The only problem is that when you, the protagonist, battles it, Zel would have to make it so that it was uncatchable, otherwise it would be hard to explain how lance got the red gyarados that you caught. Or else he could make it so that lance battles the gyarados instead or something, but still lance already gives you clamperl, so it'd be kinda weird for him to give you two pokemon...

Yea that's true. Perhaps he could be the secret santa of pokemon games? Well, in any case, there should be a red Gyrados, that perhaps Lance catches, and he gives you the red scale. Then later, gives you the clamperl. Or, how about replace the clamperl for the bagon? Because, the secret rocket underground is a place that not a lot of people are willing to go for, but if they hear that you get a bagon at the end, then they may become motivated to do so. Just my two cents. =)

In New Bark Town, I remember seeing a piece of text in PokeText saying
'I'm Mr. Chrono'. You should put him in the game.

In the current BETA you can't get into the ice path, so you have to wait for the next one. Sorry, but it's the sad truth, Zel will be back soon and the new BETA will be out shortly after.

Yeah i was thinking a third gen dragon pokemon as well, but im not saying yould have to battle the gyaradoes, or even see the overworld sprite, Im saying you double battle with him through a series of rocket grunts and then when you get to the lake lance says something like " You better let me take it from here" or some thing along those lines. Then he goes catches it while maybe jess and jamie come to battle with you (or it could be one of the higher ranked rockets) once again jus an idea

If he were to change all these things, wouldn't that mean having to restart the whole game altogether?

It's no big deal, but some people would find it to be a hassle.

Zel's got exams right now. He won't post for another few days. I think a week has passed since he announced us his exams, maybe one or two more days of exams left (my exams were 6 school days long)?

I think its very clear that zel is not going to include Red in b4, but its going to only include up to a least 2 or 3 Kanto gyms ready for battle, but i think Red would be included in b5, if im wrong. But zel still has a lot to go though even though Kanto is mostly set up for new events.

Actually zel has been gone for a while now, lets just wait for him return, and expect him to post saying "Well you guys did it again...:( ", plus for him being exhausted from many days of exams, and a lost of trust he has for us, to keep the thread spam free.
 
Ive got a question

Zel, will you make it so Clair will have stronger pokemon? She was very weak when I faced her in regular Gold. As well have you decided on what the old man in the Dragon's Den is going to give you when you answer his questions?

I answer one of those questions, if you want to fight Clair with stronger pokemon, then obviously download the SGX patch, and then go thru the process of fighting stronger pokemon trainers along the way. :P Until beta 4 is release though
 
I got the other answer, the questions were in Pokemon Crystal not Pokemon Gold... in Gold all you have to do is find the Dragon Fang

Maybe it wouldn't be a drastic change, but it would detract from the original gold storyline, and i'm pretty sure that Zel wants to stick to the Gold storyline as much as possible, even if it isn't a 100% remake. I'm guessing that bagon could perhaps be very rarely found in the dragon's den?
 
i don't know if it is a problem with fire red or a glitch but today i wanted to start my game
for once i didn't skip the "previously on your quest.." and it showed how i started the battle with the gyarados, now it gets strange, the game started the battle, but not as i did it when i fought it the last time, i battled with my current team against the gyarados.:surprised:
