  • Yea, if you are doing special wall go discharge, because you dont need something as powerful as TB in that position.

Actualy the power always helps and it doesnt matter if its a wall or not tbh. D_A is saying that discharge is better for the increased para hax chance and para helps dos since its a bit slow and it also helps the rest of the team

  • I wanna make a primary offensive "Grass Themed" team. Gimme suggestions.

I won't give any of my own, cause I'm awesome. I r not a noob, so therefore, it's OK if I don't give any suggestions, completley ignoring the rules that our mods so "thoughtfully" made.

OK, Vileplume will be in it. He'll be a supporter. And it's not an entirely grass team, as I'd like to try out Swampert. I also wouldn't mind Sunny Day, and Leafeon, but I dunno.

    Help from "experts". Heh.

  • SD Venusaur and Roserade are good options. You'll need something to clear out Steel and Flying-types as well.

dont forget fire types and moves. their power is boosted by sunny day KOing your grass types and causing some good damage to most anything else.

heatran/houndoom could be used on the team thanks to flash fire taking the fire attacks aimed at you and powering them up at the same time, they also help clear the steels oku mentioned and can help with fliers

    I'd get a fire-type of some sort.

THIS IS GOING TO BE A LONG POST!!! (and no, these are not all of the pokemon I have-- this is a bit over 1/3 of them. I only posted the ones that really needed help. I hardly ever use them because they haven't worked well for me.

I am also in need of suggestions for my pokes' movesets, all of them are at lv. 50; the first few are in desperate need of new movesets, but I'm not sure what to teach them:

this is a bit excessive o.O

check out smogon.com for all the pokes your interested with, its not original no, but they have movesets and all the information you need to change it up. they are probably the most useful for the pokemon in question. By all means, use the ones you want with whatever moveset you come up with, but if your going to battle other people on the wifi, i strongly recommend rebreeding.

    Magnezone @ leftovers
    Modest/Mischievous
    Moves:
    -substitute
    -flash cannon/magnet rise
    -Discharge
    -HP (hidden power) ground

    Slaking @ choice band
    Adamant/Strongly defiant
    Moves:
    -Return
    -Fire Punch
    -Focus Punch/EQ
    -Counter

    Scizor @ Choice band/Life orb
    Adamant/Proud of its power
    Moves:
    -Bullet Punch
    -U-turn
    -Superpower/brick break
    -Pursuit

Many sets for scizor, i just chose the choice band set for now, its the most popular one.

    Porygon-Z @ choice specs/scarf
    Modest/Thoroughly cunning
    Moves:
    -Dark Pulse
    -Tri attack/hyper beam
    -Psychic
    -Ice Beam

    Togekiss @ Lum berry/leftovers
Rash/Capable of taking hits (needs to be calm/modest/timid)
    Moves:
-Wish *you should REALLY keep that move*
    -baton pass/encore
    -Aura Sphere
    -Air Slash

Wish is actually a really good move on togekiss, it provides healing support if your other pokemon are low on health.

those are the ones that i know, because i've used sets like that before and i memorized it, i can't tell you the EV sets because they're all on smogon and im too lazy to go check it D:

    Is this for ingame ?

Scrap the ones with no sets firstly, bad natures.

    We need evs too.

    http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/

Go here, click the pokes and fix your sets accordingly. There is just way too many bad sets here and moves that dont even make sense on the pokes they are on. Also 99% of berrys are pure trash, use Leftovers.

can you trick a steel type a toxic orb and have it poison itself? just a thought

no, it has no effect iirc.

    DISREGARD!!!!
    IGNORE THE LONG POST!!!!

Yeah, originally it was for only in-game, but I plan to expand my horizons and try them out on Wi-Fi.
But as I have learned, I still have MUCH to learn.

Heh, thanks. I most certainly willOnce Im done with all of this probably.I just really want to get all 493 by legit means, and by recieving only legit pokemon. And since I dont have means of getting some pokemon, legenderies pretty much, might as well get them through someone who can remake the event for me.As legit as I can get them I guess, so why not? o:

  • Thought up this set when i was bored. I think it has a lot of potential. Any constructive criticism would be great! :)

    Oberon (Dragonite) @ Leftovers
    252 Hp, 200 Sp. Def, 56 Def
    Impish Nature (+Def, -Sp.A)
    ~Dragon Dance
    ~Roost
    ~Dragon Claw
    ~Stone Edge?/b]
I really think this set will go somewhere. Dragon Dance is for obvious reasons and Roost is to heal off the damage i take. The reason i have more Sp. Def evs than Def evs is because the main move Nite has to worry about is Ice Beam. Dragon Claw for STAB. I'm not sure about the last move, i want something that gives good type coverage.

Why Stone Edge? EQ gives you much better coverage. It lets you hit steel type pokemon that can come in on your dragon claws. But basically your set it bulky DDNite. Which would be this

    Dragonite @ Leftovers
    224hp/84att/200spe
    Adamant nature
    - Roost
    - Dragon Dance
    - EQ
    - Dragon Claw

so yeah....(You are better off with Salamence anyways)

My team no longer needs Wish support so I've removed Baton Pass and replaced it with Taunt. I'm thinking I can Toxic on the switch and then Taunt them and recover any damage with Wish. I'll have Stealth Rock and possibly Spikes support by the time I use it.

You can also try Protect instead of Taunt as it will allow you to Toxic stall offensive Pokemon easier.
