Pokemon Mystery Dungeon

Chapter 31

Here's Chapter number 31. This chapter really isn't that exciting, but it does include a triumphant moment for Team PokePals.

31
Old Managements

Despite the disappointing truth, Team PokéPals continued their rescue work, helping other Pokémon in need, and increasing their rank's points as well.

And soon, it finally happened. After working hard and getting enough points, Team PokéPals finally increased to the Gold rank. They were very proud of their success.

If that wasn't enough joy, the rescue base's completion soon neared. Eventually, all the others' work was done. All that needed to happen now was for the Mankey gang to pitch in and finish the final touches on the rescue team base.

Content with how things were turning out, the team went on doing rescue jobs, and even sometimes had little chats with the townsfolk.

"I still think we should have been the ones to go to the Magma Cavern," grumbled Bulbasaur one day at Whiscash Pond. "Yeah," Charmander agreed. They hadn't had really anything exciting to do, and they were pooped out from work.

They had been training at the Makuhita Dojo and getting stronger, but all their leveling up seemed to be doing nothing.

"Well," Pikachu said. "We've done our part. Now we just have to wait until everything is settled." "Yup," said Charmander. "I just hope my Dad is okay."

"Don't worry, Charmander," Pikachu assured his friend. "I'm certain they'll be back soon." Still, they really had nothing to do.

Over the next few days, they recruited more Pokémon and added to their rescue team. Eventually, they realized they had forgotten all about the base's construction, and hurried back.

When they got there, they saw the three lazing Mankey Brothers. They went over to them and woke them up.

"What is it?" asked the leader. "Have you got more Chestnuts?" "As a matter of fact," said Charmander, "We do! Here, take them!" And they handed the two peeled Chestnuts over.

The Mankeys instantly gobbled them up. "Hurrah!" the leader said bubbly. "All right! That's just the energy we need! All right, you lazy lot! Back to work!" And they went back to their labor. And finally…

Team PokéPals and their friends who had worked to help them stood proudly at the finished team base, which now looked exactly like Pikachu's face. The flag was also changed to yellow with an electric bolt on the front of it.

"Sniff…Finally, this day has finally arrived at last!" Charmander said. "Pikachu, we did it! Our rescue team base is complete!" "It's so cool," Bulbasaur said. "Every time I look at it, I see nothing but coolness and all that is meant to be cool. Its resemblance to you has a nice touch, Pikachu!" Pikachu was flattered. He had a building that looked just like him.

"We all worked very hard, didn't we?" Caterpie said with a happy sigh. "It was hard, but it was worth it!" Wynaut agreed. "Wobbuffet!" "Thanks for your efforts, everybody!" Pikachu said.

Just then, the Mankey Brothers leader said, "Say there. I wanna ask you something. If this rescue team base is finished…does that mean you won't bring us peeled Chestnuts anymore?" Pikachu thought about that. "Well, would you like some more?"

The leader said, "Well, we, uh…don't wanna bother you too much by always asking for more Chestnuts, so…" "We can peel the Chestnuts for you!" Wynaut said. "Really?" "Yeah!" "Alright then." "To our Mankey gang!" said Team PokéPals. "Thanks for everything!"

And so, due to the promises of more Chestnuts by Wynaut, the Mankeys said their good byes and returned to the Uproar Forest, as well as promising to stop rampaging.

And so, the rescue team base's renovation was completed, and for a while, everything stayed normal. For a while…

So that story's done with. Tomorrow, we'll see what events drive our heroes onto one of their most heroic missions yet!

And by the way, I see lots of people are viewing my story. But could I have some replies on the chapters? I don't wanna be rude, but I'd like to hear what you think.

Good job on the story ! I like it a lot.

Chap 32/End of Part 2

Destiny Revived

A few days passed, and Team Groudon S.W.A.T still didn't return to the square. Anxiety grew when a week passed when they didn't return. And finally, they did. But not in triumph.

It happened when Pikachu was having a nice sleep one morning. He yawned, stretched, and got up. Just as he did, another earthquake shook the new base.

"Another earthquake?" Pikachu thought. Then it stopped. "There've been so many quakes lately…" groaned the tired Pikachu. "I hope they'll settle down soon…"

Just then, his door banged open, and Charmander and Bulbasaur came running in hurriedly. "Pikachu! There's a commotion down at the square!" Charmander panted. "A lot of Pokémon have already gathered there! Let's go to the square right now!" And they quickly ran to the square.

When they arrived, they saw the same humongous crowd of rescue teams there. "Lombre! What's going on?" asked Bulbasaur. Lombre gulped as he looked them in the eye. "Hey, Bulbasaur. Well…"

Then he broke off. "You should just go see for yourself…" he said grimly. They did, and they were shocked. In front of them lay the battered and beaten bodies of Blastoise, Octillery, and Golem.

"Look! It's Blastoise!" cried Charmander. "Shiftry! What happened to them?!" Shiftry miserably replied, "…They were wiped out in the underground dungeon." "You're kidding me!" Bulbasaur gasped.

Blastoise groaned. "Groan…that place…it's rough, seriously." "We couldn't get far enough even to see Groudon…" Octillery panted. "I don't ever want to go back to a place that bad," Golem wheezed.

Shiftry was discouraged even more than before. "It appears," he said at last with a heavy sigh, "That the Magma Cavern is far worse than we imagined."

"Kekekekekeh! Gee, that is too bad!" "Yes, truly a shame, Hahahaha!" "I sssussspected sso! Hissssss!" The crowd turned and saw Team Meanies coming down the path, just as evil and cruel.

"What fools," Gengar chortled. "That's what you get for trying the impossible! Kekeh!" That made Charmander mad. "You just shut your big fat mouth up, Gengar! It's only expected that we try! This is for saving Alakazam's team and my dad!"

Medicham laughed. "Hahahahaha! You really aren't that bright, are you, you little Fire twerp? The crowd has seen Blastoise defeated. They're convinced it's impossible to travel through the Magma Cavern." "Yeah!" Ekans cackled. "Even the weak-minded ssseem to underssstand their sssitauation! Hisssss!"

Team Meanies' words seemed to be having their twisted effect. The rescue teams had lost almost all their hope and courage, and expressed this through their disheartened conversations.

"It's too much. Even Blastoise went down." "It's gotta be awful tough. Who'd wanna go into a dungeon that dangerous?" "There's no way. I can't go. I burn too easily." "I can't take earthquakes! It'd be like going and knowing full way we'd get wiped!"

Pikachu, Charmander, and Bulbasaur were all stunned. "Everyone…" Bulbasaur sighed. "You see! They look even smarter compared to your pathetic brains!" Even Shiftry was feeling the same way. "My leafy fans would burn up…" he said.

