So I just beat the Elite Four in Black 2 with level ~75 Pokémon, which needless to say was obnoxiously easy. I tend to spend a huge amount of time grinding in the early/mid game which is helped by the fact that I normally play on an emulator and can thus watch YouTube/Netflix in another monitor while mindlessly exterminating the entire population of Audinos. That's probably the most overleveled I've been to something like the Elite Four, though it is typical for me to challenge the E4 being an average of about 10 levels higher than their Pokémon. I was thinking about this more and I got curious about the rest of you:

What's the most overleveled you've been in any game? How about most underleveled?

I don't remember how far above or below level I have been at the point of the E4, but I believe it's never too far off. Maybe two or three levels both directions. I tend to get bored easily when grinding, so I've not experienced being wayyy overleveled than the NPC trainers.

I have never been overleveled before the Gen VI games. Because I hate grinding, I'm always at least 5-10 Levels under the E4. *sigh*

I don't tend to be overleveled when facing the Elite Four as to still have a challenge when facing them, I find it more fun this way. Recently, I was underleveled by about 10 levels when facing the FRLG E4 and was still able to take them out in one run.

Most over levelled in Crystal was about Level 62 with Togepi which is +20 approx on their Pokemon. That was mainly due to my attempt to evolve a Pokemon through happiness despite not fully grasping the concept of happiness at the time.

Most overlevelled was in DPPt and BW when I was at least 10 levels higher.

Most underlevelled were the FRLG and HGSS rematches. Didn't see it coming.

iirc I've never really been overleveled for the E4. I did beat the Kanto E4 in Yellow with pokemon around lv 38-40 though. Didn't feel like grinding that time haha.

I normally level my team up to match the highest level of the last Elite Four member. Still no challenges that way.

Back in Generation I, I usually began my Elite Four+Champion challenges when my Pokémon were around level 55. That was not far above the starting level of the first Elite Four member (Lorelei). Such a strategy was perfectly fine back in Generation I, but not so much in later generations (my team had to all be at least level 50 before I'd even have a chance against the Johto League, and my Alpha Sapphire team had been close to level 60 before I started the first battle in the Hoenn League-if my Pokémon were any lower in level, I would have been creamed by the time I battled Champion Steven).
