Oh wow..... ooOpposite Day has an amazing gym concept and made the battles great! I love the ideas! I doubt anybody can stand up to this one.

As for voting... I really think that Syrynn should get this one. His concept is truly amazing and unique (seriously, who would have thought of converting the player into a Pokemon for the battle?) and is what really made me support his.

- Skip, I really kind of alluded to that in my round 5 gym; it was just that I didn't use it for battle that time.

- I'm almost ready to give Opposite Day my vote for Round 7 after that masterpiece. But I still have to throw my gym into the ring.

Yeah, I do all my mapping through Advance Map; I'm including the Champion Map when I post it. ooOpposite Day; that Ice Gym is fantastic, though I have some minor nitpicks (I'm getting pickier =]), but you'll get those when I give me huge post of comments. I'm hoping to see some more gyms, but I assume the long wait simply means I'll be getting some extraordinary gyms this round =).

Well after I completely lost track of what day it was and missed the deadline for the 4th gym, my system was completely messed up. I've now ditched the 5th gym, as someone else has already read my mind and posted the exact same idea (I forget who it was who had the sandstorm gym), and I've shifted the 4th gym to the 8th. I'm hoping to post that 8th gym, and maybe a 7th gym too, but I've had some major problems with my laptop recently, so it's pretty hard to go through the whole process. Also, I'm stumped on puzzles completely. I'll try to get the 8th gym, though I'll be away until Monday afternoon, when does Round 8 close?
 
Round 8 closes on the 27th.

Also, I think I'm done working on gyms. God, that was exhausting. I'm going to be working exclusively on Elite Four sets and rival sets.
 
the program won't save any of my pictures of the gyms map.... anyway, here is my gym.

Gym name: Fiery Blizzard gym

Gym type(s): Ice/Fire

Gym number: #7

Leader: Nikki Mistress of Ice, Master of Fire

Gym nerd: Hey (player's name)! This gym is different from the other ones' you faced. This gym has a combo of Ice and Fire types. Fire, Water, Fighting, Ground, and Rock types might work. Good Luck!


Puzzle: There are 4 floors. The first has the gym nerd and a ladder. The second floor has paths to a ladder to reach the leader, but is blocked by lava, but there a ladder near the one you just went up. The third floor has 5 trainers blocking pushable stones and holes, and the floor is made of ice. after you beat all the trainers and pushed all the stones into the holes, you can walk across (yes, i'm kinda using the 8th gym's puzzle from S/G/C) and use the ladder on the second floor. after you go up it, there will be another ladder almost right next to it. On the fourth floor, the gym leader and 2 trainers will be there. you get into a double battle with the two trainers.

I've decided to make one final bid at a gym before I plot out a good Elite 4 Member and a rival. Here goes nothing!

"The venomous trickster"

Gym Nerd's Speech: Hey, (name), you're getting even closer to the Pokemon League! This is literally the deadliest gym I have ever seen in my life! Its got pits of toxic sludge everywhere, and trainers running amok! They say that Bronson himself is battled above a toxic pit! Be careful not to get too close to the pits, and have some good Ground and Psychic type Pokemon out!

Gym Puzzle: The entire gym is coated with a thick purple smog, which can be blown away with the move Defog. However, it will reappear every time the player exits and reenters the gym. When walking near a toxic pit, there is a 25 percent chance that a wild Pokemon will pop out of the toxic pit and battle you! This pokemon can be one of several pokemon that will be listed below, and is catchable. Toxic pits are scattered throughout the gym, walkways line the toxic pits (and some safe areas where no wild Pokemon will jump out), and the gym leader himself is positioned above a toxic pit. A map of the gym will be posted shortly.

Syrynn wins! Congradulations Syrynn, your gym was superb. To all those who didn't win, don't be discouraged; we still have 9 more rounds to go (Gym 8, then Elite 4, then 4 rivals), so send in wherever possible.

Charmageddon - I'll extend the deadline one day for Gym 8 if that means you can make it; your gyms are always great. I hope to see your creativity in the Elite 4 & Rival Rounds as well.

All the submitted gyms this round have been great, though I would like to see some changes made, but those will be in my giant edit post later.

i got a question about the rivals it is going to be like the rivals in the game where they get more pokemon and gets stronger as the hero gets further and stuff and if i create a rival can he have all Fossil pokemon? becuse i want to know now so i can start a rival so i can post it as soon as the rivals can be posted.

Yea, its like the rivals in-game, and I don't see anything with having all fossil pokemon. The criminal rival is the most likely to have these though, so I would use Fossil Pokemon for that rival.

Maci, do you mind posting the level ranges for the first time, second time, etc. you battle each rival? I want to get started on a rival as well.

Gym Sign - Pyro Gym, Leader: Sonny, Too Hot For The Competition

Gym Layout: The gym is built into a Volcano, and has been split into 3 floors and the player starts at the base. The player has to use strength to move boulders on top of hot geysers, which will fire the player to the next floor. The player cannot go back down a floor, and the only way out of the Gym is a transport pad located next to the Gym Leader on the top floor.

You Had me At Hello- I like the idea of the gym, and the levels work well, but I think you should allow the player to leave the gym if they choose to. This way, it makes it easier for players to heal their Pokemon.

Also, the map is up!
