Potatoes are a plant. :V I did the other day cook a chorizo and potato dish with Sheep. :B Fry up chopped potatoes and onion with seasoning, add other veges, do chorizo separately, mix it together with some diced tomatos until cooked. Quite simple but tasty.

tender french onion steak + smoked salmon w/ hollandaise + thai curry paste pea purée is my signature dish bc it's the only thing i can cook reasonably well lmao

i have also been rather partial to mussels cooked with rose wine or red pesto spaghetti made with king prawns also cooked with wine

sorry.... i love my plants but my best meals have some animals in 'em....

EZ-2-Make Lasagna Soup

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 pound mild Italian sausage casing removed
1 32-ounce container chicken stock
2 15-ounce can petite diced tomatoes, with juice
1 6-ounce can tomato paste
1 teaspoon ground oregano
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2-3 Tablespoons freshly chopped basil more to taste
8 uncooked lasagna noodles broken into bite sized pieces
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese optional
Salt and black pepper to taste
Ricotta cheese for serving

Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add in the onion and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook an additional minute. Add in the sausage (break up with a wooden spoon) and cook until browned. Drain any excess grease and then add in chicken stock, tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir until combined and then add the oregano, Italian seasoning and basil. Bring to a light boil and then add in the noodles. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.

Stir in the parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and salt and pepper to taste. Ladle soup into bowls to serve and top with spoonful of ricotta cheese and more basil if desired.

Pan-fried chicken breasts drizzled with calamansi, steamed pechay Baguio, Italian salad dressing, and white rice would be my signature dish. So easy to prepare that I don't have to type up an entire recipe; just prepare each ingredient to your liking.

When it comes to availability, replace calamansi with lemons I guess, pechay Baguio with bok choy. And white rice with brown rice if you'd like something healthier.

edit: Don't forget to season your chicken.

Soft Banana Bread

Ingredients

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
⅓ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
2 ripe bananas, mashed
½ cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
2 teaspoons diced candied ginger

Frosting

4 ounces cream cheese, softened
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Chopped walnuts, for garnish (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with butter, then dust with flour. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla extract, stirring vigorously to mix. Add in the remaining ingredients and mix until you have a smooth batter. Empty into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 50 to 60 minutes, until the top is a dark golden color. Remove from oven, let cool for 10 minutes, then turn out of the pan onto a cooling rack to cool the rest of the way.

While the banana bread is baking, prepare the frosting: Using a hand mixer on low, blend together the cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy, then add in the confectioners' sugar and milk. Set aside until banana bread is completely cool before spreading on top and sprinkling with nuts.

Tips: Don't be afraid of lumps! If you have some in your batter, leave them in.

Walnut Raspberry Muffins
I stole this from a recipe book ages ago so sadly I can't give source.
Trust me they're delicious d("d)

Ingredients:
2/3 cup cream cheese
1/3 cup butter, softened
1½ cups sugar
2 egg whites
1 egg
1½ teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup buttermilk
2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
¼ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions:
1. Beat cream cheese, butter, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg whites, egg, and vanilla; beat well.
2. Combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture alternatively with buttermilk. Fold in raspberries and walnuts.
3. Cook in the oven at 350F for 20 to 24 minutes.

Life Hack: To imitate buttermilk, add 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice for every cup of milk. So for this recipe, add 1/2 tablespoon of acid into your milk and let it stand for like 10 minutes.
I always skip the wait whoops

Pretty sure I've posted this before but, here's a recipe of mine that's pretty easy to do.

Savoury Tart

Ingredients
1½ cups plain flour
A pinch of salt
90g butter
2½ tablespoons if cold water

Mashed Potato
Diced bacon
Parsnip
Sweet potato
Carrot
Spinach
Celery
Onion
1 tablespoon of crushed/minced garlic

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 180-200 celcius. (I don't know silly American measurements)
2. Sift flour into a bowl. Add salt.
3. Rub in butter evenly until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
4. Sprinkle water over mixture then stir until dough forms. Additional water may be needed.
5. Knead dough on floured board. Then wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
6. Dice onion and add with bacon to oiled pan. Cook until starting to brown. Stir during.
7. Add celery and complete cooking.
8. Re-roll dough on floured board.
9. Press dough in dish. Cut excess dough from the top so it's level with the dish. Chill while preparing filling.
10. Grate parsnip, sweet potato and carrot. Cut spinach.
11. Mix mashed potato, bacon mix, grated vegetables and spinach together. Use to evenly fill pastry then bake until cooked.

You can also cheat by using a pre-made dough. For the vegans out there it's easy enough to substitute the butter out for an oil spread and take out the bacon. The other elements of the filling are also easy enough to replace and tweak to your liking. Only the potato is really essential (although you could probably do it with a sweet potato or pumpkin mash instead if you wanted or some combo thereof).
