I have read about the Pikachu behind your house but there is no pikachu behind mine O_O is it a lie or is it not in Beta 4

After cutting the tree, go to the little corner where the three trees are in the upper left-corner of you house, face your house (should be to your right at this point) and hit A. It should give you some weird dialogue about Pikachu or whatever and it'll ask whether you want to take it. Remember that you can only have 5 pokemon in your party in order to take it.

On a side note, because of all that training against Tentacools, Tentacruels, and Carvanha's, my Pikachu has been buffed from level 10 to almost level 40 and will be ready to evolve at level 41 :)

This is a big load. MY Chikaritas Tackle missed 18 freaking times in a row without the opponent using and evasion or accuaracy allteration moves. Infact its a magikarp >.>

To Zel: I hope you can go further with that Title Screen. It's good but can be better.
Optional(question?): Would you consider Solar Gold and/or Lunar Silver as the hack's title? Both colors have its relation to the celestial bodies, IMHO.

Yep, don't worry. Neos will improve it a bit more (and you know how cool Neos does title screens :D)
About the name thing, I will always stick to Shiny Gold, there's no turning back now...

I found a small glitch.

EDIT: Wtf... I could catch Celebi before actually giving the GS-Ball to Kurt!

OK, I will fix that. And the Celebi, if you started a new game, or enter Azalea from the east you would never able to catch it before travelling to Kanto. So there are no problems there, just that you did things as they would not normally done (the problem on playing older betas saves)

While surfing on the water in the Mt. Mortar area that's only accessible using Waterfall, I ran into Missingno.

Hmmm... I'll check it out and fix it, it is probable.

I have a big problem with shinygold.
I'm using beta 4 bugfix (the latest version). I am not using SGX.
I beat Bugsy, solved the Farfetch'd puzzle, and exited Ilex Forest through the exit to Goldenrod. I went into a hallway-building type thing. When I exited the hallway building through the top exit (that would lead me to Goldenrod), the screen turned black and I couldn't do anything. The music was still playing though.

I had no such problem, so I cannot fix it.

While playing the beta as the girl character i noticed that in her running sprite down her eyes have only one pixel instead of two making her look asian :P ( No offence to asians )

hey Zel, first of all, amazing hack! I love the graphics!
I would like to ask you 2 things:

- Which starters pokemons are present in b4. I have Mudkip and Charmander, who more is avaible? U dont need to tell me the locations.

- If Ice Beam, Thunderbolt and Flamethrower are tm's present in beta. Thanks!

I have not added any other starters from B3 to B4, because the next I'm gonna add will require having one of the Rods (and obviously, I will not reveal where I'm gonna hide it :P)
Those three moves are TMs, but you will not get them in an easy way (remember that Goldenrod's Casino only allows you to get the higher-less accurate versions), but, if my memory doesn't fails, you can get Ice Beam at Victory Road.

EDIT: I'm not sure if this is just me but, I patched over my old BETA.4 and when I went into certain poke-marts I appear in a small room with no doors and no place to walk stuck in 1 spot, does this happen to anyone else?

Yep, problem of "patching over a patch" (you patched over the Preview) You need to patch over a clean rom.

I say Pallet Town because after surfing onto Route 27, when you go back to New Bark it becomes Pallet Town's label *very convenient to get to Blackthorne and Mahogany if you ask me :)*

Oh well, there's a problem that I need to fix there XD

By the way, don't forget that all the next fixes will be for the Beta5, there will be no more releases.

Hey Zel, There is just a small problem at the begianing.
At the begianing of the game when your mom gives you the pokégear( VS Seeker).
Its seems to loop.When you leave the house and go back in and walk back to the stairs the event repeats. I guess it only repeats once becuze i walk in to see if it would do it again but it didn't. Just thought you would like to know. Oh, I was playing

I skimmed through some bugs, so I'm not sure if this is stated.
Once you've obtained surf, and then go back to "New Bark Town", go surf on the water, then move forward to see that you went into another route or region. Now go back to "New Bark Town". If you did this correctly, it should say "Pallet Town". Then use fly, the map was turned into the "KANTO REGION" and there should be 2 spots, "New Bark Town", and "Route (I forgot)". Fly to the Route and you end up in "Black Thorn City."

But I guess it's just another map glitch.


Also, North of "Cherry Grove City", the other house south of Mr. Pokemon's house. You can use your bike in there :P.

And further more, Gyms and Badges are like screwed up X_X.
It says I have obtained the 8th badge already, and the 7th badge as Blackthorn City(Which I'm missing since I didn't fight Claire yet)

And I believe Jasmine's Pokemon are stronger than Pryce's O_O

Hey Zel, while screwing around with beta 3.5, I found something very interesting.


I ended up accidently loaded up my fire red save for shiny gold and to my surprise, I was infront of my rival (who had the same look like your banner).

Pretty sweet lol, but I'm just curious, if I were to use a walk trhough walls code in kanto, what would happen?

I've downloaded the most recent patch, but I've already beaten Misty at Cerulean City, but don't yet have the machine part. How do I re-trigger this event? I went back to the Power Plant, but nothing happens and I've looked in the water in the gym, but found nothing. Any ideas on how to remedy this problem? I really hope I don't have to start all the way back at the Elite Four :( They were a bit hard for my Pokemon since my entire party was only level 41.

The problem is, if you already did the Amelia event in the Power Plant in the bugged beta, you will have to retake the game from an older save, because the Machine Part won't appear unless you do the Amelia event in the bugfix version.

Yep, he is right. In any time you go near the stairs, she will act like you first started the game.

Read this, guys. I tried to import a battery file from FireRed to ShinyGold(b4). My save was in Vermilion City. I used Fly to Pewter City, and lo! The view was glitchy! You can still go through it, somehow.

Zel, do you think there are different OWs that is used for the day and time-based events? I just observed that while playing the GBC version with RTC down, opening the Pokegear and switching between features. Days change like this: Monday->Friday, Wednesday->Sunday, Tuesday->Thursday->Saturday. Those have their unique event of the day (M-W: S.S. Aqua at Olivine Port, W-Su: S.S. Aqua at Vermilion Port, Tu-Th-Sa: Bug-Catching Contest). I came to think that's the reason why GSC and RSE have larger megs, would you agree?
