I was waiting for the Pokemon Bank for so long and I am sad that they didn't release it today. I hope they fix all the problems soon.

Also, did some people manage to get hacked Pokemon into X&Y?

It isn't confirmed but it is most likely the case. People have been getting perfect iv shiney Pokemon, and I doubt that they were gained legitimately.

For only 5$ a year and getting a way to bring B/W over...plus a free Celebi? awh yeaaaah (the free Celebi is still good right?)

I screamed when I found out they were giving a Celebi 'cause it's one Pokemon I never had the chance to get :) So happy.

oh well :( I never traded with anyone I didn't trust anyway so I am not bothered. It's just sad 'cause I enjoyed Wonder Trade ;-;

The Pokémon Bank was supposed to be released today for European games.

Yet it wasn't available for download when I checked this morning. (Said something like Release date TBD I think).
Aaaand now it's not "not available"... it's completely gone. What?

I'm so happy I met a Japanese Player :D She helped me Transport my Dragonite, Milotic, Larvesta, Venusuar, Carracosta and Glaceon last night to XY! :)

what kind of delay we looking at; a day, week, month?

i thought the entire point in waiting for dec 27th was to get all the people who got it for christmas and the players that already have the games together into one big rush, for the grand unveiling...and they didn't even have the resources to do it >.<

That's still almost 1000 pokemon from Black & White (1&2) x however many millions of people bought the games. And why only gen 4/5? You can still transfer pokemon all the way back from Gen 3 and they had moves that aren't learnable in subsequent games. And on top of that, there HAD to be a way to get Surf Pikachu OR to transfer that Gen 3 Pikachu because the Wii game Pokemon Battle Revolution has the animation:

Battle Revolution had it's own Surf Pikachu. The algorithm to check each Pokemon wouldn't be tough, but there are few legit ways to have a Surfing Pikachu, and none of them could be transfered with the move intact in a legit way to B/W/B2/W2, as to migrate the Pokemon forward the HM Move needed to be unlearned regardless of it being from an event and not taught via an HM. The game does not record how you learned a move, it only records that the move was there. That was the point I was trying to make, and why checks should not slow things down.

Think about how long a trade takes to go through. That it about how long I would expect a transfer to Pokebank to take for each Pokemon, including any hack checks. I think you are suggesting that people bulk uploaded their whole save files up, which I doubt is how the transfer works.

The hack check that PokeTransporter has in place is very shoddy. Even worse than the little bit of expectation I've had of it.

People have been able to edit 5th gen mons in a way that makes them look Kalos native (Pentagon and all!) upon arrival. I don't think anyone expected it to be this bad. lol

The Poketransporter likely only checks Evs, moves, abilities (even tho dream world shiny starters are impossible, they still pass).

ofcourse it is, haven't you seen the video? at the VERY least people can upload 30 at a time if not their whole save file full of pokemon, it's not a 1 by 1 deal: https://www.pokemonbank.com/en-ca/bank/

I'm not sure about any of you guys, but I'm about to pokegen a lot of Pokemon to use in x and y, as it is pretty much a given that hacked Pokemon will be able to get through. Will still try to make them as legit as possible though XD Right down to location and when it was met.

I honestly can't wait until they release Pokemon Bank, it sucks that it's delayed, but I have to wait. When it comes out I'm going to try and transfer my hacked (legal) pokemon over, and if they manage to go through, I'm gonna switch to WEP and start using Pokegen. It really sucks it has to be delayed though...

Not being able to beat someone doesn't make them a cheater. If you lose too often its because you aren't that good at the battles or don't have good enough Pokemon. There really isn't any way to cheat with the current system and it has checks that won't allow specific Pokemon into play if their stats are way above the allowed amount or if they have foreign abilities.

I've been doing great on battlespot, easily 2:1 w/l ratio and I haven't played pokemon since diamond.

I had 3 ass whoopings in doubles today from teams full to the brim with shiny legendaries. What's the betting they all had 6 perfect ivs too?

I agreed with the others when they said it was a skill issue, not a hack issue. But an entire team of shiny legendaries? Yeah, that sounds hacked to me. But, uh, they are still beatable, ya know. You remember some of the legendaries?

What legendaries were they? Because remember a few months ago they released shiny Dialga, Palkia and Giatina over wifi, so EVERYONE with Black 2 or White 2 had access to those three as long as they had internet. And a Shiny Genesect was released even earlier this year as well in a separate event.

Has anyone gotten the Bank yet? Nintendo shut down the E shop for my area -_-

No one has, however it was released in Japan a couple days ago so all the unobtainable pokemon are floating around on the GTS. It has been pulled from the Japan store as well though, so technically no one can get it anymore.

The Bank is currently unavailable for everyone. Nintendo somehow didn't anticipate the massive server strain that would be caused by Christmas and the PokeBank, so their servers weren't prepared to handle it, and they had to postpone the release of the Bank while they get ready/fix ****.

EDIT: I got Greninja'd again. And with the same question too...

Depends on your definition of legitimate. We've know how to determine what specific IV's are transfered by breeding, and we've found out that trading with specific id's will result in the egg hatching as a shiny, so... It just depends on your definition of legitimate. Imo, they are not - They are, essentially, the result of abusing exploits. But they are generated wholly in game so some consider them legitimate.

Not sure - But it's going to be sometime next year at a minimum.

Edit

Anyway... According to some people who tried it out before it was pulled, the checks are shoddy at best. So yeah... Not only has the bank failed to release as orginally stated, it's not very good at blocking hacked pokemon.

Thats two strikes against it. Wonder what the next one will be - Given Nintendo's track record so far, it really wouldn't surprise me if users had their memory cards mysteriously become corrupt.
