Quick Question and Answer Thread / Breeding Questions

I have a question, when i gave my lv. 1 starly (I can Explain) a focus band, it wont leave it with one hp when a pokemon uses a move that will knock it out in one turn.

My lv. 1 Starly's strategy is...

First turn: Opponent uses move that would normally KO a level one starly, but I gave it a focus band for that reason. My starly uses endeavor to leave the opponent with one hp left.
Second turn: My starly goes first with quick attack and KO's it.

But, My focus Band isn't working, can someone help me?

So it's similar to a FEAR Rattata, eh? Well, you need to make sure that the move would kill your starly in 1 hit, it can't take 1 hit, then receive another, the band would not work then.

Another question?
If I have a pokemon with Ability Syncronie...and If a try to catch a pkmn with the nature, it works?
in legends too?

Yes, Synchronize will affect Legendaries that are fought in a set location, such as Heatran, Giratina, and Uxie. However...

The Roaming Legendaries have a set nature from when you first started the game, so it won't work on them...

...Legendaries that run after first being discovered, as in Cresselia, Mesprit, and the Legendary Birds should they apply, have their Nature and Individual Values set once they are released into the wild, and are not affected by Synchronize.

Focus Band only works occasionally, although can block a faint regardless of whether the Pokemon holding it is at 100% HP or not. What you are looking for in your case is a Focus Sash.

A focus Sash eh? where could i find one?

You can either purchase one in the Battle Area for 48 points, or find a house on Route 221 that will randomly award you either an Expert Belt, Focus Sash, or Black Belt once a day.

Where would I get more masterballs, if somebody has cloned a bunch and would be willing to trade for them, or even in the game.

NeroIV- IMO, master balls are ugly. But if you want more, you can keep trying the lottery everyday ( go to the Jubilife TV station and walk straight up. ) If you get 5 matching numbers you win. :'D

i only want some more to catch the legendaris that run like uxie. so i really only need 1 more. and is their any way to up the odds of winning?

Well, you can trade more with in-game people, the GTS, import Pokemon from GBA games, trade with other people via wi-fi, anything that involves you getting a Pokemon that wasn't originally caught by you. Even so, the chances are still pretty slim since you can only have 546 Pokemon in your box and party total and the chances are out of 10,000.

the only pokes that run is:
Mesprit, creselia and in platinum also zapdos, articuno, moltres. Uxie is in its cave so It wont run

Wow I completely forgot about Cress. And ya I mean there 500 of them so I think were allowed to make a mistake every once in a while. lol.:classic:

The older one's don't reset, the internal battery dies, and that happens whether you play them or not. But that doesn't happen with the new games really as far as I know. Or at least it will take a lot longer than 10yrs like the old ones.

Well, like Greene said, the old ones took ten years to die, and they were gbc games, now a ds game would probably take MUCH longer to die. We dont even know how long there is untill the GBA games start to die. We just have to wait and see, but i doubt the IV gen games will run dry soon.

So there is unlimited playtime in the game?

If you mean actual game time, yes you can play for as long as you want, by the time the internal battery runs dry you will probably not even remember what pokemon is. Dont worry about it and go enjoy your game :D

I have an EV training question. If I use vitamins, are they affected by things like PKRS and macho brace?
