I can run a mile in 6 or 7 something minutes, but something I have, I think, is holding me back from going faster....anyways, it's best to conserve your strength. I usually walk really fast around the turns, and then dash across the straight aways.......but that's just me!

That's cool! A lot of you seem to take dance! I guess I'm used to my two left feet!.......not literally though hehe...
Whoa there, Jordan...^_^;; I could never run a mile in 6 or 7 minutes if my life depended on it. I'd literally drop dead...lol. They made us do that in middle school on our track...and it took me and my friends 17 MINUTES to go around it four times to count as a mile...>_< Well, that's because we pretty much did a mixture of jogging and walking and we'd run across the field in the middle to get to the opposite side of the track faster, lol. So yeah, that's why I stick with dancing, too...

We had to do weight training to, and I didn't really mind. Sure it got boring doing the same thing over again but I will do anything over Geography or any other boring class =\

We got to do wrestling in gym, and I thought it was pretty fun =D Even though at times we actually had to take 2 weeks to do some health work, we did more gym activities. :)
Yeah, weight training does get boring. And then after your sore and it's not fun. True... it is somewhat better than sitting through a boring class. But I just don't like gym. Later this year I think we do yoga and pilates. That will be interesting...

And Jordan... I basically that but I have such little breath support that I get tired so fast. Running long distances is not my strong point. Something about the track intimidates me. If I wasn't trying to run the mile and I wasn't thinking about it maybe I'd do better. Hmmm... maybe I'll keep that in mind when I run it.

I like dancing. You don't have to be really athletic to do it. And I think it's fun! This year is so different than last year. In my tap class... my teacher is a guy and there is now another guy in my class! I thinnk that's really cool though. My sister has a boy in her class and she doesn't like it. She keeps saying how she thinks he should go back to sports... that's so mean.

I'm done with gym. The only gym that you need at my high school is a 9th grade gym class that only lasts 1 semester (half the year). Noiw that I'm in 10th grade, no more gym. :P *looks back at all the mile-runs* Boo ya! :P

I take tap this year, too. We're doing Michael Jackson's "Beat It"...and cool costumes we picked out! I used to have a guy teacher for my hip-hop jazz classes but now I only have a woman that's the owner of the school. I have a friend that's a boy in my class but I don't mind it at all because we've danced together for 14 years. He can be overly feminine at times, lol, but he's an incredible dancer.

This is the 1st year I've had a guy in my class or as a teacher. Not a lot of guys dance. At least not in high school. My sister had twin boys in her tap class when she was 4 and because of it she quit. That was so stupid... especially since she has a boy in her class now anyway. We're not dancing to a song this year. It will be so weird. Our costumes are cool though. My teacher said he thinks we have the best in the recital!

You're lucky. I have to take a required 4 years of gym in high school. But at least 10th grade is the last time I have to take the physical fitness test.

We have pretty tight security too... we haev cops in our school!

We have gym finals. Last year for pool we had 20 minutes to swim as many laps as we could for a final. to pass you needed 20 I think... I think I got 25 or something. Thinking back.... that was pretty bad.

In middle school we had written tests in gym too. Those are so pointless.
A pool? Wow... We don't even have an auditorium... That's really neat.

You don't have an auditorium? We do... but most of the seats need repairing so it really sucks.

Yes, we have a pool... but I hated having the class. My hair doesn't dry so I had to spend the last 2 periods with wet hair. It wasn't fun.

My middle school had a pool and no auditorium. My high school had a pool but they got rid of it. At least I think there was a pool there. I hated having to go in the pool. We had to do so much work. Luckily now I'm in high scool and don't have a pool. Not even gym now that I'm in 10th grade. XD We have a big auditorium though. It can hold over 2,000 people.

Didn't they sell swimming caps there?
My school doesn't have a pool but sometimes I go to YMCA to practice swimming.

I used to go to the YMCA to go wimming as well, but it just got boring there.

It would be cool if our school had enough money for a swimming pool though, cause then P.E would be even cooler then it is now.

!BOIJEKA! (my new thing :P)

Uh...no. I hated pool either way though. Like I have said before I have little breath support so swimming underwater without taking constant breaths was not easy. Plus I am very bouyant so I float easily and I can't touch the bottom. When we had to get a brick off the bottom for a test... I didn't even take it. Yeah, I know it was stupid to not even try but I still passed pool. Some of the tests in there were stupid. How can they test you on your ability to tread water for 20 minutes?

I heard from my friend that the YMCA is being forced to change their name because someone took them to court for the name being so called raciest(sp?) against women, since the "M" stands for "Men's". Too many people are suing for the smallest things. Like with McDonalds. :P

Btw, I didn't get homework today! :P

I don't have homework tonight either, as a matter of fact, I don't have homework for a whole week! I'm on my break, so nyah =P

What?! tread water for 20 min? o.o How are you supposed to do that? I can only swim horizontally. I can hold on to my breath for about 20 seconds so it is sorta convenient. I gotta practice my freestle swimming, I swim so crookedly that I always end up hitting the boundary. :P

It's actually not as hard as it sounds. Only one person in my class didn't pass. I just don't think it's fair to be tested on treading water for 20 minutes. It sounded hard at 1st but it wasn't really that bad. My legs got tired but other than that...

I can't sswim in a straight line either. But I remember someone in my class last year, while we were doing backstroke, kept crossing over into other people's lanes. It was pretty funny though.

Heh, Once you're old enough, you can hold your breath for over a minute like my dad can!

You guys are lucky, I think. Your spring breaks are all come like a week before mine which is like at the end of March. Even our neighbouring province British Columbia has spring break before us, and they're even more lucky because their socialist provincial government made spring break two weeks instead one this year... -_-

Lol, that sounds like me. :P Probaly because I don't look where I going. One time I was getting tested how fast I swim so I began swiming very fast(in a perfect line) so when I was at my last lap. I crashed my head right at the finish line which turns out to be a wall. The teacher took points off but I still did pretty well. :)
