Question Of The Day #7: How was Get Together 11? What would you like to see in Get Together 12?

Earlier this year, PokeCommunity hosted it's usual Get Together event, which if you are new to this phrase is a time on PC where users host their own events for the whole community to partake in which all and all creates a sense of community, unity, fun, and an expression of interests. Cards Against Humanity, Minecraft, Radio Jams, Scavenger Hunts, and Trivia contests were only some of the events that were held this year, and who knows what the next Get Together will have in store. So my question for y'all is, if you participated in this year's Get Together, what were your thoughts on it? What events did you partake in? Did you enjoy them, or did you dislike them? What kind of improvements could have been made to those events to make them better? Were there any events that you wish you could have partaken in this year but couldn't? If you were a host of an event, did you enjoy being one? Would you be a host again for the next Get Together? What kind of events would you like to see in PokeCommunity's next Get Together?

I enjoyed the majority of the events and tried my best to participate in as much as I could, but I ended up filling my plate with too much and didn't even get half of the thins done. I would like to see maybe a "greatest fans" competition over in FC&G to see who the best fans are in the section or the clubs whichever. And then I think it'd be neat to have some more musical things where like either we all sing a song together or we could even make a song as a community and then sing it/play it.

I didn't participate much in this year's Get-Together. The Battle Server took up most of my time, but I managed to get a few battles in!

There's a few ideas I'd like to go for next year...if I'm active next year. I've always wanted to host an Emblem-making event, as it was a successful event back in 2011. I never managed to put that idea back in the ideas thread because of well.. life. xD Hopefully next year it can happen!

Hmm, as FC&G mod I coooooould look into that! Maybe it could be more of a MOTY sort of thing.

I already made a blog on it, but it was a neat time. I liked the GT challenge idea, and the movie streams. There was quite a bit to do and I do wonder what might come in future GTs.

I feel like it would be a good idea to move Member of the Year voting to take place during the Get Together. We always manage to end up keeping the forum around for an entire month anyway. Literally every year. So why not have a member based event take place during the get together? Makes sense to me. Who says it needs to take place in December? As long as it's once a year.
