Suggestion: Scheduled name changes.

I noticed that the name change thread can go a pretty long time without name changes being done, so I figured a simple solution for this would just be to set a date every week where an admin will do the deed (Saturday seems to be a good day, since that's the day most people are off). That way people know when to expect them, and it'll create a sort of routine for the ones managing them.

Wait, self-name changes? Not that I'll change my name again for ages but hey nice to see it being implemented. It's all part of becoming a better PC than what we were before.

Yes, This feature I have seen on another forums with self name changes every X amount of days or months. I don't plan on changing my name ever again but it will be a nice feature. I just think that honestly they should set the X amount of time to a high number for anyone who isn't a PC Supporter because I can imagine now a lot of new members/trolls doing name changes a lot. If they set a limit such as name change every 6 months for Non-PC Supporters it not only would help with trolls/new members who don't appreciate PC like some of us older ones but also increase donations maybe. I see it as if someone is willing to spend money on a internet site then they must care for it which means they should be allowed special features that non-supports can't have.

A little question : how will you ensure members don't end with names like ****face647(you see my point)?

If they change their name to that, then admins will just change it back, I imagine. People with inappropriate names upon joining the forums get banned and asked to get a different name, I suppose this won't be unmanageable.

vBulletin actually tells you if your username is inappropriate. So if you try to enter a censored word for your new username, it'll let you know and ask you to choose something else. I imagine anyone trying to bypass that will fall under the "censor bypass" rule on PC and probably be warned/infracted. Regardless though, we should be safe enough from that due to us having certain words and characters banned globally on the forum. I imagine this functionality will be carried over with this feature!
