7 down sounds like something Team Magma would say. Dunno if it was Maxie himself or someone else in the team. Maxie fits though, lengthwise. Is it 'Maxie' ?

5 down... the first part does not ring a bell at all. Writing a novel though... 'challenger' makes me think E4... or potentially a gym leader, but someone came to mind already and it actually fits... is it 'Shauntal', Unova's Ghost E4 ?

None of the others are ringing any bells atm.

Reminds me either of Burgh or Bugsy; but I think Burgh was artist. So is it Bugsy from Johto ?

Correct on both. Would not have chosen anyone else on Team Magma, also. Considers the admins a little obscure.

Referred to N in Shauntal's quote, by the way. Could not put N in this crossword for obvious reasons.

Correct. Says this in all the Johto games (albeit with "Bug Pokemon" rather than "Bug-type Pokemon" in the earlier ones). Never appears outside the gym in Gold/Silver/Crystal.

Also correct. Spoke about Morpeko, Spikemuth, Dynamaxing, and Team Yell in a lot of better dialogue. Felt a little too obvious in those. Finds Grimmsnarl in Scarlet/Violet's DLC, at least.

Correct. Becomes a Pokemon professor during the game. Talks about Yamper, the Darkest Day, Zacian/Zamazenta, a sword/shield, or Dynamaxing in a lot of lines. Could only avoid that for so long.

Guessed the most correct answers, also. Allows you to make the next crossword or pass it off to someone else.

14 has gotta be Lt. Surge, or just Surge seems to fit into the puzzle. 5 is Shauntal, that's what she says during the cutscene before her battle, it certainly left an impression on me.
