Hello Pokémon Community! It's me, The one and only Ruby with two ys.

I made a thread named: "Revisiting Games!" Where you post Pokémon games you want to revisit, Or are already revisiting!

For me, I am going to revisit Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

I'd love to read your posts, Have a good day/Evening/Noon/Night!

I've been revisiting all of the games I own since the old c-word began. Started with HeartGold - I have the pokéwalker, so it encouraged me to take up cycling in the Spring when the government told me not to work in order to complete the game. Also HeartGold is the most game of any I own, and that seemed like an unprecedented amount of free time to truly complete it (I'm one Glameow family short of the National 'dex Diploma; unlocked all of the pokéwalker routes; beat every record in Pokéthlon with only Entei, Raikou, and Suicune; EV-trained my entire team then got them to lv. 100...I even got the Gold stamp at Battle Tower for the first time ever. Didn't care for the other facilities though).

I then tackled Black in summer 2020 - a nice streamlined experience after the bloat of HeartGold - and Platinum in the late summer / autumn. The latter I again went in very intensely, breeding my entire team on HeartGold to have 31 IVs in relevant stats, egg moves, and then EV-trained them whilst keeping them at a maximum of level 5, trading them over at the points in which I would naturally capture them in Platinum. I wouldn't do it again, but it is cool to know that my Agility-using Empoleon's Petaya and Torrent-boosted Surf is literally the most powerful version of that attack it could be. I ran out of steam at Battle Zone though, picked it up again about a year later, completed the story, caught every pokémon available in the wild and evolved every Gen IV 'mon, did a bit of Battle Frontier then moved on to Black 2.

Once I complete Black 2 I'm torn on what to do - pay the inflated prices to complete my Gen III-V game collection so I can finally have a full National Pokédex (and Glameow, Purugly, Rufflet, and Braviary in Gen IV and V respectively), or settle for just re-installing the battery in Emerald, my first ever game. But completing Black 2 is a long way off - I caught a Latios with perfect SpA and Spe IVs at the first try, so I'm going to train it up to smash through PWT!

I'll be revisiting USUM sometime! Really got the itch after hearing about ZeoStar playing - I miss Alola too much. Not sure when that will be, but it absolutely will happen. Probably after I beat Bravely Default though. :x I'd also like to revisit BW2 properly since it's been an absolute age.

I started a Soul Silver playthrough back in January but after getting six Badges I had put that playthrough on hold because Legends: Arceus came out. Now I'm pretty much done with PLA (only 10 Pokemon left to complete the dex) so I plan to continue my Soul Silver playthrough very soon.

Totally random for me. I revisit them all the time, whatever generation I'm in the mood for.

Most common revisits are Gen 2, Gen 3, and Gen 7.

I don't replay the games often, mainly because 1. they're one-of-a-kind experiences, 2. I want to keep my Pokémon safe somewhere. Out of all my 3DS games, I have only replayed two - VC Crystal and Ultra Sun. Crystal I had never played before, but once I realized how good it was, I repeated the experience. I also admit I replayed that one to challenge a certain ninja at the Elite Four, because I got fully turned on to him in the short time between both playthroughs. Ultra Sun, I replayed to complete a Ghost mono-type run, which I had been wanting to do for a long time - and finally took the chance when PokéBank went free for a time after HOME's release.

Now that the Switch allows for multiple save files, I have also revisited Let's Go Pikachu for much the same reasons I replayed Crystal, ehuehuehue and now, after several failed attempts, I'm finally, FINALLY revisiting Shield. Since these are more recent, I can offer an amusing insight on how these runs went.

I didn't grow very attached to my Let's Go team aside from my Haunter and shiny Gyarados, but I had a Wailord of a time going through Kanto again with all the changes made to the region. I love how much freedom the game gives you as regards what events you can tackle, and how you can create your own story based off that! I just wish the variety of Pokémon in the game were greater. Conversely, I have grown VERY close to my new Shield team, but my motivation to go through the story is wavering now that I see it under a new light. I'm starting to hate how much the game railroads you and how obnoxious most of the characters (with the exception of Kabu, Raihan, Allister and Opal, and the rivals on a good day) come across on a second playthrough. My babies and I are spending more time in the Wild Area camping out, collecting berries and treasures and fighting Pokémon several times our size than actually doing the Gym Challenge simply because the latter implies going through that slog of a plot. Alas, I need to get them badges to get transferred Mons to obey me, so I'll try to enjoy the trip at least until Melony's Gym puzzle and the endgame events/post-game episode make me want to fling myself into the Sun.
