4 badges into emerald.. I'll post videos of the important matches and update my progress but I'm not in the mood right now for this. :D And one more thing.. i think it's not fair for Emerald that you have to beat the frontier brains to win the challenge because you'll have to Ev train ur pokemon to beat them (+if you have almost a whole team of NFE's), but i won't complain much, I'll do this anyway :P just stating my opinion..

-Won against blue
-Did oak's parcel stuff
-Made it through Viridian Forest

Pewter City Gym

-Bulbasaur came very handy in this gym with its vine whip
-Finished off the trainer and Brock
-Bulbasaur is now lvl 14
-Badge count 1
-Pokemon team count 1

After Pewter City Gym

-Got the running shoes
-Bulbasaur evolved

Also i want to know if i can use a pokemon of my choice for my last party member since I only asked for 5 randoms or does it have to be a hm slave?Cause if so im going to keep Ivysaur if not its going into the pc.

I started up and traded over an Omanyte because I don't want to have to train it up from Lv. 5 when I reach Cinnabar. I however am beginning to regret that decision because his only attacking move is constrict, which instead of working off his impressive special attack is going off his attack stat of 11 :(

So right now, just grinding in viridian forest until he can take something out without having to go heal in between each battle.

EDIT: I just surprisingly managed to beat my rival. It's a good thing his Bulbasaur doesn't know any Grass moves.

I managed to beat Brock, since Omanyte learned bite and can finally take advantage of his SpAtk.

So, I had recently started my emerald before this challenge, and had a seedot and zigzagoon, and no badges. Even though I was going to restart, I remembered seedot only has like 1% chance of appearing in emerald, so instead I just deposited zigzagoon in the pc and trained up seedot, using my treecko for the time being. Treecko will be my hm slave, by the way, with strength, rocksmash, cut, and flash.

Taught seedot bullet seed the moment I got it, and stopped using treecko in battles since seedot is strong enough now. Easily beat Roxanne what with the type advantage and all, and my seedot evolved into nuzleaf, which is nice. I'm goin' off to the route north of Rustboro to catch my whismur. Since nuzleaf is part dark now, and whismur is normal, I can see some problems with the second gym... hopefully the game'll let me skip it and go straight to Slateport and catch electrike :S

sorry it took me awhile, wednesday is my busiest day.

I'm well on my way, and have already picked up some of my team.

-I grabbed Paras in Mt. Moon, then got to Cerulean and went up Nugget Bridge and caught an Oddish.
-I beat Misty with Oddish and Paras had to finish off her Starmie.
-Got Cut in Vermillion after getting through the SS Anne. My rival was hard to beat, but I eventually took him out.
-Instead of beating Lt. Surge, I went all the way to Lavendar town and picked up a Cubone. As a bonus, it was holding a thick club :)
-I went back and Beat Surge, then went over and beat Erika as well.
