This is a thread where you can share your favorite scenes from manga and anime and try to explain why you find those scenes to be special. Because of the nature of discussing stuff like this, be mindful to write the name of the show and then discuss the scene from it in spoilers.
NHK ni Youkoso!:

After being informed he'll have to take care of the family business in the countryside, Yamazaki invites the girl he liked for a long time to his apartment and then scares her away with his excessive amounts of otaku-ness. After that, he and Satou sit in silence for a bit as Yamazaki stares into the ceiling realizing the life he has known up to this point is over and that he'll have to give up on his otaku life style and the dream of becoming a video game developer.
I think this scene perfectly captures that moment in life where you have to accept that your childhood is over and you need to become a responsible adult. It's a scene I have grown to appreciate more and more as years go by.
Joshikousei no Mudazukai:

Heartbroken and shocked after learning that her hometeacher is actually her favorite vocaloid artist, she goes home to sob after her romanticized views of Teishotoku P have been shattered. Alone in the dark in her room, she starts listening to his songs and gets inspired to pursue her dreams of becoming a mangaka, picks up her pen and starts drawing. Determined not to give up on her dreams unlike her teacher who abandoned his dreams of becoming a professional musician, she even leaves him a note the next day that she'll make her manga debut in a contest by the end of the year, to which he smiles and replies "I'm looking forward to it".
Up to this point, Wota's dream of becoming a mangaka has been played for jokes as she would often start drawing, but lacked the commitment to finish. After this, she becomes serious about it and even starts seeing the person that girls in the show don't particularly like in a brand new light and with respect. Not to mention they absolutely nailed the atmosphere of the moment.
Tsuki ga Kirei:

After keeping their relationship under wraps for some time, Azumi gets fed up with everyone shipping Mizuno with Hira and decides to come open about it and directly confronts Hira. While Mizuno is taken aback first, the 2 go have fun on their own at the amusment park. With no need to keep it a secret, they can finally enjoy being a couple for the first time and open up to each other even more.
Azumi, a timid socially awkward kid, suddenly goes 180 and finally decides to step up for himself, even goes against one of the most popular and socially influential boys in school and is rewarded for it. It was incredibly staisfying to watch.
Tokyo Ghoul:re:

Haise meets Touka and is stunned by her beauty. After tasting the coffee, he even starts crying over the familiar atmosphere, but doesn't know why.
Even though anime butchered Touka's physical appearance instead of sticking to her manga appearance at that point in the story, the combination of Hanae Natsuki's soothing voice and the background song is what elevated the scene to a whole new level. I watched the scene so many times I can even recite Haise's inner monologue.
Parasyte:

No music, just snow and Tamura Reiko being shot with countless bullets while protecting her child, eventually succumbing to numerous wounds.
This cold character who at first gave birth to this child so she can experiment on it, ends up developing emotions and starts to truly love her child to the point where she's ready to give up her life for it, which is something Parasyte's primal survival instinct shouldn't allow. It's a surprisingly sad moment.

AnoHana

"You found me."
Menma's final goodbye at the end when she is finally able to pass on having been able to bring all her old friends back together, with the members of the group who couldn't see her before finally getting one last glimpse of her. That's one of the most beautiful moments in anime, period.
Higurashi
Spoiler:
There's a lot of them really, but the one that sprung to mind was Keichii rallying the villagers to protests child services continued inaction in the face of Satoko's uncle abusing her. Speaking of Keichii and Satoko, the scene with them on the bridge after they stumble across Rika's corpse in one of the timelines was pretty damn powerful too. There's a lot of others but you can have those two for now lol.
Shinsekai Yori

Right near the end when Squealer reveals the origins of the Queerats. Suddenly he doesn't seem quite so evil as all the pieces come together. I contextualises a lot.
Violet Evergarden
Spoiler:
At the end of one of the later episodes, after the little girl's mum dies and the letters she'd spent the whole episode preparing start coming in one by one. It's a really tocuhing moment and stands out as one of the biggest emotional gut punches in a series comprised almost entirely of them.
My Hero Acadamia

There's a surprising number of powerful moments in this show tbh. All Might's last fight before he loses what's left of his power, everything that happens between Deku, the little kid and Muscular, Kirishima in the most recent season and so on and so forth. I think one that goes overlooked though is Bakugo vs Uraraka. She tries to damn hard only to get blown away, Eraser Head tears apart all the sexists in the audience and she becomes the second person ever to actually get acknowledged by Bakugo after Kirishima.
Made in Abyss

Honestly, the first one that came to mind is from the very first episode. When we get all those beautiful sweeping shot of the city and higher layers of the abyss while Hanazeve Caradhina plays. It captures such a sense of wonderment and creates such a desire to explore and see more that for a moment you feel exactly what Riko always feels. Speaking of Riko, the scene where on the verge of death she's instructing Reg through an impromptu field amputation attempt. That's powerful because of the trust displayed and because it's fucking horrifying to watch.
Re:Zero

