Quick Question and Answer Thread / Breeding Questions

The older one's don't reset, the internal battery dies, and that happens whether you play them or not. But that doesn't happen with the new games really as far as I know. Or at least it will take a lot longer than 10yrs like the old ones.

Well, like Greene said, the old ones took ten years to die, and they were gbc games, now a ds game would probably take MUCH longer to die. We dont even know how long there is untill the GBA games start to die. We just have to wait and see, but i doubt the IV gen games will run dry soon.

So there is unlimited playtime in the game?

If you mean actual game time, yes you can play for as long as you want, by the time the internal battery runs dry you will probably not even remember what pokemon is. Dont worry about it and go enjoy your game :D

I have an EV training question. If I use vitamins, are they affected by things like PKRS and macho brace?

That's your opinion. If by battling, a Gallade would be good unless it's a Ghost or Flying type. Gardevoir is good because she has fewer weaknesses and also has a high Defense/Special Defense stat....I think.

Breeding Issues

Hello to all.

I've got an issue right now on my Platinum that I am hoping someone can shed some light on.

Got a Female Sneasel off the GTS from Japan, so it is a Foreign Language and it's nature is quite good for an attacking Weavile. I put an Everstone on it as while it's attack IV was high, the rest were garbage. So I put an Everstone on it and currently trying to breed it with a Male from my game that has good IVs in everything else.

Problem is that none of the eggs that have hatched at all (and I soft reset 5 times for the first one) are Adamant Natured Sneasels.

Any thoughts what is going on here would be GREATLY appreciated.

Nothing is wrong, you are just unlucky, simple as!

One, using an Everstone will not work on parents from two different countries, such as is your case. Two, soft reseting on an egg will not reset the Nature, as that is set in stone as soon as the Day-Care Man has it.

Everstones don't work with Pokemon that don't have your ID No.

No, the two Pokemon specifically need to be from two different countries. Simply having different ID numbers does not matter.