"Even Shiftry…" Bulbasaur said with disbelief. "Kekeh! Get over it!" the evil Pokémon sneered. "Don't expect to be rewarded just because you tried. Sometimes it's better to wise up and give up!"

Then Gengar laughed. "Huh? Did I say something profound? Kekekekeh!" "Hahahahahaha!" Medicham laughed. Ekans hissed with pleasure.

It seemed no there was no hope, and that the Magma Cavern truly was unconquerable. But did that mean giving up completely? Charmander turned to his friends. He had no more ideas.

"Pikachu…" he said sadly. "I just don't know anymore. What should we do? Even if it's the impossible…should we still try? Should we still try to save Alakazam…and my father? I don't think we can."

Pikachu thought deeply. He thought of all those times when they had been in tough situations like these. It was Charmander and Bulbasaur who had always kept their spirits up and tried their best for Pikachu, their friend.

Ever since the beginning, they believed in him when he had lost all hope. Now, it was they who needed his strength. Now it was up to him to bring back what their rescue team…Team PokéPals stood for. It was time to say words of courage.

"I have no idea what lies underground," Pikachu said, "And I don't know if we'll be able to do this. Wait…that's wrong. I do know we can do this. You stuck with me so many times before, and in the darkest of times, you were my light to something better. You gave me all that I needed, my friends. And now, I give you the strength that you need. I believe in you, Charmander. And I believe in you too, Bulbasaur. I believe in what we are trying to earn…peace. I know we can do it if we try our hardest. I'm not saying for sure we'll win…but if we're heading underground, I'll stick with you to the very end. I'll die fighting for what we believe in. We can do it."

Those words of power and wisdom were just the words needed to rebuild the faith in Charmander and Bulbasaur that was the fuel for their arduous times. "Yes, Pikachu." Charmander said. "I believe that too. You've given us faith, Pikachu. Thank you for that."

"Yes, Pikachu," Bulbasaur said. "If you're fighting for what you believe in, so am I!" He then gave a big whistle. "Alright, everyone! Listen up!" he said.

The crowd of despairing Pokémon turned to them. "We've decided," Charmander announced. "That we're heading underground to save Team ACT!"

"What?! What did they say?!" "What?!" Gengar cried. The town began talking again.

"Hey, who are they? Can't say I know them." "It's Team PokéPals. They're famous around these parts." "Team PokéPals…wasn't that the lot that were suspected of involvement in the Ninetales legend?" "I heard about that! Weren't they living as fugitives until recently?" "Can they handle it? They don't look very tough."

Bulbasaur addressed this matter. "It's true-the rescue might be too much for us to handle. But we're still a rescue team. To help Pokémon suffering from the natural disasters…that's why we started up our rescue team. That's why we want to rescue Team ACT more than anything. Never giving up…that's where Team PokéPals stakes its pride!"

Team Meanies was cross. The truth was, they weren't too fond of the disasters either, but they didn't want anyone else having more glory than them. If they had more power, that meant they could take over the Mystery Dungeon Realm easier.

"Kekeh! You've really been thinking hard, haven't you?" Gengar mocked. "But your talk is useless." "You want our advice?" Medicham sneered. "Do like everyone else and wise up!"

But the words that had been spoken hadn't been regarded as clownish nonsense. It was true honesty and bravery. It was a speech that reminded the others about what rescue teams were about. No matter what the circumstances, they still had to try.

"No," Shiftry said, "Team PokéPals is right." "Ugeh?" Gengar said, surprised. "That's right. I wasn't thinking straight…out of fear. "Ugegeh?!" "We all forgot the most important thing. We are rescue teams. Pride…we have it too! Pride as rescuers!" Team Meanies was horrified. "Have you losssst your sssensssess?!" Ekans hissed.

"Why would you listen to those twerps, and worse, be persuaded?!" Medicham screamed. "Why go if you're facing certain defeat?!"

Then they heard, "Is that so?" Blastoise struggled, and stood proudly. "We've only failed once." "Blastoise!" Pikachu cried. "This is no time to be lying around!" Blastoise chuckled. This upset the Meanies even more.

Then, Octillery pushed herself up on her tentacles. "Yes, no more wallowing in woe-is-me self pity." Then, Golem stood up too. "If we give up, that's how it ends. Not for me, it doesn't." "Octillery! And Golem too!" Bulbasaur said.

Gengar groaned. "Ugegegeh! You lot, wasn't the tune you were just whistling a little…" "Aye, that's right!" said a Golbat. "There's got to be ways we can pull through!"

"If we pull together, we'll be sure to find a way!" "We'll conquer the dungeon by having all the rescue teams cooperate!" "Wroooooooar!"

Gengar was horrified. "Noooooooooooo! This can't be happening!" Then he screamed, "Team PokéPals! I'll get you for this! I'll make your life miserable for ever until I get rid of you in my life!" Then he ran away, with an angry Medicham and Ekans following him.

Blastoise spoke up. "Thank you, Bulbasaur and Charmander. You stopped us from throwing away the most important thing we have…pride. My thanks from all of us."

"Thank Pikachu for that!" Charmander said. "Without him, we wouldn't have the courage to carry on." "Well, then!" Shiftry said. "Starting tomorrow, we will head for Magma Cavern!"

And so it was decreed. Staring the next day, the greatest challenge Team PokéPals had to face yet would begin.

They did not know if they would succeed, but now they knew that their efforts just might be all that they needed.

End of Part 2

So, Pikachu and his friends take on the Underground tomorrow. Will they save Team ACT? When will the natural disasters finally be quelled? And more importantly...will the Mystery Dungeon Realm be saved?

I suggest for you all to reflect on the events of this second part of the story. JB out.

Part 3 Begins/Chapter 33

Let's recap, shall we?

After spending time running as fugitives, Team PokePals find the Lapis Cave and make it through. When they do, they are forced to run to Mt. Blaze, and encounter Moltres, a firey Pokemon with a hot temper. Next they trek through the Frosty Forest and quell Articuno, another Legendary disturbed by recent events. In doing this, an Absol joins their rescue team.

At last, Pikachu and his friends make it to Mt. Blaze, and meet Ninetales with Team ACT. It is finally confirmed that Pikachu is innocent, and that Gengar is the real human in the dreaded legend.

After an earthquake, it is also revealed that these earthquakes are being caused by the slowly awakening Groudon. Team ACT takes on the challenge while the others go home and prove themselves innocent, and decide not to expose Gengar as the human.

Meeting Gardevoir in his dreams again, Pikachu learns that his coming to the Realm was not by accident, but of destiny. Pikachu vows to find the truth.

