80% of the time when I post, the forum thinks I'm posting twice within 45sec. It sends my message, and then goes back to the same reply and says "Please wait 30sec to reply" or whatever.

It's a bit annoying. I don't know why it happens; I'm not pressing the Reply button more than once, so why is it doing that o_0

Am using InVerse skin and Google Chrome.

I think it's just the server. :( It does that for me too, except I don't see the flood message so it just ends up making my post twice and I have to delete one.

So long as your posts are actually going through, you can just ignore it.

Oh... so THAT's what's going on. That happened to me sometimes before I became a mod, and I just shrugged my shoulders and thought "meh, lag". I didn't realize it was the same problem happening now, only without the flood control, when I keep making accidental double posts xD I feel like two pieces in the puzzle of life suddenly got put together~

It has been going on for quite a while. Not that it's the end of the world, but I'm running out of nifty things to put in as delete reason line under those posts.

So it can't/won't be fixed/looked into?

    Edit: Whoa.
The following errors occurred with your submission:

    1. This forum requires that you wait 45 seconds between posts. Please try again in 33 seconds.
    Speak about the devil.

I've been giggling at all the moderator/administrator double posts here lately.

You guys should really fix it. Or put like a 5 second flood control on administrators if you can.

Or turn off "THIS POST HAS BEEN DELETED DUE TO: LOL SERVER." as it is starting to look ridiculous after every admin posts.

I was thinking the same, like 5-10 seconds for Mods+ so it will prevent bijillions of clone posts.

Issue is, it doesn't affect all of us for some reason.

I've tried to double post in B/W to test (duplicate post that is) and it...just won't let me. And if we want to make posts really fast (idk there may be situations that need it) and avoid the seconds waiting with multiple tabs, then that's a disadvantage for the rest of us.

Like I said, make it something like 3 or 5 seconds. You shouldn't need to post that often, even as a moderator. I understand why you don't want the 45 seconds (wish I could get rid of that - especially the 45 seconds between reporting), but a few seconds shouldn't impact you while working as a work around to fix this.

I also do not get the errors ever.

its likely a plugin / mod or some little thing like that..

its not the server as it been happening even when the server is not at all busy.

Likely some little snippit of code was missed / changed during a recent edit, or a plugin broke, or perhaps something changed in how the ajax javascript is processed or a combo of these..

Well, I'll try to come up with entertaining deletion reasons for a while longer then~

Actually, a 5 second flood control time wouldn't hurt, would it? If it would save us the seconds we have to spend on deleting the duplicate post.

Edit: Uh, double-post stopped by flood control again. CQ&F doesn't like me xD

Well, I know it annoys me when it thinks I double posted, which it has been doing to me recently, because I end up having to click the thread title in the navbar, which forces me to page one of the thread which is REALLY ANNOYING BECAUSE I HAVE TO MAKE SO MANY EXTRA CLICKS! >O *shot for laziness*

    I know it's a little thing to be annoyed about but it's really something I pray gets figured out and fixed soon. ;o;
*hates being ninja'd because she had to click through that*

I'm not 100% on this but it seems to only occur for me when I use Quick Reply.

    *testing Quick Reply now*

edit: Yeah, just got "This forum requires that you wait 45 seconds between posts. Please try again in 30 seconds." Can someone else test this? It might just be me but if someone else can reproduce the bug, we might be able to fix it.

Not so sure? May be it just because of the browser?

Edit: Yup, Quick Reply works okay, I think that's because I'm using Fire Fox 3.6 =_=

I hardly use normal reply and mainly quick reply and I ALWAYS get this message on both Windows and Mac (Bootcamp). But I just ignore it...

However, would be nice to know if there is a solution to it?

working on it.. not sure when it'll be fixed.. still looking for the root cause.
