REPORT BUTTON

uh, pretty much never actually

because imo 99.999999999% of the things people tend to report would sort themselves out if you just left them be

the only thing I see to be worth reporting are trolls and spam, because those are problems that are best solved with a report. A group of people arguing over something stupid and calling the waaaaambulance with moderator action is a really low blow lol. "Look, I'm losing an argument! Moderators, he's making me blab blabadab blaba dab dab dab"

Most forums besides PC tend to let people who have personal issues like that sort themselves out though, which is cool.

If I'm pretty sure it's rule-breaking, I'll report it.

If it's in one of my own sections, I'll double check whether it's rule-breaking before taking mod-action.

EDIT:

I've only considered it once, a couple months back, shortly before I decided to leave the Treehouse. Reasons why I decided against it:
- it's the Treehouse
- people like that person, so they propably wouldn't bother deleting said post
- it's the Treehouse
- I left that hell hole shortly after, anyway

Never be afraid to report. It probably would have been dealt with appropriately, even if the user is well-liked. Only staff can see who reported a post.

And no matter who that person is, if they violated a rule they violated it. I'm sure the staff are going to take proper actions.

R.F., never be afraid or hesitate to report if a person violates a rule; reporting helps improving the community. ;)

I used to report lotsa things in Pokemon Gaming Central since it's pretty easy to confuse it with Pokemon General.
