[R/B/Y/G/S/C] The Nuzlocke Challenge Thread

I finally started. I got my Cyndaquil, did Mr. Pokemon stuff, got mystery egg, defeated rival, gave Mystery Egg to Elm, got Pokeballs, proceded, killed sadly most of the pokemon I faced till Violet. I caught my second pokemon the route west of Violet, (the route where Sudowoodo is) in Pidgey, but soon realized that I'm no longer able to catch Sudowoodo. Great. Even worse, Pidgey died in its first fight in the Violet Gym. Solo'd the Violet Gym with Cyndaquil, easily won. In the route south of Violet, hoping for a Wooper, I got a Rattata. I was content with it. I trained it a bit and proceded for Union Cave.
My team is a l.8 Rattata and a l.14 Quilava.

Alright, here's the update for Silver ::

I have officially named myself Nuzzy, because I'm very creative with names.
:t158: Totodile is now my partner, and hopefully stays that way too. I nicknamed him DWARF.

Made it to Route 1, and I totally just grinded to level 11. Did not catch any Pokemon on Route 1, and can not do so anymore.

Moved on to Cherrygrove, got the Map and headed into Route 30, didn't catch any Pokemon, went to Mr. Pokemon's house [ and so the events continued ].

:t158: LEVEL 11

Easily beat my Rival's Lvl. 5 Chikorita with my level 11 Totodile. Dwarf smacked that loser. Chikorita got me to level 12. I then named my Rival Kitty. A very bad Kitty.

Did all the events after that and continued to Violet City, not being able to catch any Pokemon because of already being on the Routes. Awe. : [

Went into Dark Cave and ran into a level 2 Geodude and caught it on a two Pokeball outting. Named it Dood.

TOTODILE [DWARF] LVL. 13

Went out and trained with Dood and Dwarf. Dood died, R.I.P Dood. Dwarf got to level 14, and now I challenge Falkner!! Easily beat him and got Dwarg to level 15.

And now I have recieved the Togepi egg. Since I love Togepi, I'm going to make Togepi one of my main Pokemon. I just walked around and waited for the egg to hatch, I really wanted another Pokemon. Nicknamed Togepi Shelly.

It was a short play time, but I'll play more tomorrow.

OH my god. I had just finished my final update (I beat the elite four) and firefox crashed. Here's the general idea.

Loreli: Pikachu used double team x6 and then thunderbolts

Bruno: Blastoise surf OHKO's the first four, and then uses two surfs on machamp. He uses submission and kills himself

Agatha: Nidoking OHKO w/ EQ, OHKO w/ crit Rock Slide, OHKO w/ EQ, gets Paralyzed, so I switch to Butterfree, who 2HKO's Arbok w/ Psychic. He is Paralyzed too. I heal Nidoking's health back, and Gengar OHKO's Butterfree w/ Psychic. R.I.P Flutter. Nidoking OHKO's w/ EQ.

Lance: Blastoise Double team x6, heals, and then Ice Beam and Strength for the win.

Rival: Blastoise Double Team x6, OHKO w/ EQ, Strength, Ice Beam, 4HKO w/ Strength, 2HKO w/ Surf, takes a Thunder from Jolteon and Faints. R.I.P. RIPTIDE. Nidoking finishes w/ EQ.

Do trade pokemon count as the first pokemon? And does the one you need to offer need to be the first one somewhere else?

Anyway, I started my challenge and chose Cyndaquil. Did the beginning stuff, bla bla. Then in teh first route I could catch a opkemon I managed to catch a Pidgey. I went into dark cave, but critted a Geodude to death. Meh, I don't like himn anyway. Grinded up Pidgey to level 10 and then I went into the sprout tower, hoping for a Bellsprout. After a lot of time searching for a pokemon I came across this annoying Ratata. I decided to catch it and box it away.

Continued my challenge a bit. Beat Falkner easily with a few Embers from Quilava. I continued to the ruins of alph, where I decided to catch an unown, just for fun. Then I continued to route 32, where I udnerrated Pidgey Tackle, which KOed the Ekans I wanted to catch :(. Then, later in union cave the first epokmon I saw was a pesky Zubat. I really needed a ground type pokemon for the third gym. I caught and boxed it. In the meanwhile, Quilava nearly got KOed by the Geodude of the hiker in route 33, but he critted ad I killed him before dieing. The opkemon in route 33 was a Rattata which I didn't bother catching. Now, in Slowpokes well, Pidgey evolved, and I didn't see any wild pokemon before the leader of team rocket in there lol. After talking with kurt I decided to go back there to catch a pokemon, or at least try to. I decided to try my luck fishing and I caught a whopping Magikarp which is now resting in my PC.

CHALLENGE OVER.
I got owned by a butterfree that kept using status effects. My Gegege was asleep and wouldnt wake up. Bye. My Squirill was poisoned and couldn't do much. Bye. My Ploom went down after being paralyzed and Confusion. Bye. And the other 3 didnt matter.
Oh well, it was a fun ride.

I went to Sprout Tower and beat the whole thing easily with Dwarf. I got Shelly to level 7, but I still need to get her up. Dwarf is now level 17, and we're leaving sprout tower. We arrived on Route 32 and ran into a Rattata. I decided to catch it, since It was Level 8. Score! Nicknamed it Fang.

I trained Dwarf to level 18 on this Route to Evolve him into a CROCONAW.

