Why not lead with something better?
Infernape can do his job way better as an anti lead, no questions asked :O

How about something that isn't super frail and cliche'? Plus, bulky leads are back, and I love bulky pokemon.

Sorry but F-F-Franklin, I'm sort of a Wi-Fi battler, not a Shoddy battler

So I wanted to make a gimmicky yet still usable team based around Sandstorm, but I have a feeling I'm doing it wrong...here's what I have so far:

Hippowdon@Lefties
Impish
6 HP
252 Def
252 Spec Def

Stealth Rock
Crunch
Slack Off
Earthquake

Comments: Starter for SR and an all around tank.
Gliscor@Bright Powder
Sand Veil
Adamant
106 HP
152 Attack
252 Def

Aerial Ace
Ice Fang
Roost
U-turn

Comments: Scouter and anti-fighting. Bright Powder + Sand Veil = lots of evasion and Aerial Ace and Ice fang let him do damage while U-Turn is handy for a quick escape and damage against Psychics.

Cacuturne@Brightpowder
Naive
6 HP
252 Attack
252 Speed

Sucker Punch
Substitute
Leech Seed
Seed Bomb

Comments: I've been rocked by this build before (although I'm not sure on the EVs), Brightpowder and Sand Veil help it avoid damage enough to set up even if it's outspeeded, once it does it can sweep fairly well.

Empoleon
Unsure of my setup.

I really do need a water type on the team, and with the Steel type making it resistant against the Sandstorm, this one fits the bill, however I'm unsure on how to build it. Right now I have it with Brick Break, Ice Beam, and 252 Def EVs but nothing else. It's going to be my anti-dragon sweeper and brick breaker, but I'm kind of unsure on how to finish him up.

Claydol@Lefties
Calm
252 HP
252 Spec Def
6 Def

Rapid Spin
Light Screen
Reflect (?)
Explode

Commentary: My special sponge and rapid spinner...I like light screen as it covers most of my other guys having lax special defense, but I'm considering replacing Reflect with another offensive move so I don't get out-stalled, but I'm not really sure what...another Earthquake isn't really what I need.

My last slot is up in the air, I'm thinking Tyranitar for the 2nd Sand Stream and the sweeper factor, but I'm unsure which build to give him. Considering I'm Gyarados weak, I also considered Magnezone, but again unsure how to build him.

I'm still pretty new to this team building thing, especially with the EVs, so thanks in advance for the help.

Think this one got lost in the shuffle.

Is Medicham terrible with FAKE OUT?
Or is there some FAKE OUT set to option one with?

I have a Jolly one, just finished, at:

Medicham @ Jolly
Item: Focus Sash/ Choice Scarf/ Expert Belt
4 def, 252 atk, 252 speed
-Fake Out
-Psycho Cut
-Fire Punch
-Drain Punch / Brick Break

Still looking for an opinion on my Medicham.

For those who think this a hack, consider the Breeder mathematica :

Smeargle (m) @ Wish, Fake Out, Psycho Cut, Baton Pass
+ Spinda (f)
---
Spinda (m) @ Wish, Fake Out, Psycho Cut, Baton Pass
+ Meditite (f)
---
Meditite (m/f) @ Bide, Psycho Cut, Fake Out, Baton Pass

Just heart Scale for the Fire Punch once a Medicham.
Ditto as often as necessary, if you find it to be.

QUESTION: Can Gardevoir get Icy Wind from XD? If so, can I get an Icy Wind considerate moveset for such a Gardevoir please?

Yeah, I think it can via the move tutor in XD..
It'll be a pain SRing for the right nature and ability, but it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Gardevoir @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
Nature: Modest/Timid
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Sp Atk / 252 Spe
- Icy Wind
- Psychic
- Calm Mind/WoW
- Thunderbolt/Focus Blast

Icy Wind something to cause a switch, giving you a chance to Calm Mind, or WoW the incoming opponent.
If you want some EVs in Sp Def, take from Speed.
Focus Blast is for Heatran, T-bolt's for Gyarados.
Switch in on Electivire, Heatran or any water/volt absorbing or levitating pokemon for Trace's full potential.

My team:
Blaziken-Fire/Fighting
Breloom-Grass/Fighting
Grumpig-Psychic
Gyarados-Water
Manetric-Electric
and im looking for a rock/ground type, maybe steel. I was planning on having aggron but he takes wayy too long to train. So if you could just anybody who sees this mention someone.

OK, I'm still thinking this out.. How does this team sound? I dont know about natures, ev's yet, and some moves are missing.

Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Adament (+Atk, -SpAtk) +4 HP, +252 Atk, +252 Spe
-Earthquake
-Body Slam
-Stone Edge
-Ice Fang

Scizor @ Choice Band
Adament (+Atk, -SpAtk) +4 HP +252 Atk, +252 Spe
-Swords Dance
-Bullet Punch
-X-Scissor
-Brick Break

Infernape @ Expert Belt
Mild (+SpAtk, -Def) +4 Atk, +252 SpAtk, +252 Spe
-Close Combat
-Flamethrower
-Fire Blast
-Nasty Plot

Metagross @ Leftovers
Impish (+Def, -SpAtk) +156 HP +252 Def, +100 Spe
-Earthquake
-Meteor Mash
-Explosion
-Stealth Rock

Gengar @ Focus Sash
Mild (+SpAtk, -Def) +4 HP, +252 SpAtk, +252 Spe
-Poison Jab
-Hypnosis
-Dream Eater
-Shadow Ball

Kingdra @ Damp Rock
Adament (+Atk, -SpAtk) +200 HP, +252 Atk, +56 Spe
-Waterfall
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Rain Dance

Better than my others?
I edited it a little more... How does it look?

Pokemon Silver:
Fire-Typhlosion
Dragon-Dragonite
Bug/fighting-Heracross
Psychic-Slowbro
Ground/Rock/normal-
Electric-Ampharos
Im just missing a rock/ground/normal type. Preferably normal since i dont usually use normal types in my games

Gibson, I'll give you some quick things.

Remove Body Slam for Ice Shard on Mamoswine; Body Slam doesn't have much merit, while Ice Shard effectively revenge kills dragons.

On Scizor, remove Swords Dance for Pursuit if you want a Choice Band, and put U-Turn over X-Scissor. It's almost as powerful, and it allows you to stay a step ahead of the opponent with mind games. If you want Swords Dance, use a Life Orb or something.

On Infernape, change Expert Belt for a Life Orb to ensure some KOs. opt for Focus Blast over Close Combat and go Timid, or go Naive. Infernape needs a speed boosting nature. The reason why I say Focus Blast is because it's very powerful, and although shaky, it has its benefits.

Metagross needs some major EV revamping. Check Smogon.com for help on that.

Gengar needs to be completely changed. Dream Eater sucks, Poison Jab sucks, and with Platinum, Hypnosis sucks. If you want to use Gengar, your best option is to either Specs or Scarf it with.

Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power Ice (if you can't get HP Ice, then using Explosion can work.)

Kingdra I don't know much about, but it would appreciate a boost in its power by a Life Orb or something. Damp Rock is feasible, but then again, I haven't used Kingdra.

this isn't the forum to ask for ingame teams

I have a doubles team for Battle Revolution style game play
(Where you see what 6 youre up against and pick 4)

All my lady friends would prefer me to use the super cute (:3) and indestructable (xD) eevolutions for this one. This means I'll need to breed...alot...so before I start on that I'd like to make sure my move sets are down and complete xPP

Espeon @Light Clay
Timid 192 Speed 224 Hp 92 SpD
Reflect - Light Screen - Psychic - Protect

Only Question is Protect/Helping Hand/Grass Knot
All Viable options. Protect to not blow up/get pwned. Helping hand to help someone pwn whatever's going to blow up/pwn me. Grass Knot to take on Ground types.

Umbreon @Leftovers
Sassy 252 Hp 200 Attack 56 SpD
Curse - PayBack - MoonLight - Helping Hand

MoonLight vs Wish. Then with wish, helping hand vs protect.
I like it right now, but if weather happens...xPP

Jolteon @Petya Berry
Modest 252 SpA 252 Speed
TBolt - Shadow Ball - Substitute - Hp(Grass)

No questions

Eevee @Focus Sash
Adamant 252 Attack 252 Speed
Flail - Protect - Helping Hand - Quick Attack

No questions

Vaporeon @Leftovers
Bold 188 Hp 252 Def 68 Speed
Wish - Yawn - Ice Beam - Hydropump

Hydropump vs Muddy Water D:

Glaceon @Bright Powder
Calm 208 Hp 252 SpA 48 Speed
Ice Beam - Hp(Fighting) - Helping Hand - Protect

I'm prefer Eevee itself over glaceon, leafeon and flareon; but alas, I must choose one to have a team of 6. Not sure exactly how to use Glaceon to support my team at all...I was thinking barrier and wish but eh...I'll probably bust her out if I see an Abomasnow...and only then xPP

So yeah. What do you guys think? :D

Technitian
-Bullet Punch

-Swords Dance

Tangrowth:@ Leftovers
252 hp, 224 def, 28 speed
Impish
Leaf guard
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Power Whip
-Earthquake

I don't know much about Tangrowth, so I'm guessing this.

You can't have a legal spread of 252, 252, 28. ;o

Oh no! Adulterers! Not only can Tangrowth not pull off a Restalking set with 50 Speed and 50 Special Defense, but Restalking is an easily exploited tactic anyway! The only thing it does is shut down Pokemon that plan on putting your other roster members to sleep. The only thing Restalking does with Tangrowth is provoke a switchout into Salamence/Roserade/Altaria/Raichu/Pichu/Palkia/Ditto @ Choice Specs. (Did I mention an embarrassing special defense stat anywhere?)

The Knock Off set:
@ Leftovers
~ Sleep Powder
~ Power Whip
~ Knock Off
~ Leech Seed

or the double powder:
@ Leftovers
~ Power Whip
~ Sleep Powder
~ Stun Spore
~ Earthquake

cause with that EV spread...
nothing else plz.