Rem. God damn it Rem. In the cave after being defeated by Petelgeuse. With her body absolutely fucking destroyed, she forces herself to crawl agonising metres to where Subaru is chained up to free him. There's a fair few really powerful moments in this show, but that one hit home the most for me.
I could keep going for hours on this topic probably, so I'll stop there before I accidentally write an essay lmao.
During the CP9 arc when The Strawhats literally declare war to the whole world and ends with Robin saying that she wants to live. The whole Marienford's arc is emotional as a whole too, specially Ace's death. Literally all of the backstories, especially Brook's imo. And I think I can continue, because this show is full of those.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Gonna take Brotherhood only because I have to rewatch 03; I don't remember a thing about it. Greed's final sacrifice is something I think is overlooked by most people but me, since he was my favorite character in the show; I think all of the homonculy are overlooked really. It's impossible to not mention Hughes death, I think that if someone thinks about sad anime moments this is one of the first scenes that pop into someone's mind. The whole philosopher stone being made out of real people thing. When Ed stops Winry when she attempts to kill Scar. This is another show that has a lot of powerful moments.
My Hero Academia (Kinda manga spoilers btw)

Aside from what gp said above about Kirishima and how overlooked Bakugo vs Uraraka was. Eri at the end of the current anime season is probably one of the most fulfilling moments the series had so far. Mirio losing his quirk, and Nighteye's death are also very emotive. I also liked what happened with Aoyama during season 3, and Shinso during season 2, and if someone liked him there too, they'll probably like what will happen with the character later. Momo has also good moments and that will be seen in what I think will be the next season? Idr really.

Two things, first of all the Bakugo vs Deku fight at the end of s3 where they both nearly break down is my favourite scene in the entire show and makes me sympathize with how desperate Bakugo is so hard. Their talk with All-Might is honestly so well written and I love it all. Secondly, Tomura capturing the ambulance van carrying Overhaul, shattering his arms and saying "someone who's so obsessed with erasing quirks, shouldn't have one of their own." like... first of all that's an awesome line and second Tomura is my favourite character and i love love love seeing him evolve from a whiny brat into a manipulative and charismatic mastermind, even if he's not quite there yet.
Kill la Kill

Mako asking Ryuko out at the literal last minute was like holy shit surprise lesbians for me! Apparently some people saw this coming but I thought the show was working towards setting Mako up with Gamagori, and I like Gamagori even though he looks (not sure if he actually is) way older than her, so I was generally expecting that. Anyways that was awesome but the really powerful moment was the other characters saying "those girls have a date, they've earned it" after the final fight. Not only adorable but just such a rewarding feeling after a pretty out-there battle. Normally I have a hard time getting really invested in superpowered save the universe plots because they're so out there (especially KLK) but knowing they got to go on a date now made it all feel worth it and was such a rewarding feeling even if I didn't get to see the date.
There are too many but the one that gave me chills down my spine...is when meliodas...got @$#$%! whooped..by Escanor😆😁 it was sooo intense...and it's the first moment of 2020 in anime that gave me chills....and made me smile..like a dummy instantly....I had to watch that scene over again and it still gives me chills....Escanor...is my favorite mustache man...Escanor vs Meliodas....
There are so many, but the one that always comes to my kind is the scene where she arrives in the countryside for that playwriter. She helped him out with the house and the typing of his script (sorry, can't recall specifically), but the scene where she jumps across the lake to give him inspiration to continue his story was such a tear jerker to me. He was struggling with the loss of his only child, but the relay of the memories that were shown were such a strong part of it. It depicted the long struggle of how desperate he wanted his daughter back, or to have grown older and had keep living. A reflection of what emotions he had bottled up for so long.
Yuri on ice!!

