5th Gen [Reuniclus] vs Gothitelle

Reuniclus or Gothitelle?

I prefer Reuniclus majorly over Gothitelle. Mainly because of its looks but also its strength. I did have a Reuniclus in my team and he was pure pwnage until I was able to transfer my Cresselia over. I still have a heart for Reuniclus though. Its pre evos are so cute too <3
 
I choose Reuniclus, it was one of the first B/W pokemon I really liked, Gothitelle is one of the B/W pokemon I really dislike. Reuniclus is also very strong, I don't know about Gothitelle though.
 
Time to answer my own poll here! There is nothing more to say than what has basically already been stated as a reason to choose Reuniclus over Gothitelle. It even has a better Japanese name to be honest (Rankurusu ← Gochiruzeru). So like many, Reuniclus gets my vote. :)
 
I never used Reuniclus before so I don't know much about that Pokemon. Since, I'm a Black version player (still not yet done with White, actually), of course, I'll be choosing Gothitelle but she has also disadvantages in battle. She may have high Special Defense but she is slow and low in Defense so she dies easily to physical Pokemons. I used her many times but later on gave up on her. As for the design, I go for Gothitelle, of course. :)

I used a Gothitelle (female, Calm nature, currently Lv69) and although she did face losses at times, she became an almighty battler on my Black team. She is mainly a Special Defense specialist like you said, but she does have a higher Speed than her counterpart Reuniclus (who is nearly as slow as Musharna). Gothitelle was the reason I chose Black, loved her design.

I know Defense and HP are her weaknesses stat-wise, but you can EV Train her.

You could always ask for someone to trade you a Reuniclus, we do have a Trade thread remember?
 
Although I do particular favor one over the other I prefer Reuniclus in terms of battling and Gothitelle for design. I was really hopping Reuniclus was going to be Grass/Ghost so I was kind of really loving it at first until I found out it was just Psychic.
 
I like Reuniclus better because not only is it cute, it learns a lot of good moves. I still chose to play Black first, though.

Higher speed? She was quite slow in my party, though. I don't know. May be because I was dealing with fast speed Pokemon? -_- Can't remember. Haven't used her ever since she always faints on me. >.<
 
ALSO JUMPING ON THE REUINICLUS BANDWAGON.

I love Reuiniclus. Well, not competitively because it's too slow for me and I generally prefer fast Pokemon BUT in general, I love its design, its evolution lines, whereas with Gothitelle, they kinda suck :x When I first saw Gothita/Gothorita (iirc?) I was like "ew" since they both look creepy. I also had a big campaign going on against them in likes/dislikes, good times!
 
I have to vote for Reuniclus, he was an original member of my first playthorugh team. His design is so awesome, it shouldn't be cute but somehow it is.
Never used Gothitelle and frankly don't plan to.
 
I'm going with Gothitelle on this one, even though I play white. I didn't use either one (psychic types just don't fit in with my party), so my only experience with either one was battling the incredibly annoying Reuniclus. Naturally, I'm a bit biased.

But mostly it comes down to design. Reuniclus just creeps me out--it's like some sort of half-formed alien embryo. Gothitelle looks strong, imposing, and much more dark. So it's Gothitelle for me.

I think it's actually a pretty good thing for Reuniclus to have such little stats in speed. This gives it a total advantage with Trick Room, which is another reason I prefer Reuniclus over Gothitelle. You can sweep easily with a Reuniclus and because of its low speed, with TR set up, things can really go down well! There are other movesets for Reuniclus and they can work fine too, and Reuniclus is just what you see more of than Gothitelle. The stats, the movesets, everything about Reuniclus comes out better than Gothitelle to be honest, and in the end all that would really matter is your opinion from the two's design. Reuniclus is just win!
 
I agree with what everyone is saying about Reuniclus > Gothitelle. Reuniclus also has one of the best shiny colours in my opinion. The....hair....thing just ruins Gothitelles design for me. Especially after watching Best Wishes.
 
It's a tough descision, both of them are pretty much awesome designs alongside awesome Special Attack.

Gothitelle's pre-evolutions initially drove me away, but I've warmed up to the line after training a Gothita to see what it's like.
What I like Reuniclus is that it's essentially a giant sentinent cell with organelles on its 'arms'.

I'm gonna have to go with Reuniclus, since I pretty much liked the line from the start, compared to the Gothitelle line.

When I caught my Gothita, people were suggesting I not use her. I then decided to train her to she how well she did, and I eventually raised her into a fine Gothitelle who's now at Lv70.
