OK, I found these two in my PC the other day, and decided to have a go at the DP Battle Tower. I just need one thing to accompany them, most likely a tank.

Garchomp@Life Orb
Hasty | 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6SAtk
~Swords Dance
~Earthquake
~Dragon Claw
~Fire Blast/Fire Fang

Notes: Don't want to be locked into Outrage. Fire fang is an option, but it was originally hasty for the ability to use Fire Blast.

Starmie@Expert Belt
Modest | 252 SAtk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
~Surf
~Ice Beam
~Thunderbolt
~Recover/Psychic

Notes:
Modest because speed is not such an issue in the BT. With Max EVs and a decent IV (don't quite remember) it shouldn't have too much trouble. I'd be more concerned about having the power to OHKO things. Rapid Spin isn't needed in the BT, so I can't decide between Recover and Psychic.

So, I need a third pokemon, most likely a tank. Boah, perhaps?

Ok, i've been thinking, and I intend using Bronzong with Gyro ball.

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Brave | 252 HP, 140 Atk, 118 SDef
~ Gyro Ball
~ Hypnosis
~ Earthquake/Explosion
~ Reflect/Light Screen

Notes: Low Spd IV for maximum gyro damage. SDef EVs to take flamethrowers better.

Well? What do you think?

Well, that would be the idea. D: Brave is kinda gimmicky, even on your set, but whatever works.

Would you suggest another spread or set? Oh, and it should be more efficient to make it sassy and move some SDef EVs to Atk.

I run, for the battle tower

Bronzong@leftovers
252 HP / 108 DEF / 148 SP.DEF
Relaxed Nature
Trait : levitate
- Gyro ball
- Reflect
- Stealth Rock
- Hypnosis

SR, is actually helpful in the tower, it negates those stupid sashes, Alternately you can just blow it up n put Explosion >> Sr.

Chimecho (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/6 SAtk/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Heal Bell
- Thunder Wave / Reflect
- Recover

That's what I have right now. I want to get some other opinions before I finished breeding it. Maybe go Bold over Calm? I'm terrible at running calculations but is there a way it can survive a Pursuit from Weavile and go out with a Thunder Wave / Reflect?

Jolly Weavile CB Pursuit Damage: 60.48% - 71.26% on 252 HP / 100 DEF @Bold Chimecho. With a Reflect up and when you switch out.

Damage: 51.20% - 60.48% on Bold max hp / max def chimecho when switching out and a Reflect up.

Try to aim for something like that or in between those IMO.Depends on what you mean by survive, convincingly or by just enough.

Alternately you could give it Calm instead of bold and just max its def and hp.

With a Def + nature ; 31 Def IV's ; 31 HP IVs ; and Reflect in play ; Pursuit from a Jolly Weavile does 69.16% - 81.44% Damage with 31 Att IVs, and 252 Attack EVs; and CB.

Without Reflect: 34.43% - 40.72% Damage. Or at least what I got, anyways.

With a Def + nature ; 31 Def IV's ; 31 HP IVs ; and Reflect in play ; Pursuit from a Weavile does 37.72% - 44.61% Damage with 31 Att IVs, and 252 Attack EVs.

Without Reflect: 75.75% - 88.92% Damage. Or at least what I got, anyways.

Did you make sure that was the calc for "Switching out" and the Weavile has a CB ? As thats the only ones that carry Pursuit.

That looks a little too low tbh.

Ah. Thanks. I'm not too good at this myself. <.< It still gave me the same thing, and I have to wonder why...

You're right on those calcs, BTW.

So, i heard joo liek........Quilfish XP

Yeah, ive always actually liked this, mainly because its a peculiar pokemon, and i like pokemon who are weird =)

Anyways, i was thinking

Quilfish@Leftovers
252 ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 HP
Adamant Nature
Trait : Poison Point OR Swift Swim
- Poison Jab
- Waterfall
- Taunt / Thunderwave / Explosion / Destiny Bond / Rain Dance /Revenge / Payback
- Swords Dance / <Insert something i mentioned previously in slot 3>

The dude gets a couple of neat options, as you can tell, im kinda lost. its got nice attack 317 at level 100 along with 269 speed, which is not bad. if i go rain dance ill put all speed evs into hp and run swift swim..It also gets both forms of spikes, which is kinda neat.

Suggestion ?

Well, SD on that set gets powerful VERY quick. if you can get a chance to use it, Rain Dance would be awesome w/ Swift Swim obviously. boom!ng yourself is pretty awesome once you get weak, so id use it.

I need a standard torterra and a large fries to go pleash :D

I need a standard torterra and a large fries to go pleash :D

Torterra @ Leftovers ** Large Wood Continent Thing
Trait: Overgrow
EP: 252 HP / 252 DEF / 6 ATK
Impish Nature (+DEF, -SPATK)
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake. i know your opinion on sub-seed torterra, but he's bulky enough to utilize it. not sure on the EP, though.

Torterra @ Choice Band ** Large Wood Continent Thing
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 252 ATK / 6 DEF
Adamant Nature (+ATK, -SPATK)-
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Body Slam / Superpower. not standard, but certainly something to consider, like CBpert, only a few people will expect it to hit this hard. body slam paralysis chance = the sex. lul.

there are your fries. DDDDD: lulwat?

Thanks a lot Anti, that was exactly what I wanted to know :)

@ Flame Healer: You can put a male T-Tar that already know D-Dance with a Ditto, if it's what you wanted to know... Good natures would be Jolly/Adamant depending if you want more speed or power, and good ol' 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 6 HP should do good. Hope it helped ;)

Ye, but DD's an egg move so it needs to be passed on. I'll ask in breeders about the chaining f breeding.

Dragon Dance must come from male Dragonite I believe, which must be bred into a female Charizard. When you get a Male Charmander/Charizard with Dragon Dance, breed that into a female Tyranitar/whatever. Then, your Larvitars should have Dragon Dance. This same process can be done with Outrage (or both at the same time.)

A physical/special sweepr Sceptile, Arcanine, Drapion, Hippowdown... please? =D

Sceptile@Life Orb/Expert Belt
Jolly nature
252atk/252spd/6HP

Swords Dance
Dragon Claw
Leaf Blade
Earthquake/Brick Break

I think this is the set. Due to Sceptiles sub-par 85 base attack (I think), it NEEDS Swords Dance to sweep effectively. Dragon Claw hits nearly everything for at least normal, Leaf Blade for STAB, and Earthquake/Brick Break for Steels. Someone can clear this up.

Thanks. And is Arcanine viable for competitive battles? If not, any other replacement fire type?

Here's another question, back to my DD-Tar I was talking in the previous page...

Should I go jolly or adamant for a Dragon Dance setup ?
