I believe pokemon are tools to be used for war waged against other people.
You breed a ton of pokémon for perfect ivs and ev train them to be battle ready. What do you do with the ones that don't meet your standards? Just like tools that do not fit the job, they are cast aside. Or do you actually use that army of 200+ brokémon?

Pokemon are our friends, our partners. They always stay by our side in battle and that's where the bond between trainers and Pokemon are very important.

I don't see them as tools. True, I do breed a lot and often times end up with dozens or even hundreds of Pokemon that didn't meet my standards. But in those cases, I just trade them away to find new homes for them, or release them to roam free.

I actually agree they are mostly tools of war, but they are also very loyal friends.

Not necessarily most of the time for people Pok?mon are friends and companions that travel with them and they get stronger together with Trainers.
plot twist what if the trainer is the tool for the pok?mon just to get used more?
    conspiracy? ....
    i think not
