FireRed hack: Pokemon NeoRocket Thieves

Well, you DO know that there is actually such thing as "the Neo Team Rockets", right? :P

Actually, by another game, I mean it looks like it wasn't made by Nintendo. It just... doesn't look natural. First of all, the pose is weird. He's fat. He doesn't have any black outline. You can see that the cap is blocking his eyes, but the feel of the sprite doesn't make him a "shady guy". The "NR" is purple... doesn't go so well.

That's all I can think of right now, but how about you just change the pose of the original Team Rocket sprite? Instead of scratching, because I can see that you are not so skilled at that.

I've recently gotten into spriting and it's much more different from making lineart on paper, so I need as much criticism as I can get. Not to mention this was my first attempt at making a scratch sprite, so mistakes are to be expected. I can see what you mean about the pose, and would also like to request that you PM me any other mistakes that you see (like my shading,a s its a big adjustment to me). I'd rather be critiqued now than when the game is finished and people are actually playing it.

It's good to see you're taking it like that, Jack of Blades. Well, if you're not good at scratching, just change the pose of the original Team Rocket sprites. If you can scratch a bit, you can change the legs and arms (which is all you need anyway).

Well, if you think you're so bad then you did a good choice... you stopped doing them, or you just kept on practicing, and then you would accept job offers by people. But if you think you're bad, then don't accept job offers from people.

I'm not angry or anything, I'm just saying it's not like it's supposed to be...

Edit: Yeah, thanks Itman. I am just pointing this stuff out because, like you said, I'm an experienced spriter myself, so I know what to see in a sprite.

Anyway, i dont really like the NR sprite, exspecially if you have that sprite and the original fire red ones, its gunna stand out in the game and look weird, if all your spries were made that that, then it wuld work well. Anyway best of luck and I cant wait to see more updates.​

Progress: Before scripting Weather City, I'm going to fix all of the other glitches first (as I said before, minor ones) before continuing. Once I'm done with Weather City, I will post screens, so hold on a little longer >_<

Ooof. I'm almost done with the sprites Itman asked for. There were a lot, but I'm almost through them all. I haven't stared at a computer screen for so long in my life. Lol, I'm on one for most of my life when I get home from school. Anyway, look for them as soon as I put them into the rom for Itman. I'm off to school for a club meeting. Talk to everyone later!

Why would you steal other people's pokemon? Your against the NeoRockets...and i'm not even close to being done with the whole game. The only completed rocket game i know of is for R/B/Y.

As for updates, as soon as i finish scripting Weather City, I will post screenies (and of the D/P pokemon). Its taking a while since there was a huge bug, but i fixed it (kinda).

Sorry for this big lack of progress updates on the Grunt. This week at school has been...unsatisfactory; I've only been back 2 days and I cant wait for the weekend. Also, I have a band concert tomorrow (which ought to last a few hours). But I do have my idea for the Grunt redux, and hopefully I'll have something up this weekend.

It would be cool.
And maybe Neo Rockets should have Green/Dark Green text.
