8 down, feel like that supermarket near Masked Royal arena... Thrifty Megamart comes to mind, but... is that the name of that supermarket or is it the name of the old abandoned one where you do the ghost trial.... or were they called the same...

well at any rate it's the right length and fits with that filled in R... might as well shoot for it.

is 8 down "Thrifty Megamart" ?

7 down for some reason is making me think of Olivia's shop, but I don't remember there being an angry black Pokemon. just a Probopass. Also doesn't really fit with the vegetables part. Sounds like a shop though, one with a limited daily supply potentially. *shrugs*

8 down: Correct. Gives you a coupon for half-off purchases when you enter the building. Cannot stack a Roto Bargain power on top of that for 75% off.

Updated the crossword with the new answer.

Theme: Alola

ACROSS
2. Full of boneheads and no joy in sight.
6. Hawlucha's favored type of match. Not for peasants.

10. Get down, down, down with this move. Do not be a prima donna by insisting on repeat performances, though. Impresses the crowd much less. Calls this a move on Bulbapedia. Will never see it in battle, however.
12. A returning character from another game...or was that just a dream?

DOWN
1. The name of both a move and a place. Learns this move on a certain cat. Features said cat's face at the place. (Asks for the move, to be clear.)
3. A combination of Pokemon Snap and social media.
4. Badly prepared, yet still tasty.
5. Summons thee with fruit not Kee, spit of bee, and part of tree.
7. Went here for vegetables. Worried about the limited supply of under a dozen. Found rocks, a gem, and an angry black Pokemon instead. May have misunderstood.
8. Offers some great deals here. Banned coupon stacking, though. Do not expect Rotom to help on bargains.
9. Acts kind of like a trainer sometimes. Could be a case of "Monkey See, Monkey Do".
11. Creates kitchenware from materials off this Pokemon. Was the first Totem Pokemon ever encountered in-game in Alola too.

Hakamo-O fits there, although I am guessing that it has something to do with scales.....
Correct on Hakamo-o. Referenced the Pokedex for the first half:
Ultra Moon Pokedex said:
The scales it sheds can be molded and processed to make pots and pans. They conduct heat well, so they're a popular item.

As for the aura/Totem part: Does anyone recall the demo version of Sun/Moon? May remember it better as the source of Battle Bond Greninja. Released the demo prior to Sun/Moon. Squares off against Totem Hakamo-o near the end of the demo. (Doubled-checked it, in case of simply being a strong Pokemon. Says "You are challenged by Totem Hakamo-o!".) Makes it the first ever Totem fought by players in Alola.

Updated the crossword. Only two left.

7 is Ten Carat Hill I believe.
Correct. Meets Necrozma there in normal Sun/Moon. Grabs a Z-Crystal there too.

One clue left. Leaves one more hint on that remaining one. Consists of two words, with the 'T' from the Thrifty Megamart as the first letter of the second word.

Went a while without any guesses. Opts to just reveal the final answer and let a new crossword begin.

The answer to 10 down: Primarina Twist. Activates this Mantine Surf move by pressing Down, Down, and Down. Tried to hint at Primarina with "prima donna". Earns fewer points by repeating the move.

@ReKoil Filled in the most crossword answers. Leaves the next crossword to you, if you want to make one.

Took me a while to find time to make one.

PikachuCostume.

Incorrect. It's called differently, but it looks like you're on the right track.

1 down: Accessory?
4 across: SecretPower.
6 across: BlockSmash (from the Pokeathlon).

1 down is incorrect. I think I misphrased it a bit though so I rephrased it a bit below. Elaborated on 5 down a bit as well as it might've been too brief a hint.

4 across and 6 across are both correct.
Secret Power lets you interact with secret spots and make a secret base. The hint for 6 was indeed a description of the Block Smash event of the Pokeathlon.

1 down: BlueScarf? (Fits PinkScarf in there too.)
5 down: SunyshoreCity? (Sounds like a warm place, if nothing else.)

8 across: Toughness?

1 down is incorrect, but really close.
5 down is incorrect.

8 across is correct. Toughness, usually shortened to just Tough in the games.

Hearthhome city

Correct, the "Warm & Kind" referred to the city slogan of sort from the signboards.

It's in this puzzle because it's where the contest hall is in Sinnoh.

PikachuCosplay

Feeling conflicted on this. You got the right two words, but in the wrong order.
I don't mind filling it in if there's no objections from others (or you could flip it around and resubmit I guess)

Is 7th related to those NPCs in B2/W2 at film shooting ?

Not sure which specific NPC's you mean off the top of my head (been a while since I played a Unova game), but it is Pokéstar Studios related yes and the answer is a person.

Was gonna reveal the specific side things later on, but I guess I might as well include them now by updating the hints for the unguessed ones.

CosplayPikachu then !!

Correct!
The special Pikachu from the ORAS contests that has 5 different outfits and has a move Pikachu otherwise can't learn for each outfit.

That owner fits there; Stu-Deeoh

Correct, the owner of Pokéstar Studios: Stu Deeoh... still think it's a dumb name for an NPC, but there's probably worse ones in Pokemon lol

1 down: PinkScarf
10 across: RingDrop

Hoped to cobble together an educated bad guess for 3 down with limited Googling. Met little success. Likely appears in Fortree City (or has a name associated with trees that is not Treehouse). Probably Secret B-something. Ends in a D, assuming 10 across to be right. Potentially Secret Base _ _ _ _ D, but what would fit there? Sword, Grind, Blind, Pound...nothing with an association to a shop or market.

Potentially Secret Base _ _ _ _ D
It reminded me of the possible answer;

SECRET BASE GUILD

I guess there is something to do with number of the flags or similar, and then speak to a person in Fortree City.
