Umm ok, water spout fails due to his poor speed, Amnesia is easily stopped due to people using Roar/Whirlwind/Haze

Water Spout Wailord would need 252 Spd EVs, a Choice Scarf and a +Speed nature, and with max speed IVs will only be just outrunning Gengar. But things like Starmie will still outspeed you and destroy you with Thunderbolt

Rest fails on Wailord as his defences are too low to be asleep for 2 turns, so Electivire can easily switch in a massacre you (said Electivire because even if you use a Cleric to wake Wailord up, Electivire can destroy the most common clerics [Blissey, Celebi, Ampharos, Vileplume] without breaking a sweat)

Recover? I didn't even know Wailord can learn Recover

EDIT: OK, Blizzard had SE over Grass, Electic AND Dragon.
Water Spout is unbelievable with a high HP like Wailord's
Rest to recover some of that HP.
Amnesia to hopefully try and survive one of those nasty Grass/Electric attacks.
 
Rest is complete fail since its defenses are too low. Quick Claw is unreliable. I wouldn't use it even if hax was allowed. Blizzard is gay. Don't use it with only 70% Accuracy. I prefer Surf over Hydro Pump.

- Earthquake / Waterfall
- Avalanche / Body Slam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk. Edit: Skarm has Rest, Azonic. ;) I wouldn't say its fail.
 
I didn't know it could learn Sleep Talk.
Deffinatley something to consider.
I think it's just a bit of a shame to let something like Blizzard go amiss.
Especially when it combats all major threats, and it's not for the weak either.

I also need a good Atk/Sp Atk.
I was thinking Herracross/Charrizzard.
Haven't really considered any movesets yet.

Thats because Skarmory has the Defenses to back it up. ._.;

Sleep Talk could make Wailord a little more effective.

He seemed like a bit of a waste when I tried him out.

Amnesia sucks. Skarm is the best Physical Wall in the game. IMO. I wouldn't call her a waste.

I thought it was genderless O_o;

Skarmory is amongst the best physical walls in the game. It can set up Spikes which can really ruin Focus Sashers, numerous resistances, a great defense, Spikeshuffling, and access to Roost / Rest