DWARF :: LEVEL 18
SHELLY :: LEVEL 7
FANG :: LEVEL 8

I grinded with Fang ... but then he died.So now I'm sticking with Dwarf for pretty much the rest of this game, and only going to catch stronger Pokemon for gyms and such. Shelly serves to be a little useless now.


- Grinded with Dwarf until level 20.
- Went into Union Cave and failed to catch any Pokemon.
- Only used Dwarf throughout Union Cave and leveled a good amount. Dwarf is my total main strongest.
- Continued to Azalea Town.
- Went into Ilex Forest and failed to catch anything.
- Went back to Ruins of Alph, but then decided not to do anything.
- Did all events in Azalea Town.
- Got Dwarf to Level 24.
- Beat Bugsy with total ease with Dwarf. Got to level 25.
- I barley beat my Rival because of his Bayleef. I'm trying to just train Dwarf, then grind with a caught Pokemon Later. Dwarf can handle so much right now.
- Shelly died. :[
- Finished Ilex Forest Event. Got Cut, taught it to Dwarf.
- Finished Ilex Forest, Dwarf is now level 26.
- Failed to catch Pokemon on Route 34. Dwarf is now level 27.
- Got into Goldenrod. :D
- CURRENT TEAM:
DWARF :: LEVEL 27 CROCONAW
- Whitney stood no match for Dwarf. Mwhahaha. Dwarf is the ultimate Pokemon.
- Dwarf is now level 28 !
- Healed up and left Goldenrod.
- Beat all trainers on Route 35 with a single or double Scratch. Dwarf Rules.
- Got Dwarf to level 29 !
- Did the bug catching challenge and failed to catch anything. :[
- Bug contest leveled my Dwarf to level 30, which is when he evolved. :D
- Went back to Route 35 and caught a Nidoran Female, which I named Pinta.
- I'm actually training Pinta now. It's level 13.

And I'm finishing off there for today. :D

A lot has happened, and once I again I don't remember all the details but XD

-Made it to Goldenrod, Skulblaka trained a little
-Trained harder and harder and harder XD
-Battled Whitney with Pokemon around level 23 and won =D
-Beat Sudowoodo (I thought it was gonna kill Brisingr O_O)
-Headed north, saw a Growlithe and tried to catch it...but failed (curse roar) =(
-Moved to Ecruteak and talked to Bill
-Healed and then headed to that Burnt Tower or whatever
-Battled rival...stupid Magnemite killed Skulblaka
-Looked downstairs, saw a Rattata first and killed it
-Headed to the...right of Ecruteak and fished, I think I killed whatever it was though XD
-Went to the cave, saw a Zubat, killed it
-Moved to the left of Ecruteak, saw a freaking Rattata (AGAIN) and killed it
-Went back to Ecruteak and beat the Kimono girls with no problems, thankfully
-Beat all the trainers in Morty's gym, but refused to battle him
-Dodged trainers and headed down, saw something I didn't want in that little grass before Olivine so I kept going
-Went to Olivine and used a fishing rod, captured a Krabby and named her Thringa
-Finally went back to Morty's gym
-Thringa was soon killed by Morty T.T
-Beat him and then headed back towards Olivine again
-Captured a Tentacruel on Route 40 (I think that's it, the one just after Olivine) and named it...ehm...Kodthr, boxed it for a rainy day
-Went to the Lighthouse and talked to Jasmine after battling, went to go get the medicine and save the day
-Moved past the Whirl Islands
-Realized I was on a new route, so I fished and came up with a Magikarp! =D Named him Orum
-Got the medicine and trained, having to go to the Pokemon Center multiple times due to poison
-Nearly lost Brisingr to poison! D= But luckily, I made it back
-Rare candied Orum from level 19 to 20, making him evolve into a Gyarados
-Headed back up the Lighthouse and gave the medicine to Jasmine, who went back to the gym
-Went back down and beat her rather easily
-Thought about fighting Chuck, but decided against it for now because he scares me XD

Just a small update:

Beat Azalea gym easily with Quilava. I caught a Paras in Ilex forest. I was training it up when I participated in the bug catching show, in which my first pokemon was a level 15 Weedle which i caught. Then I decided to go on training Paras there and it got beaten by a wild Pinsir :(. Then I replaced it with Weedle and went training. A pokefan (with Raichu) in the national park was pwning my Kakuna and I switched to Quilava who then died to Thunderbolt. Finished that Raichu of with Pidgeotto's quick attack. In route 35 I found a Psyduck :D. Currently training it.

Good start to my attempt at this challege on Yellow.

I got the Potion in the PC.
Went out on to Route 1 and Professor Oak stopped me and caught a Pikachu.
Went to Oak's lab, when I tried to pick up Eevee, Blue stopped me and grabbed it.
I ended up with Pikachu.
Fought and beat Blue's Eevee with my Pikachu, in my opinion that's one of the hardest battles in this challenge done.

I'll be taking this quite slowly, I'll update again soon.

Ok, first Pokemon seen on Route 1 is a Rattata, it was too early in the game to catch it though, defeat it for EXP.
Got a potion from the Mart employee
Arrived in Viridian City
Got Oak's parcel from the clerk at the Mart
Leave Viridian City, enter Route 1
Delivered Oak's Parcel and got the Pokedex

After a ton of grinding (luckily without deaths up to now, even though there were some close situations), I finally got my Shuckle and Weepinbell up to level 70. Rest of my team (old team+Snorlax) is around level 57-60, so don't expect me to be able to challenge Red today, I don't feel like doing any more grinding now. At least my movesets (except Snorlax's) are already finished, so I am not going to have to worry about them anymore.