The next day, Team PokePals are enlisted by a Wynaut and Wobuffet to quell three wild Mankeys. After doing this, the Mankey Brothers agree to help build an impressive team base for our heroes, but stop and agree to work more if they get more Chestnuts.

In the meanwhile, Team ACT hasn't returned, and Shiftry decides now is the time to take action. He calls tons of foreign rescue teams to the square and picks out three Pokemon that form Team Groudon SWAT.

Pikachu and his friends in the meantime, advance to Gold rank, and deliver the last needed Chestnuts to the Mankeys. The base is finished, and the Mankeys are happily promised with more Chestnuts from Wynaut.

Team Groudon SWAT returns to the square beaten and bruised. Apparently, the underground dungeon was more challenging than anticipated. Team Meanies shows up and tries to dishearten everyone in an attempt to take control, but Bulbasaur delivers a speech that fills everyone with hopes. And so, Team PokePals is chosen to go underground. We will now shift to a scene late in the night, when Pikachu is sleeping...

33
The Magma Cavern

That night, Pikachu slept softly and soundly. He thought of how Alakazam was, trapped in a cavern where he might never come out of again, all alone down there.

Just as he finally stopped thinking about these things, he found himself in the magic green room once again. "I'm in that dream again," he said. Then, Gardevoir's spirit began to appear. "Hello, Gardevoir." said Pikachu.

Gardevoir became completely visible. "It's tomorrow, isn't it?" she said. "That you take to the underground dungeon." "Yeah," Pikachu sighed. "I wish I wasn't so worried, but they make it sound like one terrible place. I wonder if we'll be OK."

"You will be fine," Gardevoir said with encouragement. "I am certain that you will succeed, Pikachu. You have all my support. Please, go with strength." "I will. Thank you," Pikachu said. "I'm feeling a little braver now. I will go for it. By the way…Gardevoir, do you know what it's like underground? Or what Groudon is like?"

"No, I'm sorry to say," Gardevoir said sadly. "I can't envision it…" "Okay," Pikachu replied. "I thought maybe you knew something, the way you said it." "No," Gardevoir sighed, "I only wanted to give you encouragement…I'm sorry…"

"No, no! That's fine too," Pikachu said to rebuild Gardevoir's spirit. "I'm happy you tried to cheer me up. Thank you, Gardevoir."

"But," said Gardevoir, "There is one thing I can foresee." "Really?" Pikachu said. "Yes. Your role is coming to its end, little by little." "My role…is ending?" asked Pikachu. "You became a Pikachu in order to fulfill a certain role, and that role itself brought you here."

She started to disappear. "Now, that role is finally drawing to its conclusion." "Gardevoir, tell me! What is my role? Why did I become Pikachu?" "When the time comes," Gardevoir said as she faded, "I think I can finally tell you when this adventure is finished. Au revoir…" And she faded away, just as morning's light came.

Waking up, Pikachu thought hard about what he had heard. His role was coming to an end. But what was it? He could not answer that until the truth was told. When he went outside, he found his companions standing there.

"Good morning, Pikachu!" Charmander said. "Did you sleep well? OK, this is it! Let's do our best and save my dad and Team ACT!" And they started off. But Pikachu stopped for a moment.

"Gardevoir said she will tell me everything when this adventure is over," Pikachu said to himself. "Is going underground the adventure she meant? Will she tell me if we rescue Alakazam's team?"

"Hello!" Bulbasaur called. "Are you still asleep? Let's get going already!" And they headed off, with the right amount of supplies and determination they needed.

When they arrived, they saw huge amounts of magma gushing from the sides like honey. Ahead was the dark entrance. "This must be it," said Pikachu. "Groudon is in this underground cavern." "Whew! Look at the steams of lava,"

Bulbasaur panted. "It'll be scorching hot in this dungeon. And lots of Fire types." "There should be other rescue teams making their way through here even now," Charmander said. ""Let's try our best like always!" With their final doubts cleared, they went in.

The Magma Cavern was huge. 26 floors of dangerous Pokémon and tons of flowing magma awaited our heroes as they entered. But they knew the life of Team ACT was in their hands, so they took that chance.

On the first 7 floors, they found an even stronger item than the Iron Thorns-Silver Spikes. They used these to take down the Nidokings, Nidoqueens, and Sandshrews. The Raticates kept fleeing with their cowardly nature.

The first few floors were easy trekking. Then, the area started to change, and more lava began to appear. With that, Pokémon such as Graveler, Magmar, Mawile, and Arbok began to burden circumstances.

Thankfully, when Team PokéPals conserved their food items, there were Silver and Red Gummies (Charmander's favorite) to munch on. They also collected more money and Silver Spikes.

Magcargos were also annoying. They kept using Yawn to put our heroes to sleep. Bulbasaur complained that all these Pokémon were evil and that they were involved in some kind of whacked-out conspiracy to use the disasters to take over the world.

Rhydons were very trying on them too with their Lightningrod ability. But the dungeon was almost completed.

On the last few floors, poisonous Grimers used their Sludge attacks, Sandslashs swiped at them, and Golems batted at them like angry wasps.

But no matter what the burden was, finally, after traveling 23 floors, the weary rescuers found a rest stop. They rested up, regained PP and belly filling, and continued.

Only one floor of Onix and Steelix remained, but it was still a daunting floor. They took out those giants and collected the money scattered around the floor. At last, they climbed the stairs.

When they came to the second floor, Pikachu said, "Let's see…I wonder where we are." "I'm certain we've come quite far already," Charmander replied. "Wherever we are, Groudon's sure to be nearby," warned Bulbasaur, "Be aware of your surroundings!"

As if on cue, a small earthquake shook the cavern floor. After a bit, it settled down. "Whew! It's over!" sighed Charmander. Than he gasped. "Guys, look! Over there!"

Over near the entrance to the final floor were the weak souls of Charizard and Tyranitar. They ran over as fast as possible. "Dad!" cried Charmander. "Are you OK?!"

"Uuuurgh," moaned his father. "What happened to you?" asked his concerned son. "We…challenged Groudon…and wiped out…" "G-Groudon?!" Bulbasaur said with disbelief. "Gurrgh…We..It crushed us…" Tyranitar gasped.

"But where's Alakazam? What happened to him?!" Pikachu said urgently. "Alakazam is still…fighting Groudon…" groaned Tyranitar. "Guys, we've got to hurry!" cried Pikachu, and they ran off to the entrance.

"Be careful!" Charizard warned before falling unconscious. He really hoped they would.

Suspenseful, isn't this chapter? Tomorrow...the fight with the Continent Pokemon begins!

