has FINALLY decided to start taking risks and going forward, let's not ruin that so soon, or we won't see any major changes for another decade at least.
