New Pokemon Black and White toys comming this summer!
With a new generation comes not only new ways to play and collect, but new ways to... well, play and collect!
First we have the Reverse Pokeball Plushies. These plushies can go from Pokemon Plush into a plush pokeball. The Snivy plush stands about 11.2 inches tall. Retail price on Toys R' Us is $15.99 (online)
Here is the Mini plush (Left) and Soft Pokeball (right). The term "Mini Plush" is self explanitory: a 5 inch plush, making it about half the size of the Reverse pokeball plushes. The soft pokeballs are various pokeballs that follow the designs of pokeballs used in the game/anime: (From left to right as seen on the box) Dusk Ball, Safari Ball, Dive Ball, PokeBall, Heal Ball, and Repeat Ball. They are soft as they resemble a Nerf-Ball like quality. There is no retail price for any of these yet. Last gen. Mini-Plushies retailed for $5.99.

The Throw Ball Plush (Left) and the Unova Pokedex (Right). Both of these are Black and White remakes of Pokemon Toys dating back to the first generation. The Throw Ball Plush is a small plush (around 2 inches) that fits inside a plastic pokeball with a keychain. The Pokedex (in its first form) held data on all the pokemon that could be looked up at any time. The concern with the Unova pokedex is that it only contains data on 75 of the 153 new Unova Pokemon. Also new with the latest PokeDex's are mini games that can be played on the 8-bit screen. The Throw Ball plush (in it's earliest form) went for $10. The Pokedex (in its first form) went for around $25 (if I remember right).
This is new to the Pokemon Toy empire. These are deluxe figures of the Legendary Pokemon Zekrom (in the box) and Reshiram. These have been seen before, as a $10 item at the Pokemon Black and White tour several months ago. These figures feature moveable legs , arms, and wings. It is unknown if they will be more expensive than they were at the tour. PRICE EDIT: They are sold on Toys R Us for $13.99 each.
(EDIT: Upon closer inspection, these are not the same figures one could have gotten at the B/W tour back in Feb/March. They are made of a different material and have parts that move slightly differently to the ones at the tour.)
The single and triple pvc figure packs are classics since the dawn of the franchise. These figures stand about an 1 to 1.5 inches tall, and are exceptionally detailed. These figures have no moveable parts, so they are more just for looks. An old single pack ran for about $4, while a triple pack ran for up to $10.
Not only do we have these amazing figures (The ones that are out can only be found on ebay and Toys R Us) McDonalds is stepping up in the 5th generation to give us some awesome happy meal toys!
Remember the late 90's when Pokemon was mega popular and can be found everywhere you went? Back then, fast food restaurants such as KFC and Burger King offered special Pokemon merchandises such as figures, plushies and cards with a purchase of a kid's meal. If you were a fan back then, then there's a good chance that you probably still have some of those figures and plushies lying around in your house. With the recent success of Pokemon Black and White in North America and around the world, McDonald's has teamed up with TPCi to offer exclusive Pokemon figures and cards with a purchase of their Happy Meals!! Very smart move on McDonald's part because Pokemon is as hot as ever again! I can't wait to see how the figures and cards look like! :D
The toys will be available at all participating North American McDonalds
starting June 17, and running to July 7th.
The figures will be as follows:
Pikachu- Cheeks will light up when you press its tail
Snivy- Push it foreward its head will move down.
Oshawott- Bobblehead
Tepig- Press its back to make its tail light up
Zorua- ??? (EDIT: Push down on Zoruas tail; release and he will pop up)
Zoroark- Moveable arms and waist
Reshiram- Moveable arms and legs
Zekrom- Moving arms and wings.
