What: Can select several blocks.
Description: For make a map faster, it's need to can select several blocks in the same time, for place a tree, a house, a pokecenter.....very easely^^

Please read the Readme! There are descript some Shortcuts that would help you do this function also with AM 1.92 or older.

Be able to draw a box around a house for example and be able to move it around, without drawing it agian.

Well, I got another 6 more ideas which came from wrecking my brains out:
1). Support For Editing Block Behaivour Data - Its possible, I'll show you.
2). Support For Making More Region WorldMaps - ...Sounds like a bit tough, but we can study how FR/LG can support 3 worldmaps and then mimic it for R/S/E.
3) Having a Predefined set of palettes for the palette editor could prove useful - night palette, snow palette, dp palette etc.
4) A HelpFile can be good, with a list of AM errors and meanings, or just some help.
5) Displaying More Maps - For example the Mirage Island
6) Ability To Delete maps so glitched maps can be deleted - fills FF to the deleted map data.

I think that's all, sounds really tough you're gonna need a lot of help.

what: Option to show a newly added overworld rather than have it as a blank square.
what: for level scripts of type 02 to work first time without having to go into the rom with a hex editor and change the FFFF to 0000.

You mean a new people-event, and the red square (show active Element)?
so you using the "show people"-Option.
you have to set a Picture-No for this event, if none is set, AdvanceMap cannot show one.
But i could select the first Picture-No, if this help.

What: Support For Expanded ROMs
What: Support For Making More Tileset Slots For Versions Like R/S
What: Support For Creating New Names
What: Edit The Position For More Stuff On The WorldMap, example: Safari Zone, Lanette's House, Flower Shop etc.
What: Possibilty Of Creating Flightspots
What: Ability To Edit What Floor The Map Is

well... For the time being these many ideas, cause I can't think of more. Good luck!
if you are wanting to create flight positions get the program called poketronic but it's got this program called firestarter and somethin else it comes with a fly positon editor u have to upload a bitmap of the map because the program doesn't do that on it's own but with a-map that is not a problem *thanks Lu-ho* all you have to do is choose the map from a drop down list if i remember right....

yeah but pokétronic flight editor is uncomplated tool and it's not compatible with all version and other defect stuff....

I think you're refering to the old program which was known as flightlander(I think) and it came bundled with Poketronic, but I'm afraid it doesn't work with creating flightspots only editing - the very thing AM has. I know you're trying to help me and everyone especially LU-HO and I appreciate it :), but please try to get your information right.

DESC: Super Simple Scripting, Like you select a person event, and then on a drop down list or something, you can choose the movements of that person. No, not like move around/look around/move up and down, like an actual script. And there'll be about 3 Slots. Example:

Slot ll # of Times
1st ll
Walk Left ll 5
2nd ll
Walk Right ll 2
3rd ll
Hop In Spot ll 1

Also, you'll be able to insert typical scripts without much effort, like:
INSERT: ROCK SMASH SCRIPT
And you can find the "insert" option when you click a person event.
It can range from many things like cut, rock smash, flash, dive, etc.

I know there are already ways of doing that, but i'd like it if you could just do it that easily, if it's not much of a hassle.

WHAT: Region Map Editor

DESC: Edits the map you see in the game at PK Centres, Your Town Map, etc.
You can select "Import, Make, New/Delete" Etc.
in import, you can insert a pre-made map into the game.

in Make, you can doodle it your self on some built in paint program in A-Map with all the basic map tiles on the side, where you can create it like a map or something.

in New/Delete, you completely erase the map with a warning appearing before. I Find it horribly annoying how much space all those programs take up, like Cyclone or Nameless Tile Editor which are map editors, so it would be nice if A-Map could render those programs useless.

WHAT: More Music Editor

DESC:
Ability to import music into the music selection for maps. And if that's to difficult, or perhaps you need another program to do it, how bout you include a music editing program specifically designed for a-map included when you download, Where you can change the music list or make your own music (glory!!! but in doubt), and then you press a button called "Write to A-MAP" or something. That'd be very useful.

Also, if you could edit music for wild battles or for certain pokemon, or perhaps person event music simply. What do I mean by person event? well, think of rival music. So it's like choosing if you want to change the music when you talk to a certain person event... I know there's other programs, but it'd be quicker if it's all in a-map.


Anyway those are my practically-impossible dreams/ideas for a-map. I Hope you at least consider them. Thanks! :)

What: Random Map Layout Generator:, yes It has been said before, But I really like the Idea

What: Possibility for every Town/City map to have it's own name instead of using the same name for multiple maps in the same header :/

You mean when you expanded the amount of overworlds?
Just reload the rom...

Idea: When expanding a rom/Other things like that then get an optium about repointing the rom...

BUG: Grid Stayed Behind.
BUG DESCRIPTION: I used the grid to place tiles with high accuracy, and when I was done with placing tiles on the map, I deselect the grid, but there are some small amount of grid left on the map. :\ I can't erase them. No matter how many times I enable and disable the grid, it's still there. The only way to get rid of those is to open other maps and go back again, and problem's fixed.
A-MAP VERSION: The latest one, 1.92...

Features I'd love: [1=most important feature ever zomg do it now; 10=only if you really, REALLY want to]

  • Actually adding more labels (+repointing) [4]
  • Documentation on how to access all map data, block data, etc, etc, in hex [3]
  • Erase map data (overwrite header, data, etc, with free space byte) [2]
  • Sharing violation fix (use sharing mask FILE_SHARE_READ|FILE_SHARE_WRITE|FILE_SHARE_DELETE) [7]

Instead of simplistic script editor, you could just... open the script. Although, I stand right behind you with the idea that you should be able to (re-)use commonly-used offsets for scripts.

No, it's impossible to select several bloc for make a map in the blocks select.
And the Readme don't say anything about this.

the ability to put a tile set you have saved like in a dib then put it in the program as tiles , sorta like copy/paste tiles lol