Chapter 34/Groudon Showdown

34
Groudon Showdown

Alakazam panted as he wearily waited for Groudon to attack. After what he had seen so far, he was truly shocked. He had to admit, this Pokémon knew strategy more than most.

He knew that at any second, it would burst from the magma beneath and attack. His psychic instinct warned him so.

Team PokéPals came in to find him at the end of the room. "It's Alakazam! Are you OK?!" cried Pikachu. "Hm! So it's you!" he said. Just then, the ground shook up and down.

"Stay back!" warned the Psychic Pokémon. "This opponent…is no laughing matter!" Just then, a red flash blinded him, and then, a giant white flash occurred. "Grgaaaaaah!" "Here it comes!" Alakazam groaned. "Coming…?" asked Bulbasaur. "W-where?!"

But before he could answer, Alakazam gave a giant cry of pain. "Wraaaah!" "Alakazam, no!" When the flash faded, he was gone. "He's gone!" cried Bulbasaur. "Maybe he was defeated!" Charmander said.

Just then, that shaking occurred. "Gulp…it's our turn next," Charmander gulped. "But…I'm not going down without a fight!" "Neither am I!" Pikachu said. "Count me in!" declared Bulbasaur. Than, they heard Groudon's roar. "Team PokéPals! Let's do our best!" Pikachu yelled.

They saw the rocks far ahead of them move. Then, the ground rose and burst, as a magma-covered, red-plated Pokémon burst from its hot depths. They knew it was Groudon, and what they had to do.

The fight began, reader. Bulbasaur cast a Razor Leaf at Groudon, hitting it hard in the stomach. The beast roared and stepped closer. Pikachu threw a Silver Spike, Charmander cast a Flamethrower, and Bulbasaur did Razor Leaf again. Groudon now used an Earthquake. "Agh!" Pikachu cried. The attack hurt him more as an Electric type Pokémon.

In return for that, he attacked with Quick Attack. Groudon was now in full-attack range. It swung its tail and smacked Charmander and Bulbasaur aside so it could focus on Pikachu. Pikachu dodged a lethal Slash attack and tackled Groudon.

But the Ground type simply used Mud Shot, weakening Pikachu. Pikachu gasped. He was too weak to do anything right at this instant. Groudon then lost interest in Pikachu and attacked Charmander with a Mud Slap and Slash. "Gyaah!" cried Pikachu's friend. Now the little Fire type was even weaker than before!

Pikachu looked in the Toolbox and pulled out an Oran Berry. For a brief period, he thought of eating it, but then he decided no. Instead, he wound up his arm, and prepared to chuck the Berry right at Charmander.

But his partner saw this and said, "No! Stop! I've got an idea!" He then used a powerful Flamethrower, but this time, it hurt Groudon a lot more than anticipated.

Pikachu then realized something. "Did you…" he asked. "Yep! My Blaze ability does 1.5 more damage than usual since I'm below ¼ HP!"

Groudon realized this, and instantly went over to attack Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur was alredy at below one-fourths of HP as well, and after seeing what happened, got what the plan was. He cast a Razor Leaf at Groudon, causing more damage than usual.

Groudon was now insanely weak. It roared, and used Slash on Pikachu, knocking him out. "Noooo! Pikachu!" cried Charmander. But then, a miracle happened. A yellow beam struck the air, and Pikachu was revived!

"Good thing we have lots of Reviver Seeds, huh, Charmander?" laughed Pikachu. "Now let's finish this battle once and for all! With that, all of them attacked with Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, and Razor Leaf, hitting Groudon hard...

Phew! Nothing like a battle royale to get your sweat a-rolling, eh?

Chapter 35 (The Sky Mission Begins)

35
After Groudon

Groudon recoiled in agony. This fight had been too much for its massive and heavy body. It gave a roar, twirled, and collapsed.

Just as it collapsed, the bodies of Alakazam, Charizard, and Tyranitar magically appeared in front of it. "Look! It's Team ACT!" Bulbasaur cried. "And all of them! Alakazam, Charizard, and Tyranitar!"

"Urrrgh!" groaned Tyranitar. They struggled, and stood up. Then they turned to see the defeated Groudon. "Did you do it? Did you defeat Groudon?" Charizard asked. "Are you okay, dad?" asked Charmander. "Yes, my son," Charizard said wearily. "A little bruised, perhaps, but…I'm fine."

"We are fine as well," Alakazam said. "We will be all right. But we must get out immediately." "What about Groudon?" asked Pikachu. "Will it be OK?"

"Yes," Alakazam said. "Don't worry. You concern is unneeded. It will awaken soon enough. It had only lost control because it was angry from having its sleep disturbed. It should calm down."

Just then, one last earthquake shook the place. "Everyone out!" Alakazam said. And they quickly left the Magma Cavern.

Having quelled Groudon, Team PokéPals left the dungeon and returned to Pokémon Square together with Alakazam's team. And in the square, everyone still waited for Pikachu to return.

Though they had tried, they couldn't conquer the dungeon. So now they waited for Pikachu's return. "Is Pikachu almost there?" asked Lombre. "Look, here they come!" Caterpie cried. "It's true, darlings!" said Octillery. "Let's go!" They and the huge Pokémon crowd gathered together.

And they saw the rescuers enter with Team ACT. "Great work, Pikachu!" Shiftry cheered. "Awesome job!" "You really took down that Groudon?!" said Golem is disbelief. "Darlings, it's fantastic!" Octillery sang. "You have won me over!"

"W-whoa!" Pikachu cried. "Wait a second! How does everyone know what happened underground?" Caterpie explained. "Pelipper spread the word with an extra edition of Pokémon News." "You bunch became stronger than I suspected! Hahahaha!" laughed Shiftry. "You can be proud of it!" agreed Golem. "You lot did great!" Blastoise boomed. "Why don't we team up sometime? Gahahahaha!"

Alakazam then spoke. "You've earned everyone's respect now," he said proudly. "Your Team PokéPals is a first-class rescue team. Take pride in that, Pikachu, Charmander…and Bulbasaur." "Sniffle…Pikachu!" sobbed Charmander. "I can't believe it! Everything we experienced…it was all worthwhile!"

"Would you look at that!" laughed Blastoise. "I didn't think anyone who could take down that Groudon could be such a crybaby! Gahahahaha!" Everyone laughed at that cheeky remark.

Just as nothing else was happening, a white flash and beeping sound came from a mysterious direction. "Huh?" Lombre said. "What was that? I thought I heard something just for a moment…Did I just imagine it?" Then it happened again.

