Oo hey, I didn't know your team was ready - disregard my PM then :p but please go on; there are challengers waiting for leader matches on 3DS.

Including myself in like, 3 1/2 hours :p
 
Yeah, go for that. Sorry mate, I was hoping at least one leader from each division would be around enough to keep anyone from getting no responses for a whole day on a challenge :n

I'll try poking the Showdown Leaders with a stick some PM's too.

I'd love to battle you, but since I'm an Elite 4 member we can't battle until you've beaten all the Showdown Gym Leaders. =(

Edit: READY FOR CHALLENGES ARGH! I can accept challenges all tomorrow, just need a PM and I'll go online. :3

So how does it work if none of them are active? Does someone immediately get to move to the E4? ^^

Well, the problem as I see it is we have active Elites and not-as-much gym leaders. : ,

3DS division at least has 3 or so - but there's basically an impassable wall in front of the elite 4 for both divisions right now, in the form of Gym Leader inactivity. :1 My original suggestion was (for beta only) we change the badges needed to face elites from 6 to 3. We can still require all gym leaders be challenged before claiming the (TEMPORARY - since it's Beta) position of Champion, orrr even have 3 badges to challenge one elite, 4 for 2 elites, and all 6 for all elites?

I just don't like the idea of people challenging the league... and just sitting there with no opponents to play. :I

I think it double-posted in error as a merged post, so he quickly edited it out, but you saw it before he did.
 
Alright, so in light of some difficulties gaining things going (on OUR half - not challengers) in the league, this system has been proposed to deal with inactivity for the beta.

1-3 days with pending challenges, messages sent to member
4-6 days with pending challenges, substitution for challengers to face
1 week or more pending challenges, removal from league position

Thoughts; opinions on this?

I approve! But since simply saying "I approve," even when that's all I want to say, is not enough (less then 25 characters), I'll have to say more (even though so far alone is good enough).

Maybe someone could put together a detailed log on the progress so far, such as inactive people, how many challengers there are so far, who beat who, ect.
 
Yaaaay. Glad we got a Showdown match in, seriously. :x I was expecting that to actually be the more trafficked half of the league. Sad our leaders don't seem to be very keen on taking challengers up :V

Anywho - anyone around please throw some input at that absantee system, since Wednesday / Thursday will mark about 4 days from the start of the league, if that's implemented, we'll be able to start using substitute leaders for people who have been waiting since launch for the battles.
 
Anyone challenging me for the Oblivion Badge has to pm me with FC and a heads up of availability; meaning that I'm not most likely going to be able to challenge right then and there that i get p.m unless it's around 10 p.m or later in my time zone, so give me minimum an hour in advanced. I'm available all day tomorrow and most likely thursday as well. Technically today is wednesday, note that i posted that if you are able to defeat me, for today (wednesday), i will be rewarding the winning challenger(s) with an eevee nicknamed "Shadow" holding a dusk stone, as well as the Oblivion Badge (hopefully we will have the badges soon enough :)). Tomorrow (thursday), challengers will be rewarded with an Absol nicknamed "Dawn" (if you defeat me during the day, or "Eclipse if you defeat me at night, which will also be holding a dusk stone. Want to promote this here as well.

I figured that everyday i will be rewarding challengers with different pokemon that are either ghost or dark, either way, holding a dusk stone.

I'm glad that Polar was my first challenger, as it was an intense battle, very memorable, and a close call to the match.

a) The Wingpulse Badge (Pulsewing works too)
b) The Nightwing Badge
c) Something else (provide an idea)

Send me a VM and let me know what you think rather than cluttering here. If I get and like an idea I'll announce that. Otherwise I'll use one of those two. I think "wing" should be in the name because the badge looks like wings.
