Pokemon and Humans: Vode An

I rushed forward, not needing my eyes. my days before the fight with the other scythed creature had been spent wandering inside the cave where I had found it. I no longer needed my eyes. I could smell the other pokemon, and hear the slight tones of rustling which would prove innaudible to most other creatures. I rush forward, and tried to bring my scythes up under the base of its four arms, keeping them as still as I could, aiming for the slight gap between the top and bottom sets of wings...

The rain was soothing on my burns, although I could predict what was to come. I used a trick Tear had taught me to calm myself and begin fighting in truth. I fed all my anger, rage, hatred, though, emotion, all of it into a small mental flame. It consumed them all until even it winked out of existance, leaving a perfect void. Here, I could ignore wounds. Here, thought didn't interfere with the battle. My senses jumped another notch. I was now an entirely seperate being, one I'd long ago dubbed the Hunter.

Using the momentum of the Scyther against it, I hooked my arms at its shoulders and slid under it, delivering a swift kick on my way towards the Lanturn.

The few second delay was enough. Lanturn's call rang clear even through the rain, and an exceptionally bright light lept into the sky, dissapearing into the clouds, then Lanturn's light flashed again as a full force Thunder attack came down on the mutant Scyther. I had an Ultra Ball ready, watching carefully. i knew that Lanturn had the advantage over almost ANY pokemon here. I felt my heart racing now, and I counted the seconds, silently praying that the 10% chance of paralisis would be on my side tonight. all I could do now though, was wait.

I rolled forward. I couldn't avoid the attack, but I could minimize the area it struck, focusing the damage and lessening the overall injury of the wound. The bolt struck on my back as I came out of the evasion. It hurt like hell but I didn't seem paralysed. Or so I thought until I tried to stand. Something had happened to my nervous system as the bolt struck. I could move, but it sent waves of pain through my nervous system. My speed seemed to be dramatically cut as well. I couldn't take this on top of my other injuries. I climbed slowly to my feet, hissed "*****," then collapsed to the ground, concious, but too exhausted to move.

"today just seems to be the day of meeting weird pokemon and nearly killing them." I muttered, tossing the Ultra Ball at the mutant pokemon. If it had simply backed off and left I wouldn't have to do this, but now I was interested in where it gained it's abilities, and why it was attacking me. I glanced up as the rain stopped, and Lanturn swam in circles happily, excited about its victory where my other pokemon had lost. I sighed in relief, but watched the Ultra Ball. Once my catch was secure I could heal it, but until then, letting my guard down was not an option.

I resisted as best I could. Admittedly, this wasn't much, but I put up a terrific fight, shaking back and forth almost as if in the grip of a seizure. Memories kept flashing through my head. Flames. Burning. There he was, standing amongst the colony. He laughed cruelly as his Charizard hit a Scyther trying to flee square in the back with a Flamethrower. Scar along the leg. It was Aki. Had to help her. I lept forward, blades flashing. Woke up weeks later, charred, battered, bruised...And captured. He hit me. All he ever did. Do something wrong, wham, a fist in the gut. Do something right, it wasn't fast enough. Slap. Every now and then, he brought out a whip for added fun. Never slept, barely ate. Couldn't go back. Couldn't go back! I redoubled my efforts, trying to break free. Inside the Ultra Ball, I screamed at the futility of it all as I felt myself grow weaker. Then, the distinctive ching as the capture was completed. I sighed and collapsed, sure that this time it would be even worse.

I picked up the Ultra ball once the capture was completed, and I knew i had to move fast now. Once out of the Ultra Ball, he could attack me once he was healed. "Scyther, Lanturn, if this thing comes after me, i need you two to block him." I said, as I let the mutant out of the pokeball, preparing to use my Full Restore on him... the trick was to be able to get out of range before he attacked... What are you doing?!?! this is stupid!! He'll just kill you! it doesn't matter what you do for him!!! my mind screamed at me, but I had to ignore it. Which may be the last thing I ever did...

I fluttered to the eath, landing right beside, and a bit in front of her. I didn't much like our chances if he tried to attack, even in his weakened state. But I would follow the orders she gave. Any orders she gave, without question. If he tried to attack, I'd block him. And if I had to, I'd keep her fomr harm by taking the attack myself if I had to...

I came out of the ball, surprised, but preparing for the worst. I tensed my muscles in anticipation of the flurry of blows that was no doubt coming. When nothing happened, I slowly opened my eyes to look at the female. I was surprised that she wasn't trying to do anything to me, but that wasn't enough to diminish the hatredd in my gaze. I stared at her, refusing to believe she wouldn't try and do anything. I was too weak to effictively attack right now, the best I could hope for was to try and get my blades up if she came to hit me.