"No," said Caterpie. "I heard it too." "Me, too…" said Octillery. "Even now, it hear it…" "Is someone talking?" asked Golem. "I'm not sure."

It happened again. "This voice…" said Pikachu. "I've heard it before…this voice…I'm sure…That's it! It's Xatu!" "Xatu?" asked Alakazam.

Then he realized, "Ah, that's it! Telepathy! Xatu is calling out to us using telepathy!" When the next beep came, a voice said, "To all Pokémon! Calling all Pokémon! Terrible, it is! From the sky…falls a star!"

Xatu was sitting on his peak back at the Hill of the Ancients. "From the sky comes a star! It is huge…a giant of a star! The star, it falls straight to our world!"

Up in the sky, his large sight saw the falling meteor. Flames burned furiously from it as its giant rumbling shook the sky.

Xatu sighed. "Disasters in nature…there were many. The balance of the world has been upset deeply…all because of the star. The star that draws closer. If it continues on its path, it will crash into the Mystery Dungeon Realm. It shall be terrible. Something must be done…"

Back at the square, Alakazam spoke. "Xatu," he said, "Tell us. Can the falling star be stopped?" Xatu's reply came. "……There is but one way. To prevent the collision, there is but one solution. You must ask Rayquaza."

"Rayquaza?" Blastoise boomed. "What might that be?" "A Pokémon, living far above us in the sky. Legendary, it is. Rayquaza must be asked to destroy the star from the sky. However, far, far up in the sky lives Rayquaza. It is known by few and seen by none."

"The sky…How are we to go there?" asked Alakazam. "You and I could amplify our Teleport together…and send Pokémon to the sky. However, the sky is a world above the clouds. What will become of the Pokémon sent to the sky? Even I can guess nothing."

Charmander decided this was the chance to regain peace. "Then, we'll do it!" he said. "We'll go to the sky!" Alakazam thought. "I also…" he began. "I also thought there could be none but you. But…are you sure? There's no telling what you would find in that world above the clouds."

Charmander wasn't afraid. "We expect danger!" he declared. "It's my wish that all Pokémon can live in peace!" Then, Xatu replied, "Team PokéPals. Do you hear? This is Xatu. Discuss, we will, Alakazam and I, about how our Teleport can be amplified. Your departure is tomorrow. Rest you should until then. One last word for you. Dangerous your adventure will be. But you must not fail at any cost. Surpass yourselves."

"No problem! We'll be fine!" Bulbasaur said. "Let's do this!"

First, Pikachu went through the town, buying all the necessary items and preparing for their great mission. They now had everyone's support, so they were certain they could do this quest.

When he was finished, he informed his friends. "Yup, looks like we're ready to go!" Charmander said. "We'll leave tomorrow for the sky. Until then, you'd better plenty of rest for tomorrow."

"Okay," Pikachu said. "I know we can do this. So let's do our best!" And they were prepared to.

Starting tomorrow, their greatest challenge ever would come. All they could do was let time handle its course.

So that meteor was responsible for all the disasters happening. Hmmm...well, what do you think? Can Team PokePals convince Rayquaza to destroy the star? Will the reason of Pikachu's coming be finally revealed? And what of Gengar, the shady Team Meanies leader? Is he up to something, even now? Find out more unraveling secrets in the next chapter of PMD: The Story of Team PokePals!

Chapter 36

In this chapter, we finally learn why Pikachu came here.

36
Pikachu's Purpose

That night, Pikachu took a deep breath before going to bed. He hoped he and his friends would be all right. The fate of the Mystery Dungeon Realm rested in his team's hands. He would just have to prove he was the leader he was sent here to be.

Later that night, Pikachu found himself in a dream again. But this time, it was different. "Urrrgh…I feel horrible…" he moaned. He was in a dark purple room. It was identical to the green one, but it was dark, and he heard voices of despair calling his name.

Pain racked his entire body. "This is a dream, isn't it?" said Pikachu. "But why do I feel this terrible…? This is the first time….Argggh!" He twisted and turned in agony.

While he cried out in pain in his unrestful slumber, the dark figure of Gengar stood in front of his bed of straw. The Ghost Pokémon obviously enjoyed torturing poor Pikachu.

"How do you like my Dream Eater?" asked Gengar. "Horrible, isn't it? Kekeh! But who would've thought you were human before? I didn't expect that," he added. Then he laughed. "But who cares? Someone like that's bound to be lowlife! Kekeh! I'll expose you yet! I'll expose what's in your heart with Dream Eater! Kekekeh!"

Just then, he felt a strange feeling. "Hm? Someone's coming?!" Then, he heard a twinkling sound. He looked to where the sound was coming from. He saw a brilliant white star coming towards Pikachu. It was beautiful to look at. Twinkles of light burst from its center.

"What's that light?!" Gengar snapped. "It's coming closer!" Scared, he backed away. Then, when it came further close, he ran away completely in fear. The light enveloped Pikachu.

Inside the dream, Pikachu stirred. The pain appeared to be subsiding. A giant white light flashed through the room, and the purple shades faded to a light green. Everything was normal again. "Gardevoir? Are you there?" asked Pikachu. Gardevoir's spirit began to appear clearly to Pikachu. "Yes, young one."

"Gardevoir, will you tell me now?" asked Pikachu. "Who or what I am?" "Yes," said Gardevoir, "The time has arrived. Why have you come here? I will tell you everything there is to know. Pikachu, you have…come here to save the Mystery Dungeon Realm."

Pikachu couldn't believe his long ears. "I've come to save the world of Pokémon?" he asked. "Yes. We learned that the Mystery Dungeon Realm faced extinction. And so we sought a hero. But though we searched, nowhere could we find our hero. We were becoming discouraged. When we came across a human boy. We appeared to him in the form of a glowing blue orb. Pikachu, you were that human."

"Wha-What?! Me a hero?" Pikachu cried. "Wait a second! Hero? Me? That's too much! I'm not anything special like that!" Gardevoir laughed. "Yes, that is also what you said the first time we met. Right after you disappeared into the light of the orb, you met us and told us that. You said you were not strong. But what we sought was not power merely for display. We sought true courage and a virtuous soul."

"True courage?" asked Pikachu. "I don't know about that. I'm feeling less confident about that." "That, too is what you said when we met," laughed Gardevoir. "It was then that you said this. Too see if you were worthy to be our hero or not, you asked that we put you to the test. And only if you were found to be truly worthy, then you were to be told the truth. To fulfill your role clear of heart and mind, you chose to erase your memory as a human, and become a Pokémon of your own will to fight alongside your friends. We then gave you a personality test to determine which Pokémon you should be. Your partners were chosen by your two favorite Pokémon…"

"Charmander and Bulbasaur…" finished Pikachu. "And that, Pikachu," said Gardevoir, "Is how you came to be in this world." "I did all that…" Pikachu said with disbelief.