Don't even get me started,
But the scene that comes to mind was the most important--- Yuri's skate for love. It's hard to put into words for me of how important this scene was, particularly between the two characters-- Yuri and Viktor. The final skate routine he performed during the final competition, was so strong. While his skating theme was 'love', he was originally skating through his love for katsudon, but after Yuri wanted to prove to Viktor that him being his coach wasn't a waste of time, he put his all into performing the free skate. Finishing off the entire routine with Viktor's final known move, he finishes by pointing in Viktor's direction, which could indicate that his subject he was skating for had shifted to his coach, Viktor. Yuri risking the extra moves into showed the desperation of how much Viktor had meant to him and how he didn't want to let him down, not just as a coach or an idol, but as a competitor.
I had a few more anime in mind, but I can't specifically chose just one.
Tohru accepting Kyo in his true form, and saying "let's go home!". Also, MUCH, much, mUCH later down the line in the manga where she tells Kyo, "I love you, Kyo-kun! Why can't you just accept that?!" After telling him she will choose to go against her mother's word of saying she won't forgive him. This is by far, the most powerful straight anime couple for me in the entire anime and mangaverse, and nothing will ever change my mind.
The entirety of the anime is an emotionally stimulating experience. The tenth episode in particular. Seeing the mother try to write the letters whilst dealing with her emotionally distraught young daughter brought me to the brink of tears. However, it's when they reveal that the mother has passed and show the scenes of the daughter opening the letters that gets to me. I sob every time. This is perhaps the saddest/most emotional moment in anime. Moreover, the episode where Violet is instructed to write letters between the young princess Charlotte of Drossel and prince Damian of Flugel brings tears to my eyes as well. The ending in particular, when princess Charlotte is about to wed and thanks Alberta, her maid, for all that she's done is such a beautiful and wholesome moment that chokes me up every time. Moments such as these are why Violet Evergarden is and will always be my favourite anime.
Little Busters!

The bus crash scene is immensely hard to watch. The last few episodes are incredibly suspenseful and watching Riki and Rin save their unconscious classmates from the bus is truly heartwarming. Furthermore, the ending in which the Little Busters reunite is incredibly touching. It's such a joyous moment, however, jubilant occurrences such as these tend to make me sob the most. Such a wondrous ending full of emotion and a phenomenal anime overall. Also, witnessing Rin's close bond with Komari-chan is so beautiful. Those two have the cutest, most wholesome friendship and I love it.
Angel Beats!

There are several moments throughout this anime that I find to be powerful. The first is Yui's passing. Learning of her life and of her disability and bed-ridden state makes my heart ache. Furthermore, when Hinata promises to marry her and care for her, it truly warms my heart. Of course, another touching moment is the ending, when everyone is finally prepared to move onto the afterlife and Otonashi confesses his love for Kanade. This is probably one of the most crestfallen and emotionally-moving moments in anime.
Yona of the Dawn

Zeno initially didn't strike me as the most dynamic or interesting character. However, after learning of his sorrowful past he immediately became my favourite character in this particular anime and one of my favourite anime characters to date. Having been alive for thousands of years and enduring so much loss, I'm amazed at his sanity. Having lost his friends, the original dragons, seemed immensely hard. I couldn't imagine watching those around you grow elderly and feeble while you remain steadfast and healthy, blessed with eternal youth. I found the loss of Kaya to be the most moving. Seeing him fall so deeply in love with her and witnessing them marry was beautiful. Of course, she succumbed to her ailment and left him too quickly. This absolutely destroyed me, just when he regained a sense of purpose, just when he had found something to live for, it had slipped through his fingers. Lastly, when Zeno reflects upon having watched over the other dragons, I lose it. After an eternity of emotional turmoil he still is able to put the needs of others first. His compassion and selflessness is admirable.
When Nowaki came back from (america)?), He was helping Hiroki put boxes away because they had moved in with eachother. While Hiroki was putting a box belonging to Nowaki away, a bag fell out and letters addressed to Hiroki was in it. He read one with the message in it, explaining how much Nowaki loved him and wanted to come home.
What I treasure about this scene, compared to the many in the series throughout the three seasons was how strong their odd relationship was. Moments like this put emphasis on their strong bond.
It's important because it shows how desperate Nowaki wanted to come back home to Hiroki, but he kept hold of the love letters because if he sent them off, he would of been even more tempted to go home to see him. He would've ruined the plan of him studying in the other country. He bottled his emotions up and decided to try his very hardest to finish the work in a year or two instead. I just adore this moment the most compared to a lot of others. (◡ ω ◡)
Noragami

When Hiyori built and gave Yato that tiny shrine and he cried?? It was precious, but it was his one goal. He wanted his very own shrine, that's why he worked so hard.
Even though he couldn't physically go in it, he was so touched and happy.
Mikado stabbing Aoba has never, ever left my mind, and that's how much of an impression it's left on me over the years. It probably never will. It was really shocking seeing that change in Mikado. It was hinted at for awhile, of course. Tbh, I don't know WHY people call the second Durarara series boring. I really don't, considering how much more powerful x2 is than the original.
Code Geass

Nunnally opening her eyes again for the first time in years after being blinded because of her father's Geass. Also Viletta and Ohgi's wedding/love story was really nice to see actually happen, even though, for the most part it was passively shown.
Banana Fish
Spoiler:
The entire series. That's it. That's the tea. Every scene in Banana Fish is powerful. End of discussion.
The first one is episode one when nezuko attack tanjiro then she cried and giyu running to reach them with the music of background(nezuko theme song), For me this scene is so emotional. Mostly because of the song!
the second one is episode 19 at the end when tanjiro power woken up, and he becomes hinokami