I moved slowly over to the mutant, kneeling down next to him, saying "This'll sting a bit but you'll feel batter afterward."as I quickly used the Full Restore on him, making sure to spray it evenly across his body. but I knew that my life was at his hands now, even though I was quickly backing away, I could not out-manuver a Scyther.

I hissed at the sting. My muscles tensed more, if that was possible. I expected a blow somewhere, anywhere. My old master had done that, beaten me half to death, then healed me, just so I could do it again. I knew I couldn't do much now, not without the same result. I settled for backing away, eyes still locked onto the female's, still with all the hatred I felt oozing from my stare. Without shifting my gaze, I hissed to the other Scyther "Blood traitor." It was a profound curse amongst Scyther, one that implied someone who would sell his colony for a few measly scraps of meat. Among most Scyther, it was an insult bound to start fights, even blood feuds.

I could feel the hatred already, but by now, I wasn't that worried. that's what I thought until I heard Flygon screech from behind me, causing me to jump. normally it wouldn't have fazed me a bit. She must have gotten out of her pokeball while I was healing the bug pokemon. "Flygon. that was just not nice to do to me." I said, but Flygon just laughed. to the Scythers I said "Now, you two, don't start a fight, I've already had to fight both of you to keep my own life, I don't want to have to fight to seperate you two."

I said nothing in response to the creature's comment. I was packless, I had been. I had been adopted into this pack, and it was obvious that the pack leader, the female didn't want the wretched thing harmed. And I would do as she said. Unless of course, I needed to protect her. Then I'd be more than happy to try to stomp the horrid creature into the ground until it resembled goo...

I hissed back "You deserve death, *****. Watch your back." Overall, though, I was calming down. I recognized that I'd been captured and would now have to wait to get my chance to jam my blade through her neck. I lost myself briefly in a fantasy of that happy moment. I could almost smell the blood as I visualized it, an odd bulge at he throat, first, then my blade exploding from the back of her nec forward. Blood spattered everywhere as I ripped upward, slashing through her skull. Corpses lay behind me, that ****ed blood traitor, the Arcanine, Lanturn and Flygon. The fear on the one side of her face that wasn't mangled was glorious. I snapped back to reality soon enough, though, already looking at the grim prospects ahead of me.

Flygon translated it reluctantly, and I shook my head, saying "Why's that? sure, I had to capture you, but you attacked me first." At the least, I might as well find out what was with this guy, then see if I could help him. I was already suspecting that he had a former trainer that wasn't that nice to him, it'd take a bit to work that out.

"You're human. What more reason do I need" I replied accusitorily. I wasn't willing to go into my past life now (or ever, for that matter, with a human at least). I lifted my back foot up and carefully scraped some of the mud from the bottom of it with my blade. Itwas then that I heard a low growl from nearby, a fmiliar sound to me. I turned my head towards the noise, my sight locking onto the bushes.

I heard the growl as well, and I watched the mutant Scyther, saying quietly "Maybe you should give a kid a chance." though I doubted he'd listen. It'd take time, I knew that much. I got out Lanturn's pokeball, and silently sent it to my pokemon storage, since I had to keep to the 4 pokemon rule.

I barely heard her. If that was who I thought it was...I snapped "Out of the way" to the girl. Not that I cared for her or anything. Her head was mine, not anyone else's, not even Tear's. A Mightyena bounded out of the brush, going straight for the girl. A scar crossed over her left eye and a patch of fur on her tail had the look of being burned at some point. It was indeed Tear, the one person I could call a friend. I lept forward, tackling her in midair and snarling "She's mine. I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm the one who's going to kill her."

I shook my head as Flygon translated, saying "I take it you've been abused, no other pokemon can hate humans so passionatly, and I think-" I didn't get to complete the sentence, as my eyes caught a blur of blue in the forest, as something large and blue sped by, not reguarding the events in this clearing. It only took a few moments for my mind to refrence the books it had memorised years ago, and the scene played back for me, frame by frame. Red eyes, blue lupine form, and a large crest on it's head that was lightweight and shaped like a crystal. "that... couldn't mean anything good..." I muttered under my breath, identifying the dog-like pokemon that had rushed by as Suicune. What was the legendary dog of the Water type doing in Hoeen?

"What do you care" I asked harshly. Tear had calmed down by now. She understood that I wanted her for myself. As she starte and muttered, I asked "What is it?" No one interfered with my prey. No one. Whatever it was, if it wanted to try and take her, it would die.