"Your courage has been proven," Gardevoir confirmed. "Without question, you bear the role of saving the world. And that role…is soon coming to its end." "So stopping the meteor from crashing into this world is my role."

"Yes," said Gardevoir, "And when that role is accomplished, you can return to your human world." Pikachu gasped. "Wait! But that means…" "Yes. It means parting ways with Charmander and Bulbasaur."

"Why do I have to leave?" Pikachu asked miserably. "Your human life cannot just be left behind that easily," Gardevoir said. "So after this adventure is done, you must go back. The spirits think being a human is where you belong. However…Charmander and Bulbasaur both feel great kinship with you, Pikachu. So if you were to leave, then they would be heartbroken. But it cannot be helped, I'm afraid. Because there are encounters, there are also farewells."

She then sighed. "I, too once had a friend beyond value. His name...was Wally. He was strong and virtuous, and I truly cherished the friendship we shared. But my friend has gone away. He was such a wonderful boy…it fills my heart with sadness still, losing Wally. But…I think that if I wish very strongly, we may meet again. That is what I believe."

There was a small flash of light. "W-what was that?!" cried Pikachu. "I wonder the same thing. Someone appears to have been looking into your dream. But it is fine now. Whoever it was ran off. All that remains in this dream is a feeling of sadness. That Pokémon…I think it ran off crying."

Then she started to fade. "It will be morning soon. Au revoir," she said. With that, she faded completely. Pikachu had no questions now. His destiny was clear to him now.

Wow! What a chapter! We finally know Pikachu came here to save the Mystery Dungeon Realm, and that Gardevoir's human partner...was WALLY?!

Yup, Wally from R/S/E became Gengar after a series of daunting events. I intend to post a short story explaining this. Hope you enjoyed this chapter. Tomorrow, it's off to the Sky Tower!

It's not that original. It's like, a copy of the game. Probably better than I would have done, though.

Well, the fact he's written 36 chapters is quite impressive in my books. :) Although I too would of liked some seperate missions from the main storyliine. :)

Thanks, lilninjaig. I'm glad all you readers like reading the story. Sorry I haven't seemed that original with my story. But I'm just not inventive that fast. But I can tell you this. Pikachu's journey is getting bigger and bigger, and soon, it'll all come to an end...or will it?

Yeah, I have to agree... 36 chapters is better than how I would have done by miles. If you make the end a little different than how MD ends, I think thid will be one heck of a fan-fiction. :)

Sorry- but I have to mini-mod. QUADRUBPLE POST!!!

Well, I will say this. Pikachu does have a lot more emotion about what happens near the end.

Chapter 37

Here we go! Team PokePals's big mission in the sky begins now!

37
Off To The Sky

Pikachu arose bright and early as dawn came upon his tiny little black eyes. He yawned and gave a big stretch. This was it.

He would save the world and all those lived in it, or die. But he would not do it alone. Charmander and Bulbasaur would fight with him to the very end.

He went outside and waited for his friends to arrive. After a few minutes, Charmander and Bulbasaur arrived at the gate. "Good morning!" said Charmander. "Did you sleep well? This is it!"

"We're off to the sky!" declared Bulbasaur. "Yes," said Pikachu. "Let's go." And they left for the Hill of the Ancients, where Alakazam and Xatu were waiting.

When they came to the peak, they found the two Psychic Pokémon standing there. "Ah, good of you three to come," said Alakazam. "Kwaaaaaaaaah!" screeched Xatu.

"What's going on?" asked Pikachu. "What is Xatu doing?" "It is almost ready," said Alakazam. "The Teleport Gem." "The Teleport Gem?" asked Bulbasaur. Xatu gave a final cry, and used all of his power.

Then, he turned and held the glowing green jewel in his wings. "It is made," he said. "This is the Teleport Gem. This is the key to delivering you to the world of the sky. Now, Pikachu! Accept this Teleport Gem!" Pikachu nodded and came forward to accept the gem.

"That was made using the powers of psychics," explained Xatu. "By me, Alakazam, and…" He looked around. "A Ghost-type Pokémon. We received help from it. It seems to have gone away."

"Who could it be?" asked Bulbasaur. "Hahahaha!" laughed Alakazam. "It must be a bashful type. Let it be." Then he grew serious again. "Now," he said, "I must ask you this one last time. This journey will be fraught with considerable danger. Will you still go?"

"Of course we will!" said Charmander. "We have to get Rayquaza to destroy that falling star, right? If that will bring peace, I'll gladly give my life for it! That's all I wish."

Pikachu sighed. And when that wish came true, Gardevoir had said he had to return to the human world. "This will be my last adventure with Charmander and Bulbasaur," he thought with a heavy sigh.

"Alright, Team PokéPals! Let's get this done!" said Charmander. Pikachu nodded along with Bulbasaur. "We're counting on you, Team PokéPals!" said Alakazam.

Pikachu held out the Teleport Gem in his hand. Charmander and Bulbasaur came up to it. "Here's to hoping we come back alive," gulped Bulbasaur. Pikachu and Charmander laughed. The gem's light enveloped all three of our heroes, and they descended into the sky, while Alakazam and Xatu watched.

"I knew this day would come," said Alakazam quietly. "I always knew he was the one. I only wish I knew...there was something else..." "I know," said Xatu. "All we can do now is wait for the young ones to prosper in their quest." They were silent as they watched our heroes disappear.

Finally, the rescuers landed hard on some clouds. "Ouch!" squealed Bulbasaur. "Where are we?" Then he gasped. "Whoa! This is cool! We're on top of clouds!" Charmander walked around and jumped on them. They felt bouncy and happy to him. Then he gasped. "Guys, look! Way up there!"

A majestic tower made out of clouds reached up towards the heavens. It seemed to go on forever. "Isn't that tower cool?" asked Pikachu. "If it didn't go so far up, it would be cooler," groaned Bulbasaur.

"Well, Rayquaza's at the top of this tower, so the best we can do is carry on," Charmander said. "Let's do our best on the climb!" And they went in, regardless of fear or doubt.

Tomorrow, we'll view our heroes' trek up the Sky Tower. Will thye make it to the top?

Mini-Mod: DOUBLE POST!

more emotion? i like the sounds of that... that chapter was actually rather good. *thumbs up*

Thanx, Dawn. If you liked that chapter, you're gonna LOVE the rest of the story. It includes a high-action packed battle, a sad moment, and...well, I'm saying too much.

