6th Gen Pseudo-Legendary Speculation

I see a lot of speculation about the Legendaries and the Starter Pokémon, but what about the Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon. IMO, they're an important part of each generation. So, what do you guys want out of this Gen's Pseudo(s)? What do you want it/them to be based on? What type(s) should it/they be? And how many should there be? Just one? Or two (like from Gen III)? Or maybe more?

Well, the typings of the past generations' pseudos have been:

    -Dragon/Flying
    -Dark/Rock
    -Steel/Psychic
    -Dragon/Flying
    -Dragon/Ground
    -Bug/Fire
    -Dragon
    -Dragon/Dark

Obviously, Dragons are a consistent theme amongst pseudos, but I'd personally like to see a shift in a different direction. Generally speaking, all of the pseudo-legendaries are based on either dragons or very formidable beings (Enormous bugs, rock monsters, organic supercomputers). I think it'd be cool to see a pseudo that is entirely ordinary in appearance, masquerading its tremendous power.

Something like a woodland mammal or bird. Basically, it'd be like taking Raticate and putting it on steroids, but not changing its appearance. It'd be an interesting take that would be rewarding for players that raise their Pokemon based on what appeals to them, as compared to raising Pokemon solely based on their status as pseudo-legendaries.

Volcarona and Haxorus are not pseudo-legendaries. A Pseudo-Legendary is a "Pokémon that has a three-stage evolution line, 1,250,000 experience at level 100, and a base stat total of exactly 600" (Bulbapedia). Therefore, the only pseudo-legendary of Generation V was Hydreigon.

I'd like to see that too. The Dragon type is one of my favorite types, but using it all throughout can be somewhat tedious. And on top of that, every one except for Metagross has been a reptile. I'd also like to see an ape or a giant fish.

Oooo the psuedo-legendaries :3. I cant wait to see them this gen. Pretty sure one of them might be a dragon or dragonic pokemon of some sort as usual. I beleive the only psuedo-legend that isnt dragonic of any sort is Metagross. But i wouuld like if they made a Poison/Dragon type this gen. And it wouuuld be very sweet if that poke could be psuedo-legendary.

However as others have said above a change of pace in the pattern of psuedo-legends would be welcomed. I'd like some kinda mammalian poke to be a psuedo-legendary.

Really? Never knew the requirements for psuedo-status were so steep.

Anywho, I didn't mean for the pseudo-legendary to be obtained early; I simply meant that the Pokemon should be ordinary in appearance. It could appear rarely on a route located after the fourth gym, or even be given as a gift under the misconception that it really isn't all that special. For example, the player witnesses an event where a frustrated Trainer abandons the undercover pseudo and you are given the opportunity to either keep the lost Pokemon or release it into the wild.

I originally speculated for a mechanized version of Tyranitar, which will be either Rock/Steel or Steel/Dark, for Gen VI's pseudo-legendary, but then PokeStar Studios happened. Now I'm predicting either a reptilian Poison/Steel type, a Dragon/Flying Griffon, or a Dragon/Flying Wyvern.

One that isn't dragon, similar to Metagross & Tyranitar but a typing that hasn't been used yet such as Poison, Ice, Flying etc.

I think that another Dragon would be completely unnecessary. I'd like to see something with great typing or something with a game changer (Either a unique ability or some certain moves that work well together)

I'd like to see an awesome ice type or normal type pseudo legendary, so maybe an ice/normal caveman like pokemon?

I doubt they would do a normal type unfortunately :( I do think they'll probably go for a poison, bug or ghost type, as those are some interesting types that could make for very fun pseudos!

I think they should go with just one pseudo. Having one specifically overpowered non-legendary per generation is enough!

    -Golurk

I want a pseudo legendary purely based on defenses with a gud typing.. Like Rock/Poison with poison heal or sum new ability..

It should hav a bs like dis

    hp - 110
    att - 95
    def - 130
    sp att - 90
    sp def - 110
    spd - 65

I would like to see a badass gorilla or a bug. Dragons are alright, but as mentioned before they appear too frequently throughout the generations. Would be nice to have so aquatic sea-creatures as well.

I'd like to see some Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, but this time... let's not have a Dragon-type Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon.

What I'd like to see as a Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y is... some mammal based off one of the big-cats in the world, either a Lion, a Leopard or a Cheetah. That might be good for a Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon instead of a Dragon. ;)

Here are a few typings I'd like to see for pseudo legends and design ideas
    Dark electric wolf
    Poison slender man poke
    Ice fighting ice fighter
Grass steel robot ( in disguise )
    Dragon rock fossil poke

i Would like to see a Fighting / Ground Gorilla or a Rock / Grass Snake

I'm hoping for a poison legendary (we might get that with Yveltal actually), but I'd take a poison pseudo any day.

A komodo dragon would fit perfectly In the whole Pseudo Legendary Group.
Poison/Dragon , Poison/Dark , Poison/Ground ..They can do a lot of funky stuff with this one.

I would kill for a pseudo-legendary poison or poison/dark type, just seems like a beast combo. also, the comment about a mechanized tyrannitar made me chuckle. when i read it a picture of mecha-godzilla popped into my head lol

I like the Poison/Dragon typing for it. It'd also be able to absorb toxic spikes.
