    From the same people (person) who brought you Rocket's Revenge, comes a whole new exciting adventure.
    Pokemon: City of Evil

    Just like Rocket's Revenge, the biggest feature of City of Evil, is it's story. This game definitely will play different than your average Pokemon Game.

    - Story
    Well, I don't want to spoil too much, because the story is the whole reason Rocket's Revenge was popular, and well, I like to think that is what will be the shining asset of this hack also. You are a 16-17 year old male/female. You live in a poor village, somewhat off in the country. Everyone knows each other, but you are known as a trouble maker. You are a head of a little gang of friends, always up to no good. One day you decide to do something really risky and bad. The old man at the top of the village owns a mart, and you've decided to steal some things from it. One events leads to another, and you've found yourself in a much bigger problem than you expected! What exactly? Well, haha. I'm not telling. ;]

    The region is obviously much bigger than your little village. We're going back into older times. Your village is under the rule of a King, who lives in (To Be Named) City. No one likes the King. He rules many surrounding villages, most poor and unsuccesful.

    - Features
    No Gyms again, ew gyms.
    There will be alot of new features, if Rocket's Revenge is any good of a sign. I'm not giving them away though.

    - Screenshots
    Hey, this is the scrapbox. I've only just begun. If you want to see one of the villages though, go look in the Map Rating Thread. Page 48 I think.

    - Team
    Wanna help? Sure, let me know.
    I might revive some of my old team, if they still want to help, but for now. It's just me. :]

    EV's Map (I actually looked, yes.)

    Sounds like an interesting idea, though the idea of older times means I'm going to ask you about GSC tiles and Apricorns.

    The mapping looks decent, besides errors. I'm glad to see you've added multiple levels; far too many hacks these days use the mountain tiles only for hills on which to place a single house or a boulder..

    This honestly sounds like a semi-mix of RR and Fable.. While the player probably won't join an evil team again, is the game going to be more focused on doing bad?

    Older Times, as in like. Midevil. Not as in Hacking Generation. I prefer the newer looking style. :P

    I didn't throw out the idea of an evil "team". But yes, no Team Rocket. In fact, no real relation to anything Pokemon, besides the actual Pokemon.

    Certainly sounds like it will have a good storyline. I don't really know much about Rockets Revenge since I wasn't very active at PC when it was still in production but from what I've heard it was a really good hack.

    I would love to help with this hack if you want me, I can do most things except ASM and spriting. I'm probably best at mapping, I think you rated one of my maps a couple of days ago? It was the one with old houses etc. if you want some more proof PM me or check out my thread. Although if you have alot of people already then don't worry about it. I think having a big team was one of the reasons Rockets Revenge didn't get very far, right?
     
    followed RR all the way, I enjoy tempting the dark side.

    Im a bit confused about the whole thing but I guess thats how you want it
     
    Seems like a good hack, and I hope you finish this hack too. Finally a game where you don't have to be the good guy (other than Rocket's Revenge and maybe some others), did you start scripting the events?
     
    I'll start scripting today. I wanted to get a little mapping done, and ofcourse there was alot of planning that needed to be done. :]

    It's good to see a proper hack in the scrapbox.
    Are you going to be changing those tiles in that map? I just thought a medieval hack would need a more 'Kyledove-esqe' type feel.

    anyways, i like the storyline. :)
    shows the true world where is invisible in the eyes of many people (except for the king part, which is like, happened in the past, which still is true).

    Wow, looks like Earthsvisitor has a new hack. The storyline sounds great, the evil guy type. Well, I can't wait to hear what comes next.

    And I looked at your map and I pretty much liked it. But I don't think you should add grass in the starting village/town. But probably you have a reason for it. I could help you with some stuff if you want.