Chapter 38

38
The Sky Tower

The Sky Tower was a lot more challenging than what had been anticipated by our heroes. Tons of high-level Ghost and Flying types patrolled the dungeon like soldiers constantly on the march.

This dungeon was going to be the toughest of all the challenges that Pikachu, Charmander, and Bulbasaur ever had faced. But it was the power of their friendship and teamwork that helped them through the dungeon.

The first 6 floors consisted of a few Pokémon that were a little tougher than average. For examples, Shedinjas couldn't be hit with normal attacks, so the team had to use their thrown items to knock them out.

Not that they were good fighters. In fact, the Shedinjas were absolutely pathetic. Shuppets were a different matter. They could pass through walls and attack from there without even being hurt. The team had to lure a Shuppet outside the walls to beat it.

Forretresses used Selfdestruct whenever they liked, causing massive damage to our heroes' HP. Thankfully, this also weakened them, and thanks to thrown items, they were taken out.

Team PokéPals wanted to conserve their PP and Belly as much as they could. This way, they could use their moves on the tougher Pokémon that awaited them. Pokémon like Masquerain and Lunatone were okay to use moves on too, as long as they didn't use the moves too often.

On the next few floors, Duskulls swarmed in. They were nasty, annoying Pokémon. Their Curse attack took away a lot of HP. But because they knew the area well, Team PokéPals decided to recruit one onto their rescue team.

Koffings were a pain in the neck as well. Their Poison attacks were hard to evade. Later, Ledians came along. They were pretty protective Pokémon, for they were always using Reflect and Light Screen. But Charmander's Fire-attacks put them down no matter what.

Altarias started appearing on the dungeon too. Bulbasaur bravely battled them without fear. But sometimes this was a problem. Bulbasaur was always trying to be the first one to attack the Bird Pokémon, that he got the real brunt of their fury. Luckily, Pikachu's Thundershock was all that was needed to take them down.

Now, Scizors started to pop up with Solrocks. Bulbasaur soon became more concerned about Venomoths. Their Silver Winds could take out a Grass type in one shot. Luckily, they never got to use them.

Dusclops had the Pressure ability, taking away every 2 PP used against it. This dungeon was becoming more and more challenging. Team PokéPals was beginning to think they would never reach the end.

The team soon found another enemy in Aerodactyl, a Pokémon that was fond of using Ancientpower, Agility, and Supersonic. This was one of the speediest Pokémon the rescuers had ever encountered, so knocking them out was the most frustrating tasks.

Bulbasaur said that he wished they had climbed the side of the tower instead. To that, Charmander joked that they would only get Bulbasaur another phobia, a fear of heights.

The team got really hungry now. That's when the extra Big Apples came in handy. They were no longer famished, so they continued their journey up the tower.

Finally, they came to a rest stop, where they regained lost HP and PP. They were all set for the last set of floors. First, they sent Duskull to the Darkness Ridge Friend Area.
The last 9 floors were nearly devastating. New Pokémon like Metagross and Claydol rolled in, and giant Salamences attacked with Ember.

Plus, the mazes which had the stairs hidden in them were enormous, so it took some time to find them. But though the Pokémon were tough and the time was consuming, Pikachu and his friends finally, on the 8th floor, found the entrance to the final floor.

They ate their Apples and Max Elixirs, refreshing themselves. They were ready for anything that came.

Wow! What a challenging dungeon! Tomorrow, Rayquaza awaits!

Chapter 39

Here it is, folks! Our heroes meet Rayquaza, who is surprisingly, a little stubborn. Read on and enjoy!

39
Rayquaza-The Lord of the Sky

The top of the Sky Tower was a majestic sight. The clouds held them above the ground two thousand feet below. If you looked up, you could see the ozone layer and all beyond that point.

"Is this the top floor?" asked Bulbasaur. "Must be," Charmander said. "I wonder where Rayquaza is." Just then, a white flash occurred. "Who goes there?! Who dares to trespass upon my sacred airspace?!"

The three jumped in surprise. Then they looked around. "That voice…" said Charmander, "Could that voice be Rayquaza's?" The voice responded. "Indeed I am. The sky is my domain. You must depart at once."

Pikachu stepped up. "But we don't have the time to argue," he insisted, "We came here because we need your help." "Never!" snapped the voice bitterly.

Then, they heard a "Gyaaaaaaaaaaah!" and saw a giant green Dragon-type Pokémon land on the clouds. "I am a being of the sky," boomed the legendary Pokémon, "And you are but denizens of the ground. To each, there is a world destined as their own! For hundreds of millions of years, never once have I descended to the ground! And the opposite shall also hold true! Let there be no mercy for those that defy the laws of nature! Prepare for the end!" he roared.

It was then that the rescuers knew that they would have to fight Rayquaza in order to calm it down. But they would have to end the fight quickly. The star was coming closer to the sky, and they didn't have much time.

Pikachu used a swift Quick Attack on the unsuspecting Rayquaza. Angered, he moved into full attack range. This was their chance.

Pikachu cast out a Thunderbolt, Charmander responded with Metal Claw, and Bulbasaur used Sleep Powder to put Rayquaza to rest. Pikachu and Charmander did their same moves and Bulbasaur used Razor Leaf. They only got to do this one time more after that.

Rayquaza awoke and used Dragon Dance to increase his speed. He did this two more times, and at quadruple speed, used an Ancientpower on Charmander, and used Dragon Claw on Pikachu.

Bulbasaur saw this and tried to cast a Sleep Powder on Rayquaza, but it missed him. "I'll make sure you don't leave me open to any more damage!" hissed Rayquaza, and he snatched Bulbasaur up in his claws.

Then, he flew high up into the air. "Let Bulbasaur go!" yelled Pikachu. "Never!" roared Rayquaza, and flew higher. Bulbasaur looked down and to his terror found out exactly how high he was. Screaming, he cried, "Somebody, please!! Help me!!! Aaaaauuuuuuuuugh!"

"You be quiet, you little overworked twerp!" snapped Rayquaza, and he started flying down towards them. "Now you'll get a taste of what my Fly attack feels like!" he said. "And with a Pokémon of your type, it shouldn't be hard taking you down!"

Pikachu had an idea. "Bulbasaur! Use your Vine Whip to snag Rayquaza's wings! Then let go when you're near the clouds!" "I can't!" Bulbasaur said. "He's holding my bulb!" "You can do it, Bulbasaur!" Charmander said. "We believe in you!"

Fueled by those words of faith, Bulbasaur gave a hard chomp on Rayquaza's claw. "Gyaaah!" Rayquaza let go and Bulbasaur instantly shot out his Vine Whip and snagged the wings.

Then he climbed up the vines and gained control of Rayquaza's flight. Steering Rayquaza right towards Pikachu, he cried, "Pikachu! Look out!" and leapt off.

But Pikachu didn't run. He ran straight for Rayquaza. The two Pokémon ran straight for each other…and collided. Pikachu was knocked aside by the force of Rayquaza's massive body. Rayquaza stopped in midair.

He was horrified. He couldn't move. He felt immobilized as lightning sparks surrounded him. "Good thing I've got my Static ability," Pikachu said. "Otherwise I wouldn't have made up that plan!"

Now that Rayquaza was paralyzed, now was the time. Pikachu used Thunderbolt, Charmander used Flamethrower, and Bulbasaur used a fierce Razor Leaf. The result of these moves lies on the next chapter.

(Phew!) My blood is rushing just from posting that!

Well, for those of you that played the game, you'll probably know what comes next. I think today, I might post the next chapter. I don't mean to break the rules, but it's only a matter of time before this story is over. Post your opinions and i'll think about waiting. Until then, at ease!

Chapter 40(Tons of spoilers)

40
The Star's Destruction

Rayquaza shook from the massive and devastating force of the attacks just launched at him. In pain, he howled, "Gyaaaaaaaaah!" twirled, and collapsed and lay still.

But only for a few seconds. Empowered by his will to destroy his enemies, he stood up and prepared to attack.

Just at that moment, the sky began to shake with mysterious vibrations. The clouds were becoming a little unstable.

"What is this?!" cried Charmander. "An earthquake?! It's not possible! We're on top of clouds!" Rayquaza looked at them. "These are shock waves!" he exclaimed. "And they're huge!"

Pikachu then realized something. "That's it!" he cried. "I got it! Look straight up, Rayquaza!" He did. And he was shocked.

The meteor was coming fast towards the earth like a falling bowling ball, only with more disastrous results. Its flames were burning hotter than ever, and its shock waves were growing stronger.

Rayquaza couldn't believe his eyes. "What is that?!" he exclaimed. "It's a shooting star!" Bulbasaur explained. "And it's enormous! It will destroy the world if it continues on its path! That's why we came, Rayquaza. Please destroy the falling star!" Rayquaza sighed. "So that is why," he said.

"Yes! Please hurry and destroy it!" cried Pikachu. But Rayquaza was thinking about something. "Before I try," he replied, "I need to know your resolve. Because of my stubborn decision to not listen to you, the star has come too close. If I were to loose my Hyper Beam here…you would not escape unscathed!"

"That doesn't matter!" Charmander said. "We accepted that from the start!" "Well said!" Rayquaza answered. Beams of yellow energy started to form in his mouth. He was prepared to launch.

"Take charge of your destiny!" he said. With those words, he cast his Hyper Beam. The yellow beam's power started to dig its way through the hard layers of the falling star. It began to flash madly. Finally, it exploded…

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
The rescuers disappeared in the giant explosion of light.

Pikachu groaned in pain. He was in a gray-filled place. No one was there. "Is this a dream?" he asked himself. "No, this is no dream. The star's explosion swallowed me…and now I'm adrift as a spirit…What's going to happen?"

There was a small flash, and a dark figure stood in front of Pikachu. "This shadow…" moaned Pikachu, "Gengar…" But he was too weak to react.

Gengar cackled evilly. "Kekeh! Well, well, Pikachu! Didn't take too much to put your miserable hide down! It serves you right, anyways! Kekeh! After all the trouble you've caused me and Team Meanies…how you humiliated me, burdened me, and everything bad you did to my life, now those crimes are being repaid for. Think of it as retribution. Now what do with you…that is the question."

Then a twisted grin came onto his face. "I know! I'll drag you into the dark world! That'll do it! Kekeh!" "No, wait…" begged poor Pikachu, but Gengar had already grabbed Pikachu's tiny feet and started dragging him across the empty area.

Gengar said…he would drag me into the dark world, thought Pikachu. But what is the dark world? Am I going to be abandoned in a world I don't know? He could say nothing. He could only wait.

Gengar kept dragging Pikachu. Suddenly, he stopped. "Huh?" He looked around and pouted. "Darn it…I took the wrong path." "What?" asked Pikachu. The Ghost type didn't listen. "This isn't like me," he grumbled. "I can't tell which way is which."

Then he looked with disgust at Pikachu. "Humph! To heck with this!" he snapped. "I'll just ditch you here." Then he smiled. "That's it, then. Good bye to you," he said with a smile. Then he left Pikachu there. And that is the last time we will see him in this story.

"Is he awake?" "Hello, can you hear me?" "Pikachu!"
Pikachu opened his tired eyes. Next to him were his friends Charmander and Bulbasaur. They were surrounded by the town's citizens. "Huh? This place…" Pikachu mumbled.

Suddenly, Charmander and Bulbasaur woke up and stood up. "They've regained consciousness!" Alakazam said. Pikachu then stood up, too. "I'm sure of it," he said, "I'm sure…Back there, Gengar saved me." "So, Gengar saved all three of us?" Charmander said. "I wonder why?"

Pikachu then came to an epiphany. Gengar had been the Ghost type that had helped make the Teleport Gem. And he was the Pokemon who helped Pikachu get back here. Was he the Pokemon who had looked into his last dream? It was hard to tell if he did it out of guilt...or perhaps, something deeper.

Whatever the reason, Pikachu, being the kind hero that he is, was grateful. He said a little prayer. "Thank you for helping us, wherever you are...Wally." At that moment, Pikachu thought he saw a shadow crying. But when he blinked again, it was gone. Pikachu knew it was Gengar, and was glad for all his help. Maybe someday they would meet again.

The crowd came in closer. "Awesome! You're alive!" cried Lombre happily. "You really had all of us worried!" "You were incredible!" said Octillery. "Snivel…" Caterpie sighed, "I'm so glad you're safe! It's fantastic!"

Pikachu sighed. "Everyone, thank you!" Bulbasaur was concerned about something. "But…" he began, "What about the star?! What happened to it?!"

Just then, they heard Xatu squawk loudly. "Kwaaaaaah!" Xatu then turned to them. "Fear not. The star is no more. Though it will not be right away…the disasters will be calmed."

Those words that had been spoken…they told promises of eternal tranquility that they had been fighting so long for. "Yes!" Charmander cried. "Hooray! We did it guys! We've won peace!"

Yes! The Mystery Dungeon Realm has been saved! Team PokePals won! But that means Pikachu now has to...

Well, I'm done with that chapter. I feel so happy that things have been set right. Guys, since there's only two chapters left, can I post the rest later today?
